Bella POV
Forks, Washington
I heard Alice squeal, this was the first time I had noted any noise coming from the dining room. I guess Edward had finally made his choice. I hope he picked a life with me.
"Bella I want to do it now, can we?" Edward said, looking at me with hope and love in his eyes.
"Sure Edward are there any questions that you have before we get started?" I needed him completely aware of what this choice meant for him.
"Only one, is it possible for you to be the only one to bite me?" Edward asked shyly.
"Yes Edward that can be arranged, but dad will have to be in the room because you are the first and only person that I have or will ever change." I told him.
"Can we start now?" He asked seemingly eager to start his new life with me.
"Yes Edward we can." I got up off of his lap and took him up to our room where Carlisle was already sitting on my couch.
"Edward lie down on the bed and strip down to your boxers." Carlisle instructed him from his spot on the couch.
"Why do I need to get naked?" Edward asked, a little uncomfortable and confused.
"Edward, I need as much access to skin that is possible." I answered him, bringing his focus back to me.
"Okay." He said, removing his clothes and then crawling up on the bed.
"Are you ready Edward?" I asked, trying to calm him down as well as myself.
"Yes Bella I am, I love you." Edward said, and that helped ease my nerves better than anything else.
"I need you to lie down on your back and close your eyes, I will be the only one to bite you, remember you are loved and that you are safe." I watched him do as I asked, then I looked over at Carlisle and used a volume that Edward couldn't hear.
"How do I do this dad?" I asked, needing his guidance now more than ever.
"Bella, breathe in his blood and let your venom pool in your mouth. Then bite at his neck, upper arms, wrists, hips, thighs, calves and ankles and then where ever else you would like." Dad explained in an even tone.
"Okay I'm ready." I gave Edward a long, deep kiss and whispered in his ear.
"Thank you for allowing me to keep you forever. I love you so much puppy."
I took a long deep breath and let my venom pool in my mouth. For the first time ever, I bit Edward where dad told me to and I picked one spot just for me. I gave him a long, deep bite over his heart, I hoped to be able see that mark once the change was complete. When I was happy with my bite, I sat back on my heels and looked over to where dad was.
"You did a perfect job little one, I will watch him as you go for a hunt." Dad said, always knowing what I needed.
"Thank you daddy, I will stay close and I have my phone." I said gratefully as I left the room to go on a much needed hunt.
Carlisle POV
I sat on Bella's couch and just listened to Edward's breathing as it started out deep then slowly started to get shallower.
Alice bounded in Bella's room, "What's up Ali?" I asked, knowing just by the look on her face that she had another vision.
"I came to inform you of what I have seen referring to Edward." Alice said.
"Is everything going to go the way we want?" I asked, knowing that was all that really mattered.
"Yes it will. He has a talent, but I know Bella will not be impressed if I tell you when she isn't around. He is going to need to stay away from humans for, from my vision, it looks like a year." Alice informed me.
"Will staying here, with the house in lockdown be adequate for him?" I asked, needing to know if we had to move sooner than planned.
"Yes that looks like it will work." Alice said, looking for the answer in another vision.
A few hours later Bella came into her room at a breakneck speed and slowed down to give Edward a kiss on his forehead and I saw her whisper to him as well.
"Hi dad, how has he been?" Bella asked, eager to know that her mate has been well.
"He has been good, quite like everyone else. Bella we need to go down and have a talk with Alice and the family. She has seen things pertaining to Edward after his change. It's nothing, I bad promise." We walked down and congregated in the lounge room. Bella looked at Alice,
"What's up Alice, what is your news?" Bella questioned, eager to get back upstairs.
"Well I now see us staying here for up to a year. He has a talent that I think is some sort of mind reading because I see him answering unasked questions from everyone but Bella. I don't know why Bella is singled out, I'm sure the reason will show itself soon." Alice informed the family.
"Excuse me Ali, but Bella needs to go up to Edward. There is a low level fear coming off him." Jasper interrupted.
Bella jumped up calling back to Jasper,
"Thank you Jazz, you are the best." We didn't see Bella again that night.
