The car journey was long with many silent patches. Rachel parked the car and fetched a ticket as Poppy held Charli close. The grey hospital building loomed above their heads. It seemed so much bigger today, and so much darker and grey.

"I don't think I can do this," she said to a worried Rachel. Rachel took her hand and smiled supportively.

"I know you can." They found the hospital morgue without too much trouble. Rachel went in with both of the girls, before leaving them for a short time. Poppy looked around the small, dark room. In the middle was a table, with Mollie and a white sheet covering her. A chair sat next to the table. Poppy took a seat with Charli on her lap, not really know what to do. Tears rolled down her cheeks and instinctively she took Mollie's hand and began to talk. "I don't believe that you're really gone. I want you to come back and stay for a little while. Stay longer. Stay with Charli. Charli's so little, she needs you Mollie. I can't look after her, only you can. But I promise, I will love her with all my heart. I promise I will look after her as best I can every day. I promise I will protect her from everything I can. She'll never forget you, Mollie. Neither will I." They sat in silence for a little while longer, before Poppy decided to leave the room, and leave Mollie alone once again. She couldn't stop thinking about her death. She must've been so lonely. So afraid.
