The journey home hadn't felt too long, seeing how Elaine did fall asleep not too far into it. As such, later that night when she had been lying in bed, she couldn't actually get to sleep. It certainly didn't help that after all the 'excitement' in Monte d'Or, that she didn't have much of a way to escape the thoughts of those events. While those slightly sickly feelings she got from them were not as bad as previous days, they were still there. And not being able to escape them through sleep was just making her a bit agitated. God knows how Descole dealt with everything he did.

Elaine sat up in her bed, and blew a breath. She couldn't deny it now. She wasn't going to sleep tonight. She may as well get up and do something. But what did she feel like.

Clicking her tongue, the first thing that came to Elaine's mind was a drink. A good, good drink. Would it be a bit early for one though? It depended on how you looked at it. The way Elaine viewed it, it was still dark and likely late. So it wasn't too early for a drink. At least that would be her excuse if by some chance she was caught drinking.

So leaving the warmth of her bed and putting on her dressing gown, she left her room and moved quietly as she could down the hall and stairs, managing to avoid certain steps that were creakier then the rest. Now, where was the wine stored?

Elaine paused at the bottom of the stairs to think about it. She was sure the basement was a good place to look first. It seemed like a naturally enough place to store wine.

And she was right. After a quick walk through the dining room and kitchen, she had gone down the stairs into the surprisingly tidy basement, and found a door leading into a small storage for wine. Humming to herself, she looked through the bottles, before picking some red wine. From the brand, it wasn't too fancy. Just the type of stuff had with a casual dinner. Either way, it would be good stuff. Descole did have good taste in wine.

Which may have been why she nearly took an extra bottle or two of the same kind. She wanted a drink, but she wasn't greedy. Just passing through the storage door though, she paused to contemplate whether or not this was worthwhile. But considering what she had to put up with and do for the last few weeks, she deserved a delicious drink! She would drink what she could, put back the rest and head to bed. No one would know, and Elaine would get away with it. Besides, she wouldn't get drunk or anything. She was certain of it.

She only paused briefly to consider where to drink exactly. She figured she'd check the parlour first in case there was still a little heat from the fireplace at least. If not, she'd opt for the dining room. Entering the parlour, Elaine looked at the fireplace. There was still some heat, a little ember. Glancing to the small pile of logs, Elaine threw one in before sitting on one of the armchairs. Surely no one would mind her using one of the logs? She didn't think she would be here long. She only had one bottle. So she casually poured herself a glass she had retrieved from the kitchen, and began to casually drink.

Funny though, how quickly she lost track of glasses. How many did she have?

Un… Deux… Trois… Quatre… Trois…

Wait, didn't she say three twice? Had she already gotten drunk after three or four? It may have been a while since she drank, but she didn't think she had a low tolerance. Maybe it was the brand's fault? Yes! It was the wine's fault!

"Elaine?" Elaine blinked and looked to the archway where Descole stood. Elaine couldn't what he was thinking. Why did he have to wear that silly nilly mask all the time? And that funny hat with the puppy ears. Somehow the image of Descole with wolf ears and a tail came to mind and she broke out into a grin as she stood up. A pink, drunken flush across her face.

"Dessy, bonjou-." Elaine moved to stand up only to end up falling to the ground. Giggling. "Fell down! I fell down!"

"Yes, you did." Elaine heard Descole said dryly before he pulled her up and held onto her to keep her steady. He actually looked a little amused now. "Care to explain why you're here and drunk?"

"I'm not drunk." Elaine pouted. "I'm just… Not entirely sober." Elaine giggled as she held onto Descole.

"Of course you are, my dear." Descole gave a light chuckle. "Though that doesn't answer my question."

"Well, I couldn't get to sleep and I couldn't stop thinking of everything from Monte d'Or, and I felt like a drink. Simples!" Elaine finished with a chirping sound.

"I see." Descole tilted his head to the side. "I suppose I should take you to bed…"

"I'm not tired…" Elaine whined like a child.

"But I suppose you can stay up a little longer." Descole smirked. "This could actually be considered as a sort of revenge for catching me in my own intoxicated state."

"I'm not drunk." Elaine pouted.

"Of course you're not, my drunk little captive." Descole murmured as he sat her in the armchair and pulled the other one closer before sitting in it himself. Elaine just stared at Descole before grinning again.

"Dessy, why are you so attractive~?" Whether or not Elaine would remember anything she said the next morning after or during her hangover was an important question. But no matter what, it would appear with the smirk on Descole's face that he would enjoy drunk Elaine.

"It's natural, dear. I suppose I must say that you happen to quite attractive yourself."

"Of course, I am. I'm French." Elaine was still grinning towards Descole when she wrapped her arms around him and nuzzled the side of his neck. "And I'm your favourite, oui?"

"Of course, of course." Descole patted her head. "You're my favourite little puppy."

"Not a puppy."

"Yes you are." Elaine growled a little before she stopped and noticed something.

"… Did you change your cologne? You smell sweet."

"Well yes, I-."

"Like cake!" Elaine chirped happily. "Yummy, yummy cake!"

"If you say so." Descole chuckled. "I must admit, you're rather amusing when drunk. Though I think I prefer you sober. You angry reactions are more… interesting."

"Do you think Madeline and 'Enry will forgive me?" Descole looked a little surprised by Elaine's sudden, serious question.

"Excuse me?"

"Madeline and 'Enry? Do you think they'll forgive me for what I did?" Descole was quiet for a moment before putting an arm around Elaine's shoulder.

"Considering your cousin's choice words to me during her captivity and her demands to see you, and the expression on Ledore's face, I think it's safe to say you'll be forgiven."

"… That's good." Elaine murmured, leaning in more towards Descole.

"… I think it's time you go to be-."

"Can we 'ave cake?" Elaine asked abruptly, looking up at him with a puppy dog look.

"No cake. Bed."

"But I'm not tired…"

"You will be by the time we get up." Descole muttered before picking Elaine up bridal style with ease and walking out despite her childish protests.

"I've already told you, I'm fine."

"You'll be exhausted in the morning."

"Liar!" Elaine pouted.

"And you will have a severe hangover."

Upon arrival to Elaine's room, Descole somehow managed to open the door without putting Elaine down. She wasn't sure how he did it since she wasn't paying too much attention, but he did. He put her down on her bed and pulled the covers over her. He left for a few minutes to get a glass of water and painkillers for the morning and put them on her night side stand.

"There. Now lay down and-." Elaine grabbed onto his shirt and looked up at him.

"Can you at least stay with me 'till I fall asleep?" Descole stared down at her for a moment. He seemed to debate it but sighed and gestured Elaine to move aside.

"Just until you sleep. After that, I'm heading back to my own bed." Elaine giggled and moved aside. Descole sat down on the bed and put an arm around Elaine and allowed her to lean against him. He didn't get under the covers, but Elaine wasn't too bothered by that.

Elaine may have said she wasn't tired, but she fell asleep quickly enough. Though Descole did stay a little longer before he did return to his own room.

I figured since Elaine caught Descole drunk, she could be caught drunk by Descole. It felt fair. Plus I wanted to show what Elaine was like drunk :3
