One moment, there is a blur, a gust of wind, or a disturbance of motion.
But it's the speedster walking, sprinting, or running, without staying in position.
Streaks of a rainbow trail like ribbons in the sky.
An invisible rush whistling along the wind in the skies so high.
But this is the speedster's normal movement, everyone else slowly crawling
and tiptoeing
away,
all the way.
The world in normal pace, one person in fast-forward.
Life is in pause while the speedster waits for it to play toward
that one moment when superspeed is unnoticed
yet believed.
Is the speedster fast while everyone's normal with no attention?
Or is the speedster normal while everyone's in sloooow-mootioooooooon..?
Nobody can see, nobody can tell, nobody can catch up...
"Why can't the world catch up to me?" The speedster once said.
Everything was fast-paced in that person's head.
"The world's slowness is irritating, like waiting at a line-up for the ATM."
But the speedster pointed out, "That's the consequence for what I am."
Is everybody too slow or is everybody too fast?
People can't tell if the speedster's running past.
Is life better off if time's quick as the speedster,
or can the speedster slow down with the world for the better?
"Gotta go fast, gottagofast, gottagofastfastfastfast..."
The speedster's patience won't last.
But then happy days and sweet kisses would fall short,
and the speed will distort
how long or how close the speedster wants to be
with that special someone, that's you, you see;
the speedster wants to slow down for you, even if superspeed's in full-throttle.
"If I could save time in a bottle
The first thing I'd like to do.. Is to save every day
'til eternity passes away
Just to spend them with you..."
The speedster would sing even when days are blue.
Because no matter the time, no matter the speed,
being with you is all what he'll need.
