A/N: Alright guys! Here's the second oneshot in my Sweet Solitude series. You might want to read Sweet Solitude first, although this can be read on its own as well. Part of the Build-A-Bear Challenge. Prompt: Kissing sound.
First Kiss
Ever since that day in the corridor, Draco had been meeting up with Harry more often. They often walked to the lake together, always closer to the evening, of course. Not many people went out in the evenings, so the lake had quickly become their own little private spot to sit and talk. They continued this little habit even when December hit, and the weather became colder, forcing them to wear their winter gear outside. Neither minded; they were both just glad to be able to spend time with each other. It was on one of these cold winter nights that Draco finally built up the courage to ask Harry the question that had been burning inside of him since the day they got together.
"Harry?"
"Hmm?" The raven-haired boy turned to him, a content smile gracing his features.
"I was just wondering..."
"Yeah?" Harry's eyes gazed kindly and curiously up at him.
"Is-is it alright if I kiss you?" Draco asked, hoping he wasn't blushing. They had agreed to take it slow, and both had been too nervous to bring up this particular subject until now.
"Oh," Harry didn't look so much angry or upset as he did surprised. "You want to kiss me?" He asked.
"Yeah, I'd like to, I mean, if that's alright with you?" Draco asked, feeling like a complete idiot for even asking.
"Y-yeah. I'd-erm-I'd like that," Harry nodded quickly, reminding Draco of a bobble head figure he'd seen in a muggle store once.
Without responding, Draco simply leaned in, wrapping his arms gently around Harry's waist before pressing his lips up against Harry's. It took a bit of time-neither of them had ever kissed anyone before-but eventually the two managed to get their lips into the right positions, and it quickly became a battle of dominance as their tongues wrestled each other. They eventually realized that they would need to breathe at some point, and Harry was the first to pull away, cheeks flushed and eyes wide.
"That...was amazing," he murmured in awe.
"Yeah. It was," Draco smiled, leaning his head on Harry's chest and snuggling into him as they both looked over at the beautiful sunset over the lake.
"Hey Harry?"
"Hmm?" Harry asked, turning to look back at him again.
"I love you."
"Love you too, Dray. Love you too."
Draco let out a soft, contented sigh, and made it another personal goal to kiss his boyfriend more often.
