Sorry this chapter is a bit rubbish. Hopefully the next one will be better.
George waited patiently for Tilly to answer. Tilly was unable to speak he asked her the one question she was afraid to answer. Her head was telling her no while her heart was saying yes she missed her terribly and what she felt for Esther was the same as her ex.
"It's okay if you do. I won't judge you."
"Course I don't miss her me and her finished. That chapter is over." Trying to convince herself and George she was over. Becoming a defensive.
"Come on, you must miss her a little bit? You had been seeing each other a year?" not really convinced with what Tilly was saying.
"I do think about her now and then but that's only when Ste has mentioned her & it's hard when she used to live here and I have so many memories of places we visited."
"You know no one would think badly of you if did about her she was big part of your life. Why don't you speak to Esther I'm sure she won't mind."
Oh yeah, I'm sure she would love talking about my ex. No, I'm fine, I think I need to start clearing her stuff out my room as don't think it's doing me any good seeing."
"Yeah, maybe if you think that will help." Tilly nodded.
George getting up from the bed. "Look, as it's just me and you do fancy getting out the house and head to the shops as I need some ideas of what you want for your birthday?"
"Yeah, why not it will good to spend some time together." George agreeing with Tilly. He told her that they would leave in 5 minutes.
2 months had past & Jen was beginning to sort her life out. She had finally found a job working in part time in Sales Consultant in art Gallery on the high Street which Jen was really enjoying. It was helping her keep focused on the good things in life.
She had also been socializing with her friends. She was more positive about things and she was determined to win Tilly's heart back. She just wasn't sure now was the right time to make her move. Which hadn't gone unnoticed by David Jen change of attitude.
Jen was finishing up at the gallery today had been a busy day. She had made quite an impression with everyone could see her passion for art. One of the guys that worked there had a crush on Jen which was obvious to all the staff except Jen. As she was more focused on her work than anything else.
"Jen, glad I caught up with you. We have some very important clients coming in the next couple of weeks. So we need start planning as this will be great for the business. So I will be need your help." Said Jen's boss James.
"Yes, no problem." Answered Jen.
"I'll leave it to you to sort out and we will discuss later in the week." James phone started to ring. "I better take this" before disappearing.
Jen left work feeling good about herself and excited about the future.
Later that night Jen was meeting up with the gang. Sian, Lucas, Gemma, Dominic and David. At the local bar.
"Here she is" Dominic cheered as Jen entered.
"Hi all! Sorry I'm late work held me up. Boss wanted to see me."
"OH what have you done?" David Joked.
"Nothing bad" rolling her eyes at him. Taking a seat opposite him sitting next to Dominic.
"Just was wants my help with some big event which could work in my favour."
That sounds interesting." Dominic answered.
"It does. …So…..how have you been? Turing toward Dominic.
"I'm great thank you." Dominic smiled taking a swig of his beer bottle in his hand.
"How's is your lovely girlfriend Lucy?" asked.
"Going great she is amazing. Don't what I would do without her." Dominic gushed.
Noticing Jen face knowing that saying all this was making her miss Tilly.
"Sorry didn't mean to brag."
It's fine. You don't have to wrap me up in cotton wool just because my relationship didn't work out and it doesn't mean I don't want to hear about yours" reassuring Jen.
"So how are you? How's the job going?" asked Dominic.
"I'm getting there some days are tough but overall I'm ok. Job is going great, really happy there. People there are wonderful. There's only one thing missing" sighed Jen.
George and Tilly making their way in the front door they had been out all afternoon shopping full of bags in their hands.
"Thanks for today it's been fun. Oh and thanks for dinner as well." Dropping her bags near the sofa.
"You're welcome. Plus I now have some idea of what to get you as a present." Smiled George sitting on the sofa.
"I am surprised that Esther hasn't called you?" stated George.
"How many more times we are not joined at the hip. Plus it's good to be spend some time with you."
