NICK PARLOUZER, a kid with messy brown hair, and MILES PROWER, with yellow hair are standing outside Station Square High School.
MILES
Ahh, Senior Year.
NICK
We're on top this time...
MILES
We're never on top.
NICK
Oh.
They go inside.
.DAY
They walk up to their lockers, locations in hand. Miles slowly unlocks it while referencing the combination on a piece of paper. Nick casually opens it. It's wedged unlocked by a rolled up sheet of paper.
MILES
Are you even allowed to do that?
NICK
(looking back at the locker)
Meh.
Nick unloads his things from his backpack into it.
NICK
If someone wanted to break into it, they'd find a way locked or not. Also it's a pain in the-
Nick's vision flashes to an image of a being made of water with piercing red eyes. He grasps his face and almost falls to the ground.
MILES
Nick?
Nick grabs the bottom of his locker to keep himself standing. After swallowing a few times, he regains his equilibrium.
NICK
That's the fourth time that's happened... Although before it was only when I was you-know-what.
Miles's eyes widen.
MILES
Oh... wow... I-I... don't know why...
NICK
Well... that's new.
MILES
I know... I don't like it.
The bell rings.
MILES
Dammit, now we're late.
NICK
(getting up)
It's the first day, they'll cut us some slack.
They grab their stuff and head for class. Nick briefly returning to close his locker and rejoin Miles.
Gah! I'm sorry this took so damn long! I've been trying to juggle a lot and've been foolishly adding to my plate. (Another book series, a DP Screenplay, my videos on YouTube, and adding to Archmage's length) I need to pare things down.
That's why this will not have regular updates. Now don't worry, I'm not abandoning it. Sonic 5 WILL be completed. This series is where I effectively learned how to write in the first place; I won't deny it closure.
Also "irregular updates" means that if I'm getting Writer's Block on anything I'm working on, I'll try and push out a chapter of this and kill two birds with one stone.
In the meantime, I HIGHLY reccomend that you check out both my DeviantART and YouTube accounts, (links on my profile) as that's where a majority of my work is going. I'm posting Archmage to DA and doing Epic Readings of my old Fanfiction on my YT.
So again, I'm not going anywhere. And even when I finally am done with Sonic, I'll still be on the site, posting reviews. Any old readers, I'd really appreciate it if you would come join me with my current series.
And to everyone who's decided to try and take up writing yourselves, Go for it! You're free to use my versions of the Sonic characters however you like.
