Okay guys…first of all this is an author's note/poll I want to take regarding this story. I haven't decided yet whether the baby is going to be a boy or a girl but I do know that the name Melody for a girl is waaaayyy overused for Auslly. I get it; it is perfect because it is musical and everything and Austin and Ally are all about music, but I want to pick something a little more unique as far as these stories go and I want your help. Please comment which of the following names you like best for a boy and a girl. I have provided explanations for why I selected them and please keep in mind that while music is the language that bonds our beloved couple together, they have individual interests as well which I have played upon in making my list. Most notably, Ally's love for literature is a big focus in a lot of the name choices.. Also, if you think you have a perfect name that I have failed to have on my list then feel free to comment it as well. I am open to suggestions, however I ask that you provide explanations for each part of the name and give a first and middle name. Thanks.
GIRLS:
- Whitney Sky Moon: obviously for Whitney Houston and sky just pairs nicely with Moon.
- Scarlett Viola Moon: O'Hara and Viola is both a musical instrument and a character of Shakespeare.
-Mariah Beth Moon: for Mariah Carey and the Kiss song.
-Harmony Lyric Moon: both obvious musical choices but less used than Melody.
- Cadence Darcy Moon: cadence is a musical term while Darcy is a Jane Eyre reference.
- Audrey Belle Moon: for Audrey Hepburn and bells are musical I just prefer this spelling
- Alicia Reed Moon: for Alicia Keys and a reed is a part of the wind instruments.
- Lucy Piper Moon: Lucy is from a Beatles song and piper is obviously a musician type.
-Laura Harper Moon: Laura for the actress and Harper means harp player
-Lyra Grace Moon: grace is for the grace note in a song and Lyra seems fairly straightforward.
BOYS:
-Jackson Sawyer Moon: for Michael Jackson and Tom Sawyer
- Gavin August Moon: for Gavin DeGraw and August is the name of a Swedish playwright and Edgar Allen Poe character.
- Wyatt Emerson Moon: Wyatt for a musician and Emerson for Ralph Waldo Emerson.
- Dylan Michael Moon: Dylan for Bob Dylan and then Michael Jackson again and Austin's dad.
- Nash Austen Moon: for the musician and for Jane Austen plus a nice alternative spelling of daddy's name.
- Jason Beckett Moon: for Mraz and Derulo and then a literature name.
- Lennon Hendrix Moon: obviously two classic musician names.
- Holden Reed Moon: literary character and part of the wind instruments.
Feel free to recombine names to form new combinations. I just put them this way to provide examples and because I prefer seeing a full name rather than bits and pieces. Thanks!
