It took forever, but I'm finally updating. Thanks for reading and enjoy...

Cap A. POV

I sat on the top floor of Stark Tower, just thinking. I had been up here all night, being checked on by various members of my team every few hours. The only person not to check on me was Thor, who had apparently left with Alex to return to her apartment. Even now, as the sun began to rise, the thought made me jealous.

I was mad at Alex. Did I have a right to be mad? Not really. She and I had only been dating for a couple of weeks. I just couldn't' wrap my brain around her marrying Loki. How she could even still love him was beyond me. Truth was, I had begun to really care for Alex. It had felt good to have someone like her in my life.

I didn't turn around when I heard the door behind me open. I was probably just Natasha checking up on me again.

"You are an idiot." I heard a voice had not been expecting. I turned to find Thor looking none too happily at me.

"And why is that?" I asked, returning my gaze to the rising sun.

The big man stood by my side, looking down at me. "Because you care about Alexiya and instead of fighting for her, which you should be, you're sitting here feeling sorry for yourself."

Thor's words angered me slightly, but I was still too numb to really care. "It's none of your business."

"It is my business!" Thor shouted. "Alexiya is my sister, in every way but blood, and she deserves to be more than just Loki's guard dog for the rest of eternity." The Asgardian took a couple deep breaths and seemed to calm down a bit, taking a seat next to me. "Yes, she loved Loki once. She probably still does, in some way. I still love him. That doesn't matter anymore. She needs to move on from Loki and she genuinely is starting to love you. I can see it in her. She looks at you the way she use to look at my brother. Don't give up on her."

"Why should I not give up?" I asked, sounding very defeated and very unlike myself. "She'll be going back to Asgard soon, anyway. I'm told long distance relationships don't work."

"She doesn't need to stay on Asgard. She has the freedom to come and go as she pleases. Besides, I'd much rather have her here with you, than back home, where there is the remotest chance she will see my brother. He doesn't deserve to have Alexiya in his life anymore. He lost that right the moment he put his power over her happiness."

I did not reply, just continued to watch the sun rise higher and higher in the sky.

Thor sighed. "Just think about it. But don't think too long. Alexiya will be returning to Asgard at noon to return the device to the mystic temple. She also plans to agree to my father's request to marry Loki. I just thought you'd want to know."

I didn't turn around, just listened to Thor leave the roof and continued tracking the sun as it moved across the sky.
