Hey Everyone! I'm sorry for the late update but it's been difficult for me to find time to write. Here is my next chapter. Please let me know what you think! :) thank-you for being amazing supporters! :D

Silas paced around the newly built Mikaelson mansion. All those vampires were currently distracted by his hybrid army. None of them would have thought about the place Mikael had actually died. He just needed Mikael to return before they closed the veil. This was his moment to get Mikael to do his dirty work.

As the moon was about to descend from its apex, Mikael's body came into view. As time passed, more colour returned to the body. Then Mikael's eyes flashed open. He quickly stood up on guard when he noticed Silas there.

"Finally," Silas smiled.

"Who are you?" Mikael said as he took a defensive stance.

"How rude of me; I'm Silas," Silas said as he held out his hand. When Mikael didn't shake it, he took it back.

"I've heard a lot about you," Mikael said.

"I'm sure you have," Silas said. "Seems like those witches are still helping Quetziah. Anyways, now on to more crucial topics; see I have realized that we both have the same goal. I need your pesky children and their friends out of my way and I believe you have desired the same?"

"I want Niklaus dead," Mikael said.

"Of course, he's the main thorn in my path," Silas instigated. "He's the reason your other children stand in my way. In our way."

From the expression on Mikael's face, Silas could tell he was winning. He was just waiting for the verbal confirmation.

"What exactly are you suggesting?" Mikael said. Silas smiled.

"Ah, now we are on the same page," Silas said. "First, we'll need to give them a warning as well as test their strength…"

Rebekah walked up the stairs to Caroline's room when she heard something outside. Were they back already? She vamp sped into the room and rushed toward the window. The heads of the four other girls in the room turned to look at her.

"What is it Bekah?" Caroline asked as she joined her at the window.

"I don't know, I thought I heard someone outside," Rebekah said as looked around.

"I heard it too and assumed that the guys were back," Katherine said.

"That's strange, there's no one there," Caroline said as she returned to Eliza, who was sleeping on the bed. Caroline picked her up and put her in the crib.

"'I'm just going to take a look around outside just to make sure," Rebekah said. Something wasn't right; she just had that gut feeling. It was that feeling she got when he was around. She shook her head trying to get rid of the thoughts. It can't be, he was dead and the witches must have put the veil up before he could come back.

"I don't think that will be necessary," Katherine said. "This house is magically protected. Even if there's someone out there, they can't get in."

"She's right Beks. Just leave it," Caroline said.

"I know but I just want to check," Rebekah said as she sped out of the room and down the stairs.

"Bekah wait!" Caroline called and went after her followed by Sage and Elena.

"I'll be fine Caroline. I am an original," Rebekah said as she walked out the front door. She continued to walk out scanning her surroundings. The others followed her out just in case. If it was Silas, it would be harder for him to find them all at the same time.

"There's nothing out here," Katherine came out as well. "Let's go back in before the kiddies wake up."

All five girls were outside scanning the area when they heard something rustling in the bushes.

"I think it's best we go back in," Sage called starting her way back until they heard a familiar voice.

"Did you miss papa?" said the voice. All five turned around to see the face that matched the voice.

"Mikael?" Rebekah said as she stood in front of Caroline.

"Rebekah darling, where are your manners? Is that how you greet your father after so many years?" Mikael said.

"What do you want from us?" Rebekah said.

"Well I would like to destroy Niklaus and those abominations he's created with this mate of his," Mikael pointing at Caroline. "How are you dear Caroline? It's been quite a long time," he humoured.

"You will come nowhere near my babies!" Caroline said.

"Yes, about getting to them. Why am I not able to enter a vampire infested house?" Mikael said. No one answered.

"Ah I see. It's been spelled by witches," said another voice. They looked towards the direction the voice had come from and found another Mikael standing there.

"How is this possible?" Rebekah said as she looked from one Mikael to the next.

"Oh let me introduce you to a friend of mine, but perhaps you already know him. This is Silas," the Mikael standing close to them said.

Suddenly, the two Mikaels swapped so fast that it was impossible to tell which one was the real one and which one was Silas.

"Watch out!" Katherine yelled when one of the Mikaels charged at Caroline. Rebekah quickly threw him acres away.

"Quick everyone! Back to the house!" Sage called. All the girls started to make their way to the house when they were blocked by another Mikael.

"Not so fast," he said as he took a hold of both Katherine and Elena by their necks. The next second he snapped their necks simultaneously. The two doppelgangers fell to the ground. Then he pulled out stakes from his jacket and stabbed them both in their stomachs.

"Sorry for the pain you'll be in when you wake up but I have no intention to kill today. Just need to send a message," this Mikael said.

Meanwhile, Sage and Rebekah grabbed a hold of the other Mikael. Caroline quickly grabbed a long piece of wood off the ground charged at him when the other Mikael came up from behind Rebekah and daggered her. Rebekah's lifeless body fell to the ground.

"Sorry darling, again we're only here to send a message to Niklaus and your other brothers," said the Mikael who daggered her.

At this point, Caroline's rage knew no bounds. Her bones started to break and her body started to bend. A fire erupted inside of her that she was not accustomed to. Her eyes glowed yellows and her multiple fangs protruded. There stood a magnificent blonde wolf. Her size was not that of a regular werewolf but bigger. She howled to the moon and charged towards one the Mikaels that Sage was fighting with and flunked them away with one push. However, the other Mikael came and twisted Sage's neck in a sick way. Sage fell to the ground.

"It's a shame," Mikael said as he stabbed her in her stomach with a stake. "I always liked her."

Caroline was angry but confused at the same time. Why were they staking them but not killing them. Caroline growled as she saw the stake sink deeper and sizzle when it came into contact with Sage's body. They had dipped them in vervain. Caroline ran towards the closest Mikael and threw him to the ground. This was definitely the real one. If it was Silas, he would have been stronger. Caroline bit at him and was on the verge of yanking off his arm when Silas grabbed her by her neck. This time Silas had changed back to his Shane face. Caroline struggled to get out of his tight grip. She whined and writhed to get out of his grip but that was no use, he was too strong.

"There's no point deary," Silas said as he slammed her against the ground. Caroline felt some of her lower bones crack and she howled in pain. It was definitely her vertebrae. She lay on the cold ground in her wolf form. She felt paralyzed. She would have to wait for her bones to heal and she couldn't change back to her human form either. The last thing she wanted was to be naked in front of Mikael and Silas.

"Are you not going to change back to your human form dear Caroline?" Mikael teased evilly.

Then he took out a stake from inside his jacket.

"This is a special stake for you Caroline," Mikael said as Silas smirked. "I heard of your new identity of being the female alpha. Anyways, we have no intention of making you unconscious. I want Niklaus to see you in this kind of pain so he gets the message strong and clear," Mikael said. He took the stake and stabbed it into her abdomen.

Caroline howled in pain. It felt like her body was burning. It was covered in both vervain and wolfs bane. Mikael came close to her face. She turned away not wanting to look at him.

"Tell Niklaus that this is just the beginning. Tell him tomorrow will be the day this world will be rid of him and his abominations," Mikael said as he and Silas walked away.

Caroline looked around at the lifeless bodies of her friends and family. She wasn't sure what to think about whether they were alive or not. She didn't know what kind of stakes they used on them. She couldn't take Silas and Mikael's warning lightly.

She needed Klaus. She couldn't even change back to her human form. Where was he now? Nik! Her mind screamed as the stake went in deeper. Nik!

The army of hybrids had attacked them from every entrance. Klaus jumped forward and pulled out the hearts of the first two hybrids whose bodies fell limp onto the ground. Kol grabbed one of the hybrids and yanked his head off. Finn and Elijah were almost finished with their attackers. Even the Salvatores had managed to bring down some of the hybrids without causing harm to themselves.

Soon the chanting by the witches quietened, the spell must have been completed. Klaus noticed that the remaining hybrids were now running away. That was odd. Silas would have definitely told them to stick to it till the end.

"Why are they all running away?" Kol said.

"I guess they think it's too late now that the witches completed the spell and put the veil back up," Damon said.

"No, that seems too easy. I mean it does not seem like something Silas would do," Elijah said.

"I agree, Elijah," Klaus said. "Something is not right." Suddenly, he hears Caroline's scream vibrate through his head. It was as if she in a lot of pain. "Caroline? We have to get back to the house," he said as he ran out of the caves.

Everyone else quickly followed with confused looks on their faces.

Klaus pulled up in front of the Salvatore boarding house to find many lifeless bodies and a gorgeous blonde wolf scattered amongst the ground. He knew it was Caroline.

"Caroline!" he called as he ran towards the wolf. He knelt beside the wolf and looked into her bright, piercing green eyes. He could tell she was in so much pain and she didn't want to change back to her human form. She whined in pain and large drops of tears fell from her eyes.

"It's going to be okay love. Just hold on. I'm going to pull this stake out of you," Klaus said. Klaus grabbed the stake that was sticking out from her abdomen and tried to pull it but it wouldn't come out. Caroline howled in pain. "Hold on love," he said. He didn't understand. Why didn't this stake come out?

"It's been spelled," Esther said as she walked up to them. "Here," she said as she touched the stake and chanted. "Try pulling it out now."

Klaus pulled at the stake and pulled it out. He then picked her up in her wolf form and carried her inside. Elijah followed with an unconscious Katherine in his arms, followed by Finn holding Sage, Stefan with Rebekah and Damon with Elena.

Klaus took her to their bedroom and put her down on the bed. He sat down beside her.

"It's okay to change back love," Klaus whispered as he caressed the fur on the side of her face. Caroline slowly shifted back to her human form. There she lay completely bare in front of him. Klaus took the blankets and covered her. He lightly kissed her forehead. "You're safe love," he said.

Caroline buried her face into his chest and cried. She still couldn't move the bottom half of her body.

"The bones in my back haven't healed yet," Caroline whispered.

Don't worry love, you'll be fine," Klaus said as he weaved his hand through her blonde curls. He didn't want to press her for information right now. She needed to heal. He knew that right now, she just needed to be held.

Downstairs, they had pulled out the stakes from Katherine, Elena and Sage's bodies but none of them had woken up.

"Elijah, if you don't mind. Can you please pull this dagger out of Rebekah," Stefan said desperately as he sat beside her.

"Yes of course. I just failed to understand why these three haven't awoken yet," Elijah said as he pulled the dagger out of Rebekah's chest. Slowly, the coloured returned to Rebekah's face and body and she opened her eyes.

"Rebekah," Stefan said as he embraced her. Rebekah hugged him back.

"Bekah, who did this to you?" Kol asked.

"Mikael and Silas," Rebekah said. Everyone stood in silence. Their worst fear had come true. Mikael was back. Rebekah described everything till the point she was daggered.

"I don't know what happened after that," Rebekah said.

"They took you down first because you were the strongest," Elijah said. "But I fail to understand why these three haven't awoken. I mean we've pulled out the stakes and even if a vampire's neck has been snapped it doesn't take this long to come back."

"These weren't regular stakes," Bonnie said. "They had been dipped in concentrated vervain and then spelled. Even the one they stabbed Caroline with, was dipped in vervain and wolfs bane."

"What kind of spell?" Finn asked.

"This kind of spell allows the stake to go deeper once it's been embedded into its prey. Then it releases its contents, in this case the vervain, deeper into the body," Esther explained.

"Just need to give them some time," Tasha said. "They will wake up. We just have to wait."

"It was Mikael and Silas," Caroline said. "They attacked us to send a message to you. They said this was just the beginning. A warning for you. He said that tomorrow would be the day he would...kill you and...the babies," Caroline stammered.

Klaus was tasted blood in his mouth. Mikael was back and he was going to attack his family. He wouldn't allow it. He would protect them no matter what.

"I will never let anything happen to you or our children, Caroline," Klaus pulled her in closer.

"I know, but Nik he was with Silas, who is so much more powerful," Caroline said.

"We'll figure it out; I promise you that sweetheart," Klaus said.

He held her for a while. No one spoke as they overheard Rebekah tell everyone downstairs about what had happened.

"Nik," Caroline whispered.

"What is it love?" Klaus responded as he looked into her green eyes.

"It's not healing," Caroline said it quiet enough that only he would heal. Klaus lifted the blanket and shifted her to the side to look at her lower back. It was a purple blue to indicate internal bleeding. How was this even possible? She was supposed to heal by now. She was a hybrid. Without thinking further, Klaus bit into his wrist and put his wrist in front of her face.

"Have at it love," he said. Caroline brought her lips to his wrist and drank from him. After a while Caroline let go of his wrist. She sat up on the bed. It seemed like his blood had healed her.

"I don't understand, I'm supposed to heal on my own. Why did I need your blood?" Caroline said.

"I don't know for sure love but I think it's because we're linked," Klaus smiled as he took her in. She was okay and that's all that mattered. It was a side factor that she was sitting naked in front of him. All those memories of their afternoon together clouded his mind.

Caroline noticed him staring at her with lustful eyes. As much as she wanted him, this was not the time. It seemed like after they had marked each other, the pull towards each other was greater. It was as if they couldn't keep their hands off each other. Caroline held his face in her hands.

"Now is not the time for this. Can you get me some clothes?" she giggled.

Klaus kissed the inside of her palm as he got up to get her some clothes. He knew she was right, they had work to do.

xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Klaus walked down with the now fully healed Caroline. She was still a bit weak due to the wolfs bane and vervain but mostly due to the loss of blood.

"There's our hero!" Kol said as Caroline sat down on the couch and Klaus went to get her a bag of blood. "I got to say Caroline, you are one beautiful wolf."

Caroline smiled as she took the bag from Klaus who came and sat down beside her. He put his arms around her pulling her close. Caroline noticed that Sage, Katherine and Elena were still unconscious.

"Why are they still unconscious?" Caroline asked.

"It's the heavy dose of vervain in their system," Esther replied. "How are you feeling Caroline?"

"Fine, thank-you," Caroline said as she sipped on her blood bag.

Suddenly, Sage sat up gasping for air followed by Katherine and Elena.

"Finally!" Kol said. "You guys are so dramatic."

"Kol," Elijah warned as he helped Katherine up. Finn passed a blood bag to each of them.

"Now that you all are awake and well fed can we hear the story from the beginning?" Kol said. "I mean I heard Rebekah's bit and some of Caroline's. What happened in the middle?"

"Kol, will you shut up for once. Let them be for a moment," Elijah said.

"Sorry, we kind of don't have much time. We don't know what Mikael and Silas are up to with the rest of the hybrids," Kol said.

"I hate to admit it but he's right," Damon said.

"Come on darlings, we don't have all night. We need to prepare for what we might face tomorrow," Kol said.

"What's tomorrow?" Katherine asked.

"Well from what I heard of Nik and Caroline's conversation, Mikael and Silas have planned something big for tomorrow," Kol said.

The three witches sat in the library trying to figure out what Silas and Mikael were up to.

"Do you think we can somehow transport ourselves there to find out what they are planning without them knowing?" Tasha said.

"Oh yah, I remember this warlock doing that spell. He transported his son here to pull the dagger out of Elijah's heart. From what I remember, Damon said that he was invisible during his time here. But the down part it, that you can still be killed. Damon set him on fire," Bonnie said.

"No, that is too dangerous," Esther said. "Silas will pick it up right away. In fact, he will probably expect it and must have already prepared for it."

"Can we somehow ask the spirits to tell us what they are preparing?" Bonnie said.

"We can try," Tasha said. Esther nodded.

The three witches put their hands together and started chanting. Soon flames rose around them. They could hear the whispers of the spirits around them. All three intently listened and picked up on words.

'Silas'

"What about him?" Bonnie asked.

"Patience Miss Bennett," Esther said.

'will die'

"How?" Tasha said.

There was a long silence as the witches waited for an answer. Then the last whisper they heard,

'Quetziah'.

Suddenly, all the whispers went away and the flames diminished. Bonnie opened her eyes.

"Quetziah? How will she kill him from up there?" Bonnie said.

"I don't know," Tasha said.

"No, there has to be more," Esther said when they heard the front door bell.

"Who could that be?" Bonnie said.

"Let's see," Tasha said as they both left Esther sitting at the table. They walked to the front and watched Damon open the door. There standing was a girl with long luscious black hair, golden beige tone and dark eyes.

"Who are you?" Damon said as he eyed the girl.

"I'm Quetziah," she said as she walked in.
