Chapter 26: Is this Punishment Part 4: Adam the Beast

Elsa POV

We walked behind, followingLumière to a huge library. I couldn't help but stare around my surroundings in awe. It was much bigger than DisneyWorks University.

"Holy crap. I've never seen such a huge library in my life." I said in complete awe.

"I know right?" Belle giggled. "That's the exact same reaction when I first came here."

"Really?" Then again she is a book fanatic. We then see a man in long dirty blond hair sitting and ready a book. Or at least I think he's trying to read.

"Young Master." Lumière spoke up. "Miss Booker has arrived."

"Thank you, Lumière." He smiled gently. Then he notices me. "Oh and who's the other guest?"

Lumière was about to say something, but got interrupted by Cogsworth. "This here is Miss Elsa Arendelle." Cogsworth introduced me.

"Arendelle? Hmm, yes I have heard you're family and company before." He stood up. "It's pleasure to finally meet an Arendelle." He held out his hand. "I'm Adam McCoy."

"Pleasure to meet you too." I shook his hand. But then I noticed he's wearing a Moon Stone necklace.

"Lumière, Have Mrs. Potts bring up some refreshments for our guests." Adam snapped his fingers.

"Of course young master." He bowed be "I'll be back in a gif." He went walking off.

"Oh no you don't." Cogsworth ran up to him. "I shall fetch Mrs. Potts."

"Oh no you're not I am!"

"I am." And with that they both ran off racing each other. We could still hear them from the library. I turn to see Adam and Belle both laughing.

"I apologize for their behavior." Adam chuckled. "They're always like that."

"Always?" Wow how does he put up with it?

"Not to sound harsh, but they act just like Abbott and Costello." He chuckled. "It's very entertaining."

"I have to agree." Belle giggled. Then she cleared her throat. "Well then, shall we begin our lesson?"

"Yes, please." He nodded. "Oh, and miss Arendelle."

"Please, you can just call me Elsa."

"Very well then." He nodded. "Why don't you make yourself at home."

"I think I will." I nodded.

"Oh and Elsa." Belle spoke up. She then came over to me and whispered something in my ear. "I want you to watch carefully. This might be the answer to your problem." I didn't know what she was going to do, but it might help I guess.

"Did someone order some refreshments?" A female voice said. We turn to see an old woman with a trolley cart carrying tea and cakes.

"Ah thank you, Mrs. Potts." Adam smiled. "Oh, that's right. This is Elsa Arendelle."

"Ah yes. Lumière and Cogsworth mentioned you." She giggled.

"I can imagine." I giggled with her. Then I hear a dog barking and a child laughing coming this way. And I wasn't kidding a dog and a child came in here.

"Chip!" Mrs. Potts said sternly. "What have I told you about playing in the library?" She then calmly asked.

"Oops. Sorry mommy." He frowned. So Mrs. Potts is a mother. That's amazing.

"Play in the playroom." She giggled.

"Okay mommy." He walks off. "C'mon Footpaw." The dog walked with him, tail waging.

"Aw he was so adorable." I said.

"He certainly is." Mrs. Potts laughed. "That's my son. Chip Potts." He really is adorable. Jack would have loved to play with him. I couldn't help but picture Jack and Chip playing together.

I watched Belle teach Adam in English and Writing, and just saying that in my head is actually kind of strange. But when I think about it, we was orphaned at a young age so he had no formal education. But something else caught my eye; it was how close they were. Now I'm not sure in relationship wise, but Belle was real close to him that I swear she wanted to cuddle with him. She looked really happy to be around him. Was this something Belle wanted me to see? Instantly I imagined me and Jack together like that. OMG! I shook back into reality. Is this punishment?

After the lesson Belle came over to me.

"Can we go talk on the balcony?" She asked.

"Sure." I nodded. We both walked out onto the balcony where there was fresh air. It was nice night.

"So." She began. "Did you see what I was talking about?"

"I guess I did." I answered. "Belle, this may sound personal, but…" I took a deep breath. "Are you in love with him?" Belle just stared at me unfazed. She then sighed.

"I am." She answered. "I've known him for about a year and I've suddenly developed something towards him."

"Does he know? Does he feel the same?" I ask.

"I don't know. Maybe he does, maybe he doesn't." Belle simply shrugged.

"But… what does this have to do with my problem?" I ask. She then turned her attention and smiled.

"Why don't you explain to me this friend of yours in good detail and why you are in love with him?" She asked. I took another deep breath.

"Well, he's kind and funny. He's cute and handsome. He serious when it comes to work, though he didn't' start out like that. He's also very courageous and protective. He helps everyone who in need. But he's like me; alone and sad." I explained. I did not mention the part about us having the same power.

"I see." She pondered. "He must be very sweet to be your friend."

"He is." I nod.

"But you said he had a condition."

"Yes. A… A heart condition." I lied. "I'm afraid that I might hurt him or worse… kill him." I shutter at the last part. Though it is true. I'm afraid that I might put his life in danger.

"I see." She said. "I think I now how you feel. I mean, I've never experienced what you are experiencing. But I think I know the feeling." She said. "But so what! That doesn't mean you should just back off and let a chance slip away!" She urged me. She then turned to the library room. "Look over there." She pointed. I turn to see Lumière interacting with one of the maids. "That maid is Fifi Babette. (Yeah I'm not gonna include Angelique. I thought she was too bitchy) Lumière's sweetheart. They've been dating for most of their lives. I can tell just by looking at them." I could tell they really looked happy together like a married couple. "You see Elsa? You should grab a chance. If not you might regret it for the rest of your life." Her words touched really deep in. She's was right.

"Thank you, Belle." I smiled. But our little happy moment was ruined by the site of black sand. "Look out!" I shouted and pushed Belle out of the way. The nightmares came attacked in the form of wolves.

"Belle!" Adam ran outside. "Are you alright!?" He frantically asked.

"I'm alright." Belle breathed. "What are those things!?"

"Nightmares!" I said. "Adam, get Belle inside!"

"But what about you!?" Adam asked. But one of the sand wolves lunged to attack me.

"Watch." I simply said. I fired a row of icicles at the sand wolf, decimating it. Adam and Belle watch in awe. "Now get her inside! NOW!" I ordered.

"Right!" He nodded. But the wolves blocked the entrance.

"Oh hell!" I muttered. They surrounded us. "Get behind me!" I ordered. They didn't questioned it, they just did. More wolves came and attacked us. But I kept firing ice wave after ice wave. Not to boast, but I was basically untouchable. But after a while I was starting to get tired.

"Elsa, are you okay?" Belle frantically asked.

"Yeah. I'm okay." Though in truth, I couldn't keep this up forever. Then I thought of something. It was risky but I had to try it. "Get down, NOW!" I shouted. I gathered all my power and let out a bursting wave ice and snow, destroying the nightmare wolves. I collapse on the ground, tired. That took a lot out of me.

"You… you did it." Adam said.

"Yep." I breathed. But I spoke too soon. I saw remaining sand forming. "Oh hell! Why am I not surprised." It was the Evolving Black Sand. It formed into a giant wolf. "I don't think I can combat that." I breathed. I turn to look at Adam's Moon Stone necklace. Hey!" I said to him. "Take that necklace off and let's see what you can do." Adam shuttered at what I said.

"What!? N-No I can't!" He panicked. That didn't seem to help. The wolf grinned at that. And tried to attack us. I manage to push them out of the way.

"This is no time to be scared! That thing feeds off of fear!" I explain. "You have to do it!"

"B-But I… I can't!" He stammers.

"What are you guys talking about!?" Belle panics. The wolf was about to attack again.

"Damn it, Adam! Think about Belle! Either we die at the jaws of that thing or you manage to help!" I argued. That seemed to strike a cord. Adam then got up and stared at the sand creature in the eye. Giving that thing a death glare.

"You're right." He said. He turns to Belle. "Belle whatever happens, don't afraid. I will protect you." But before Belle could answer, Adam removed the necklace form his neck. At first nothing happens, the wolf just strikes down Adam.

"Adam!" Belle cries.

"Oh no." I whispered. The sand wolf then turns his attention to us. But then Adam get right back up while also groaning like he is in pain.

"Adam!" Belle calls. The thing we saw next was really eye popping. Adams muscles began to grow big, he became all fury and animal like, and then horns grew on his head. We all stared in wide-eyed shock. Adam turned into a beast and roared loudly.

The two animals stared each other down as they then charged at each other. Adam threw the first few punches at the wolf and grabbed him, lifting him up, and smashing him to the ground. The sand wolf recovered at bit on Adam's arm hard. Adam roared in agony but fought back by punching the sand world in the face several times. The sand wolf finally let go trying to regain posture. Adam then charged at it at and went into a berserker like rage and relentlessly smashed the sand wolf so much that it eventually decomposed. Finally it was all silenced. Adam was breathing heavily. He looked tired, not to mention a little scary. He just sat there looking scared himself and sad. Belle still in a state of shock does manage to stand up and slowly walk over to him.

"A-Adam?" She nervously said. She peered at his face and saw sadness and fear in his eyes. "Adam?" She smoke a again. No reply just heavily breathing. She then looked down at his arm. "H-Hey, let's get you inside." She said nervously. They both got up and slowly went back inside.

Mrs. Potts managed to get hot boiling water and a towel. Belle took the towel and soaked it. "Here now." She approached him. She noticed Adam licking at his wound. "Oh don't do that!" She frantically said. Adam frowned.

"S-Sorry." Said under his breath.

"Hold still." She said and gently pushed it on his. Wound Adam couldn't help but groan.

"GRRRRRR! Man that stings." He sighed.

"I know, but try hang on this will sting a little." She calmly said. Adam could only cringe. "By the way. Thank you. For saving my life." She calmly said. Adam stared at her with awe.

"Y-You're welcome." He said. I figured it was time for me to leave these two alone.

As I was about to leave I turned to Lumière. "Did you guys know about this?" I asked politely.

"For the longest time." Lumière answered. "We don't know why, but he was just born that way. But his parents accepted him as their own."

"They were such kind people." Mrs. Potts entered. "It was truly sad that they died."

"Just like me. My family accepted me for having powers." I said.

"Really?" Lumière stared in awe.

"Yes. At first I thought I was just gonna run away from it. But important people told me that I had a it can be a gift if I choose it to be, and will I control it or let it control me." I explain. "So I with time I learned how to control it and master it."

"You are very kind." Mrs. Potts smiled.

"Thank you for having me over." I bow in respect. "And tell Belle I said thank you."

"We will." Lumière nodded.

When I got home, I then made up my mind. I decided to take Belle's advice. I took out my phone and called Jack.

Jack POV

Well after a good day's rest, I manage to recover from my cold. Still I felt really bad. I had to miss class and I still thought I made Elsa cry. But then my phone rings and I see it's Elsa.

"Hello?" I answer.

"Hi Jack."Elsa said. "How are you feeling?"

"Much better actually."

"That's great." Elsa sounded happy.

"Listen, I'm sorry for not being in class with you." I frowned.

"Oh, it's okay." She really is understandable.

"Hey and you know what, let me make it up to you." I state. "How about I come over to your house for a little while."

"That be great. I actually have something to tell you." I grimace at the last part.

"Okay, I'll e there in few minutes." I hang up and quickly got dressed.

As I few over the buildings I saw the plaza and… Elsa? She was on the roof top, just standing around like she was waiting for a bus. She sees me and waves. I land on the roof of the plaza.

"Hey there." I smile.

"Hi Jack." She smiles back at me.

"So…" I began. "What was it you wanted to talk about?" I then noticing her blush. But why?

"Well um…" She began. "We've known each other for awhile now. I mean almost a month, I think."

"Yes?" I raise an eyebrow.

"So I started thinking to myself…" She continued. "And… well I wanted to ask you something."

"Alright." I nod. "What do you want to ask me."

"Well uh, you see…" She started fidgeting with her fingers. "It's… it's kind off abrupt…" She then took a deep breath and… "Jack Frost, will go out on a date with me?" She blushed bright red.

And right there I was completely awe struck in wide eyed shock and was completely speechless.
