Chapter 46

Emma and Henry sat on the couch and stared at them. Emma didn't know what to say. Regina had just gone full blown queen on them. They weren't sure if Regina was okay with the news or if she was just really pissed that Mara was threatening the family.

"Regina?"

"Not now, Emma. Shannon and Rhiannon have to get home. We have to figure out how to get them home. There are things that have to be done if I am to survive this," Regina told them.

"Do you need more oil?" Shannon asked her.

"No, Young One, I don't. At least not yet, I should be able to go another day or so before I will need another dose. Thank you for your concern."

"What are we going to do?"

"I am going to Tir Nan Og and ending this. The wars have gone on long enough. Families have suffered long enough. It is time to end this civil war and restore the throne," Regina stated.

"Umm…no offense, but how are we going to do that?" Emma asked.

"We are going to fight," Regina replied.

"With what army? You're the mayor and I'm the sheriff. Two people an army does not make."

"I'll go," Henry added, standing.

Emma shot him a look and she waited for Regina to tell him that he couldn't go. When she didn't, Emma gave her a quizzical look. Regina answered her by hugging their son.

"That's my boy," Regina whispered to him and he gave a big smile.

"We will help you," Snow offered.

"I can't ask that of you," Regina started.

"You aren't asking, Regina. I am giving them to you. You are a member of the House of Swan, now. That means that we will defend you. Henry is still my heir. I don't know how this is going to work, but you have the White Armies at your disposal."

"Thank you," Regina answered, wondering again why they had fought so long and not tried to make amends sooner.

"We need to figure out what Mara's plans are. Is she after Shannon? Or, will she come for Regina and Henry? She has to know who Regina is. The rest of you will just be considered fodder in her quest for my crown," Rhiannon stated.

"Then, I guess we'd better pack. I have a feeling that we are going to be leaving soon. What all do we need?" Emma asked, finally, giving in to the fact that fate once again was throwing them into the fray no questions asked with the hopes they would come out the other side victorious.

"You stay here with Regina and Rhiannon. I'll take Shannon with us to the Enchanted Forest. Will it be easier to travel from there or here by portal to Tir Nan Og?" Snow asked.

"There," Regina stated, "My magic is stronger there."

"Then, we will see you in a few hours. I will have gathered the armies by then. I will call for more help. We will supply what we can. We will meet you at the castle," Snow stated.

"Come, Snow, it is time for us to go, then," David said taking her hand.

She walked across to Regina and Rhiannon. She gathered Regina in a hug before she could stop her. Regina for once, didn't flinch or move away from her. She allowed it happen and actually returned the hug.

"We will do this together, Regina."

"Yes, I believe we will, Sister," Snow told her.

Henry and Emma stood there watching the scene before them. They still couldn't believe how well that Regina and Snow were getting along after everything. Emma smiled at the exchange. She knew that Regina had come a long way in the last few years.

Snow and the rest of the Charmings left. Regina walked back over to the table. Rhiannon just watched her as she pulled out some maps from an ancient book. Henry and Emma approached the table, too. They watched as Regina spread the maps out on the table.

"Okay, Mom, what are we going to do?"

"We are going to help Rhiannon."

"I got that, Mom, but how?"

"We need to plan an attack."

"You want to go on the offensive?" Rhiannon asked.

"She won't expect it. She also won't know that you have the backing of the White Kingdom. She also won't know that the Savior will be leading an army for you."

"I will?" Emma asked.

"You will."

"Umm…okay, anyone want to tell me how we are going to get me to do that?"

"Well, my dear, you are the Crown Princess and a Knight of the White Kingdom. You are also the only knight of Storybrooke. She won't expect that. Besides, I'm not going to let you lead them alone. We will be marching in front of the legions. Your mother and James will be in the front of others. Rhiannon and Shannon will have their own troops to deal with. We will have to break up the armies and head for a common goal."

"I agree," Rhiannon stated.

"Where was Mara's last camp?" Regina asked her.

"It was just on the outskirts of a small town far from the capital of Avalon. She was hunting me. I had to make sure that she didn't find me before I came across the portal here. I was too worried about protecting Shannon."

"I figured that she'll try to go back through the same portal. Do you think that we could find it? She's been here for months hunting Shannon. I don't know where she came through, though."

"I can find her. I don't know whose magic that she's been using. I know that she couldn't come through where I did. But, I used a one way portal. I couldn't take the risk that she would follow me. I couldn't do that to you or to Shannon. You that she'll come for you, now, too," Rhiannon stated watching her face.

"I know. She tried once before, but I didn't remember it. There is a lot about your daughter that I know now, that I didn't remember. It seems that you sent them to me and gave me a potion to forget that they were ever there. Care to explain that one to me?" Regina asked her.

Rhiannon looked over at her. She wondered when Regina was going to bring that up. She knew that they hadn't been back with Shannon long, but figured that Regina would ask about their original meeting. She knew that Birgit didn't remember everything until Regina showed up. She knew that there would questions and she didn't know if she was ready to answer them all.

"I had to protect her."

"I know that, but you sent her to me. You trusted me to protect her just for a few days. Then, you had me send her here, when I didn't know where here was. You told me to take the potion so I would forget her ever being there. What about the trust between us? We are supposed to be sister, are we not? How was I supposed to help you if I didn't know what I was protecting her from or the fact that I was protecting her?"

"What you don't remember you cannot tell anyone," Rhiannon replied.

"She has a point," Emma stated.

"Not now, Emma," Regina countered.

"No, now, Regina. I understand what she is saying. I was in the same situation with Henry when we were in New York. I was protecting Storybrooke by not remembering it. You protected not only Avalon, the throne of Tir Nan Og, but yourself and Shannon by not remembering that they were ever there. It was the best thing for all those involved. Just like it was the best thing for me and Henry," Emma told her, coming up behind her.

Regina eyed her, but didn't stop her when Emma decided to hug her from behind. She leaned into the embrace, happy that her wife saw the need to touch her. She looked around the room, over the maps and the table. Rhiannon just smiled when their eyes met.

"Little One, do not think that I have done anything lightly. I sent her to you because I knew that you could protect her in ways that I couldn't. Birgit was the only person that would always be with her. I couldn't get you to see past your hatred at the time to go with her."

"It might have helped if you had convinced me," Regina stated.

"Would you have given up your kingdom for me?"

"No, I doubt it."

"I know that and I knew that you would one day have your Little Prince. I could not stop their fate by changing yours. If I hadn't done things the way I had, you wouldn't have gotten your family here, Sister. This has been the best outcome for you. Yes, the darkness almost took you, but the little light that has been in their since we were children has never been extinguished. It wasn't going to let you fall into the abyss."

"Thank you," Regina murmured.

"You don't have to thank me, Little One. It is your Little Prince and the Princess that made that light shine for all to see. They are the ones that you need to thank for it. I had nothing to do with it. Honestly, I didn't."

"You pushed me in the right directions," Regina replied.

"No, Little One, I didn't. I gave you options. Options which you decided not to follow until you made this nice little town. I didn't push you. I've only ever pushed Shannon and Birgit and that was to you. I had to make sure they were safe."

"And, they are," Emma started. "Now, we are preparing for a war in a land I know nothing about. So, could someone shed some light on me about what we will be facing and why Mara is now the big bad that I am going to have to destroy? Because, honestly, I thought I was done fighting for a while."

Rhiannon laughed. Birgit smiled. Regina wanted to look mad, but she couldn't.

"Well as usual, trouble has come to find us."

"I will stand up and fight it," Henry added.

Emma and Regina looked at him. This was not the life they had hoped for him, but they knew, now, that he was an adult and he would find a way to fight even if they forbid him from going. He was going. They knew that. They didn't have to like it, but he was going.

"Will I need my sword?" Emma asked goofily.

"It could help," Regina replied.

"Are you going to go all…you know…Queenie on me?"

"It helps me get in the mood," Regina quipped.

"Moms!" Henry exclaimed. "Not now. We have a battle to prepare for."

"I know that Henry," Regina replied watching Henry's and Emma's face redden.

"Okay, Kid, out of the gutter. Let's go get our armor. I'm sure that David…Dad, brought something back with him. Guess it is time to don our White Kingdom suits," Emma told him.

"Alright," Henry said leaving the room.

"We'll be back."

"Emma…"

"I trust you, Regina. I always have. You'll protect us and I know that. We'll go get our knightly stuff. I'll ask Rubes if she is up for some adventure, too. The more the merrier, right?"

"I am sure that your mother has already gotten the dwarves aboard our little campaign."

Emma laughs, because she knows that it was true. Snow and Charming would go through the portal and pool their resources to help them. It would be only a matter of time before they would open a portal to Tir Nan Og and fight to restore the throne to the rightful heir. It was another day in Storybrooke. It was another day in the life of Savior.

"Regina, Little One?" Rhiannon asked after Henry and Emma had left them.

"Yes, Rhiannon?"

"Are you mad with me for asking this of you?"

"No, I am not. I know that you need my help. I know that I owe you for things I don't understand. I owe you my life, Rhiannon and I intend on putting your daughter on your throne. I am not going to let the throne of Avalon fall, especially to the likes of Mara."

"I know that."

"Then, help me plan for this fight."

"I am willing to do that, Little One."

"Why do I feel a but coming?" Regina asked.

"Your son is to the Pendragon."

"So you say," Regina replied.

"No me, Regina, it is the prophecy. He fits the description completely. And, he already seems smitten with Shannon and Shannon with him."

"How could you say that? They've only been alone for a few minutes since we got back. That isn't enough time for them to know anything about each other," Regina replied.

"True Love dear doesn't need but a moment. Surely, you above all people should know that. Would you deny him his True Love simply because she will be Queen of Tir Nan Og?"

A/N: Sorry for the long delay. I have been working on my other stories and I feel extremely bad for forgetting about my other open stories. This one will only have a few more chapters to it, but there will be a sequel. I hope you still enjoy it.
