"So what's the plan?" KT asked, combing her damp hair. The group had returned to their campsite a few minutes ago, all of the teenagers worn out and cold, as the weather had taken a sudden change and a chilly breeze had begun to blow. The girls were gathered in their tent, already changed and now brushing out their hair - and plotting the boys demise.
"Well, Amber proposed sneaking in and painting their nails pink." Nina said. Joy frowned at this - "That's too childish." Amber frowned in the corner, tugging a knot from the end of her hair. "Well, no one else has had any ideas. Might as well make them pretty."
"Ooh, I have an idea!" Willow said excitedly, beaming at the others. Joy made a "go on" motion, and Willow nodded, "Okay, well, when I was younger, my older brothers always pulled pranks on each other during our family bonding camping trips -" Patricia made an audible groan at this, "- my brothers used to pull pranks. One of their favorites was taking all the poles out of the tent and letting it collapse." Even Patricia had to take back her groan and nod in appreciation of this. It was definitely something they could work with.
"You know, I think I've read something about taking a cable tie and tying the zippers of a tent together so they can't get out. We could do that and then collapse the tent so they're locked in. But do we have any?" Joy pitched in as well, smiling at Willow.
"I do, my dad always says to take some on a camping trip, never know when they'll come in handy." KT grinned, rubbing her hands.
"Those sound good. But we need something more. Something truly… devious." Patricia mused, pursing her lips as she brushed through her hair.
"I brought all this make-up out here and I've barely used any of it. I think it should get its use, I bought most of it especially for this trip." Amber complained, picking up her make-up bag and giving it a shake to emphasize her point. KT smirked, "Well, we could always put make-up on them. Always thought Jerome's eyes would really pop in mascara." Joy snorted in amusement at this and voiced her agreement.
"Eddie and Fabian would both look really good in lipstick." Amber giggled. Patricia sighed, "Fine, we'll put some make-up on the losers too. And… I'm thinking frogs."
"Frogs?" A few of the girls asked in unison.
"Yeah. There's a bunch of them around the lake at night. I say we catch some. Go and put make-up on the guys. Put the frogs in, lock up the zippers, and then collapse the tent." Patricia explained the master-plan in more detail, and, after a few more minutes of discussing and convincing, all of the girls were in.
"Oh, these are gross - why couldn't I have been on the make-up team?" Joy complained, wincing and jerking her hand back as an escaping frog clung onto it.
"Joy!" Patricia and KT hissed as the bucket of frogs nearly fell from their grips when Joy pulled back. "Sorry, sorry!" Joy whispered back, quickly grabbing the bucket again. Along with the squirming frogs, the bucket also had a decent bit of water in it, and it was pretty heavy, not to mention the three girls were walking in nearly pitch-darkness on an uneven, overgrown trail in the woods.
"We're almost there. Hopefully Willow, Nina, and Amber have the make-up done so we can dump these guys in and zip it up." KT muttered as they stumbled along, water slopping out over the edges of the bucket and the frogs inside croaking indignantly.
Finally, they made it to the campground, where the other three girls were impatiently waiting outside the boys tent.
"Everything went okay?" Patricia asked, raising an eyebrow as they set the bucket of frogs down. "Yeah, fine. Fabian nearly woke up but Willow started humming and he went right back to sleep." Amber said, scrunching her nose at the frogs.
"Alright, lets get the frogs in. Lets just dump them in slowly and then hurry up and zip up the tent and take out the poles." Patricia said decisively and motioned for KT to help her pick up the bucket again. They waddled it over to the tent and slowly dumped the water and amphibians into the tent. They pulled back and Nina quickly zipped up the tent and tied the zippers together while the others pulled out the poles. Everything happened just as planned, and the girls sat back to watch their master revenge plan unfold.
"Wah?" Came a confused grunt of one of the guys. Then a rather girlish scream and someone sat up, thrashing around and yelling unintelligible words. The 'ribbits' of the frogs punctuated the confused and groggy noises of the guys as they woke up to find frogs and water in their sleeping bags and their tent fallen on top of them.
"H-Hey! Help! We need help!" Fabian yelled and a figure began crawling towards the zipper. He fumbled with the zippers for a moment and then gave a groan of disbelief as he found them stuck and heard the girls laughing outside.
"Ew, man, get it! It's in my shirt!" Alfie screeched and tried to stand up, only to tumble over somebody else and fall. "Forget you! I have one trying to get up my pants!" Eddie yelled back and stood up to shake the frog out of his pants.
"Ugh, everythings soaked! Someone open up the tent!"
"It's locked! I think it was them!"
"Them? Who are you -" Eddie froze and groaned, "Oh, come on guys, this isn't funny!" He complained.
"Ugh, so not funny. Let us out, come on." Jerome pleaded as well while Alfie continued to thrash around in the fallen tent.
"I don't know… You did really hurt our feelings with that whole water gun thing." Joy said slowly, smiling at the others.
"What's in it for us if we let you out?" Patricia raised her voice some as Fabian suddenly yelled and jumped backwards, knocking over either Eddie or Jerome - she couldn't tell.
"Come on Trixie, don't make us beg." Jerome said, a thrashing Fabian and Eddie at his feet.
"Begging is kind of the point." KT pointed out with a grin.
"We'll - we'll let you guys pick what to do today!" Alfie offered as he tried to stand, a sloshing sound and a few ribbits following in his wake.
"I think we need a bit more than that, Boo." Amber said, tapping her finger to her chin.
"We'll find the firewood for tonight! Let you have first pick of food, the seats upfront on the way back, stop complaining that you take so long to get ready! Anything, just get the frog out of my shirt!" Alfie finally broke down and pleaded, thrashing around again.
"All of that sounds fair. Everyone in agreement?" Patricia asked with a satisfied smirk. The girls all hummed their agreement and the boys pleaded theirs. Finally, KT bent to cut the cable ties and unzip the tent. The boys, water, and several frogs came tumbling out of the collapsed tent.
"That was so unfair!" Eddie complained, storming up to Patricia.
"All's fair in love and war." Patricia smirked, quoting the book she had to read during this past school year, and handed Eddie the poles of his tent. "We'll let you guys put it back together. No more water guns, right?" Eddie glared at her as she walked away, but she only got a few steps before turning around to give him a sly smile, "Oh, and love that shade of lipstick on you, weasel." Eddie scrunched his nose for a second before turning to look at the other guys, only to see their faces covered in now running make-up. He sighed, rubbing his lips with the back of his hand, fighting between being fuming mad for waking up with a frog on his lipstick-coated mouth and being mildly impressed with the girls prank on such a short notice
Amber helped Alfie remove the frog from his shirt and quickly placed it on the ground, wiping her hands off on Alfie. "Sorry Boo! Payback, you know?" She laughed, standing on her tiptoes to give Alfie's nose a kiss before walking after the rest of the girls.
"They won. We can't top that." Jerome sighed in defeat, using a dry spot on his shirt to try to wipe off the mascara one of them had put on him.
"We have to top that. We can't just let them win." Eddie argued.
"Tonights our last night here, though. We ship out tomorrow morning." Alfie groaned, peering at his reflection in the puddle of water leaking from their tent. He had to admit - he looked pretty good in gold eyeshadow.
"Then we figure out something to do, now. They came up with their plan in a night, we can do the same."
"This is such a bad idea…" Fabian muttered as the guys all quietly began whispering about their plans while they tugged their bags from the tent.
An update!? No way!
Well, yeah! It wasn't the best, I know. I'm still getting back into the swing of things, I haven't wrote for nearly a year. I'm really rusty, and I just couldn't get into character. I haven't seen an Anubis episode in months... :( They're so hard to find free online! And I'll admit it, I had to google some camping pranks for this one, I hope the girls prank turned out okay! I'll be wrapping this up in the next chapter (maybe two, but that's a big maybe), but I'm not sure when I'll get that up. Soon, hopefully!
Again, I'm a thousand times sorry that I've neglected FF and my fics for so long. You can read my excuse as to why I've vanished and send me in ideas if you'd like, just check out my "Returning to Fanfiction".
Thanks guys, I hope I haven't let you down too much!
