"Happy Birthday to you, happy birthday to you, happy birthday dear Tilly! Happy birthday to you" sang Tilly's friends as they surrounded an already tipsy Tilly.
Esther placing the birthday cake on the table. "Make a wish & make it good one."
Tilly closed her eyes for a couple of seconds thinking about what to wish for, not like anything came true."
"Come on" one of the guys shouted out.
Tilly closes her eyes once again blowing out the remaining candles. The guys cheered and the music was switched back on.
5 minutes later Esther walked up to Tilly who was chatting & laughing with her friends. She smiled to herself thinking she never felt so happy, couple of months ago she wouldn't think she would still been her. Things were looking good, she had beautiful girlfriend that was so perfect & couldn't believe someone like Tilly would end up with her.
Wrapping her arms around Tilly's waist. "Mmmm you having a good time?" kissing her lightly on her shoulder.
Turing around to face her "Yes, I am thank you." smiling at her. Esther leans in to kiss after a couple seconds Tilly pulls away. "Err we have guests in the room. Control yourself" Tilly trying to make joke of the situation.
"Great party Esther." Said tipsy Sinead slurring on her words.
"Thanks glad everything has gone according to plan. Anyway lets raise a toast to birthday girl" holding her glass up.
"Cheers" the gang raising their glass.
It was gone midnight and guests were starting to leave saying their goodbyes to Tilly who was pretty out of it.
George and Tilly were dancing but was being held up by George.
"I think someone has had too much to drink." Trying to keep hold of Tilly.
"Maybe…. Tilly said with a giggle.
10 minutes later and everyone had left leaving Esther and George practically holding up Tilly putting her to bed.
"You guys are the best. Best party ever"
"We know" giggled George
"Where we going?" frowned Tilly.
"Putting you to bed. As you are drunk and you my friend will have a sore head in the morning" gently laying Tilly on the bed.
"I'll leave you to it" George leaving the room.
Esther helps undress her girlfriend for bed with some difficulty as Tilly didn't want to move as she was slowly falling asleep.
Once Tilly was undressed so she could be more comfortable Esther leaves the room and goes to the bathroom on her return she places a glass of water on her bedside table.
Tilly rolls onto the other side of the bed with Esther smiling at her girlfriend spread out on the bed fast asleep.
She whispers "I love you Jen" to Esther horror all sort were running through her head, shaking her head to dismiss the thoughts until Tilly whispered again. "I miss you, come back to bed" Esther had a lump in her throat she wanted to cry but thought she would speak her about it tomorrow.
The next morning Tilly woke up groaning as she had a headache and very dry mouth reaching for her glass of water on the bedside table. Taking a look at her clock seeing it was gone 11am and no Esther laying bedside her, she thought she may be up, deciding to get out of bed and see what she doing. Picking up her dressing gown that was hanging up putting it on herself.
Walking out the bedroom she notice Esther clearing up.
"Hey you." Walking to the fridge to top up her glass which was in her hand.
"Hey, you're up." Smiled Esther.
"Why you clearing up, I said I would do it. You've done enough for me."
"Did you have a good night yesterday?"
"Yes, I did what I can remember of it." Making her way over to Esther I just want to say thank you." Kissing her on the cheek.
Esther smiled at Esther and could see Tilly was genuine but after hearing Jen's name mentioned it was making her question if Tilly was in this relationship more than her.
Unknown to them a familiar face was in the taxi making her way over to Ste's. Tilly and Esther's relationship was going to be put to the test, as Jen was coming back for one person and that was to get her girl back but the question was does Tilly?
