Later afternoon Tilly was in her bedroom applying her make up. Tilly was wearing Bodycon dress that was in white that had black patterns on it, it was simple but looked sophisticated.

"Hey, you want to a glass of wine Esther is opening a bottle now before all the guests arrive?" geroge asked standing in the doorway.

"Yeah, why not." Tilly replied looking at George through the mirror.

George returned with two glasses on wine in his hand. "Here you are" handing Tilly a glass.

"Thanks" turning around to face him. taking a sip of her glass. George takes a seat on the bed.

"I can't wait till this Party starts." raising his hand in the air.

Tilly frowned. Noticing the look "Esther? She's like mad woman, trying to make sure everything is ready. She been so stressed, that's why we are definitely going to let our hair down tonight." George said with a little giggle.

Tilly let out little laugh. She still felt strange from earlier on the birthday card from Jen. She didn't feel like celebrating tonight she wasn't in the mood tonight but Esther had put so much effort in making tonight perfect & this was the first time they were spending time together in ages.

"Okay, what's up?" George asked knowing he read Tilly like a book.

"Nothing up."

George gave her stern look. "Who are you trying to kid."

"Nothing up, well..." she couldn't tell him that she received a birthday card of Jen and was missing her, at the moment she didn't know how to feel she felt all emotions hit her.I just miss Maddie, Jonno & Neil you know they should be here. It just feels a little strange that's all. You know Maddie would be round here getting ready with me telling me all the gossip.

" I know I miss them too, I agree does feel weird. Have you told Esther how you feel?" asked George.

"Your kidding how can I tell Esther that I miss Maddie, you know what Maddie did her. I don't think she wants me to talk about her tongitt do you?"

"Maybe, not but she is your girlfriend."

"No, I'll be fine. I best get finish up."

Geroge got off the bed and walked over to Tilly putting his hands on her shoulders. "remember I'm always here okay."

Tilly nodded turning around facing the mirror she watched him leave her room.

It was gone 8pm and guests had started to arrive music was loud and pretty light were decorated in the room.

"Here she is the birthday girl" Esther cheered gesturing for Tilly to come over. Tilly made her way over to Esther.

" This is your birthday present. I really hope you like it." handing over the present. which was in a box

Tilly unties the bow opening the first present which was White Gold Cubic Zirconia Set Heart Pendant.

"Do you like it?" hoping Tilly liked it.

"I love it thank you." leaning to hug Esther. "That's not all, I have one more gift for you here." handing over a envelope.

opening it up she pulled two tickets which were Katy Perry."

Jen smile grew wider, looking up at Esther "Oh my god" jumping up and down. "This must have cost you a fortune."

"It's doesn't matter. I wanted to get my girlfriend something special." Tilly kisses Esther to let her know she appreciated what she had just done for her.

Jen was sitting in the back garden sitting on the chair with her feet up on the chair, drinking a cider. It was evening getting dark as it was gone 9pm.

Jen shakes her head. "Why you brought someone back and you want me to make myself scares. So she doesn't think that we are sleeping together." Jen joked.

"Haha... Your never going to let that go about my ex."David taking a seat opposite her.

"Nope, Kim was one paranoid woman and felt frettoned by me."

"remind you of anyone" looking directly at Jen.

Jen gave him a deadly look then smiled.

"What you doing out here then? bit cold isn't it?" asked David

"thinking" taking swig of her cider from the bottle.

"Everything." shrugging her shoulder.

"Planning my next move."

"So I guess you haven't made a decision yet." Jen shaking her head.

"I can't not until I see Tilly."

"You best get a move on opportunities like this don't come that often."

"I know. David this is my last shot with Tilly this is it." arrhh why is my life so shit."

"Jen we all make fucks up, we just got learn from them." taking a pack of cigarette out his pocket, lighting one up, offering Jen one, which she took.

" I know. I just hope that I haven't left things too late." taking a puff on her cigarette.

" She is so wrong for me. I mean I was dating a student, how wrong is that? but to me she didn't look like a student or act like a teenager. When I found out who she was I was imcaptvated by her. You know what I miss about her the most."

"Her having a go at me, pointing out my wrong doings. Her boulderness. I just miss holding her." taking another drag from her cigarette.

"and you know what today is her birthday & I know I should be spending it with her if we didn't fuck this up."

David didn't know what to say so he stayed quiet.

Jen looking up at the sky. " I love this time of day, gives you time to reflect on the day." looking up at the sky.

"Yes but you still haven't made a decision yet.

"anyway" putting her cigarette out. "I'm off to bed Night."

David sighed knowing Jen was avoiding the decisions that needed to be made.
