In this chapter, Kendall thinks James slept with the blue haired girl and Kendall works to get James to tell him what exactly happened. Meanwhile, Logan and Carlos have no idea about this and Logan attempts to set Kendall up with the pretty girl.

CHAPTER 9:

Kendall was awoken at God-knows-how-early o'clock in the morning by Carlos yelling. "GUYS!" Carlos screamed, jumping on Kendall's bed and throwing the pillows at Logan. Kendall sat up with his eyes still half closed, causing Carlos to fall off of the bed and onto the floor. "What?!" Kendall asked Carlos. Carlos stood up and dusted himself off. "James is gone and he didn't leave a note or anything. The most worrying part is he left his lucky comb behind! He might be in trouble!" he panicked. Kendall rolled his eyes. "I'll go find him. Logan, calm Carlos down while I'm gone." He said, trudging out of bed to go get dressed.

It didn't exactly take Kendall very long to find James. He literally walked a few steps out of the apartment and the very next door to him slowly opened to reveal James. But the worrying part was that James appeared to have lost his shirt and his hair was a mess. (That first part is normal, but the second part was worrying.) Kendall hid behind a nearby potted plant in an attempt to get a glimpse of the inside of the apartment before confronting James. To his annoyance, all Kendall could see within the apartment was darkness, but then he heard a female voice saying "do you have to go? We're just getting started!" Kendall wondered who that was when he saw the blue haired girl from earlier who Carlos liked standing in the doorway in nothing but a very thin dressing gown. James looked at her. "We didn't do anything you hear me? If anyone finds out I was even here, I'm dead. So I was never here. Right?" he said to her. The girl nodded and James began to walk off. Kendall then took this opportunity to confront James. As the girl shut the door again, Kendall jumped out from behind the potted plant and yelled "HOW COULD YOU?!" at the top of his voice, making James jump and scream. James looked around. "Where did you come from? And more importantly how long have you been standing there?" James asked worriedly. "Carlos called dibs on her at the front desk!" Kendall yelled, ignoring James. "And besides, you have a girlfriend! What were you thinking?" demanded Kendall. James paused for a moment. (Kendall assumed he was attempting to think of an excuse.) "oh, I get why you're freaking out. Look, nothing happened in there ok? Whatever she told you we did is not true." James told Kendall. But Kendall didn't believe James. "SHE didn't tell me anything. But I know what you did. There's no denying it." He told him. But James still stuck to his side of the story. "I didn't do anything. We kissed but that was about it." James' voice sounded very shaky so Kendall thought James must've been lying. But how could he find out for sure?

MEANWHILE...LATER ON...
after Kendall left, Carlos immediately started talking about the next thing on his mind; the blue haired girl. He wouldn't shut up about her for about half an hour. "I went to the front desk this morning to talk to her but she wasn't there. (terrible that she wasn't there at 6am. I mean who sleeps that late?) But I found out her name. It's really pretty; Jocelyn Faith. (It was written on a name tag she left at her desk.) Her name really suits her don't you think? I've never seen a girl who looks so pretty! Do you think she might like me back? I wonder-" to shut Carlos up, Logan put his hand over his mouth. "Ok let's go back to the front desk and see if she's there. If she is, you can go talk to her and see if she likes you. Simple!" Logan told Carlos. Logan decided to go with Carlos for safe keeping. How bad could Carlos be?

Logan thought HE was bad with girls. Somehow Carlos had gotten even worse than Logan. From the moment Carlos stepped up to the front desk, it was a disaster. First of all, the two approached the desk to find she still wasn't there. The sign she left said she'd be back at 11 and it was 11. Just as Carlos and Logan were about to leave, the girl returned. This time she had a guilty look in her eyes and even Carlos could tell she wasn't herself. And trust him to point that out. "Wow!" exclaimed Carlos. "You look terrible. Did your boyfriend cheat on you? Or did you do something you regret? Either way I need to talk to you about something." Carlos told her bluntly. Jocelyn looked up at Carlos and forced herself to smile. "That's a bit personal. And what did you want to talk to me about?" she asked. Carlos paused. He just stood there, staring at Jocelyn for a full five minutes before Logan slapped him and took him out of his trance. "I...I like...I LIKE ORANGES!" yelled Carlos, running off in the other direction, leaving Logan alone with Jocelyn. If Logan would've been left alone with a pretty girl like Jocelyn 10 years ago, Logan would most likely have freaked out and not been able to talk to her. But now something was different. Logan felt more confident and he decided to tell Jocelyn about Carlos for himself. "Umm...Jocelyn is it? Look, my friend has a slight crush on you and as you can tell, he's just a little bit nervous. He wants to know if...if you're interested in him... are you?" Logan asked calmly. The blue haired girl didn't say anything at first; she just scanned Logan up and down with her eyes. Then she smiled. "Well tell your 'friend' I'd love to meet him for dinner some time." She told Logan. Logan smiled to himself. That was easy. A little too easy in fact. And that worried Logan a little bit. But Logan decided not to let it bother him and instead he went to go tell Carlos the good news.

MEANWHILE...
Even though he already knew what James did with that girl the previous night, Kendall was determined to make James admit it. But he had absolutely no idea how. Then suddenly a plan came to him. He looked up into the corner of the room and noticed a security camera. He wondered if there might be some sort of video proof of what James did last night. It was a long shot, but James wasn't just going to admit it and Kendall knew that. So Kendall only had to find the security room first. Kendall found the security room with ease, and to make things even weirder the door was unlocked. Kendall snuck in and found himself in front of several hundred small TV screens. Before Kendall even had time to check the screens, he heard someone enter through the door. Kendall had to think fast and he dived underneath a small desk in the hope that whoever entered the room wouldn't see him.

It was a tall guy in a white shirt and black tie wearing a badge reading 'security guard' who had entered the room. It didn't take Kendall long to work out who this person was. Kendall prayed the guard didn't need his desk. The guard stood, staring at the monitors for a few minutes before shrugging, grabbing a set of keys off of the table and walking out again. The moment that security guard left, Kendall slowly crawled out from under the table. He didn't even know where to begin. There must've been hundreds of rooms and he had no idea which one he had found James in this morning. But then Kendall remembered, he, James, Carlos, and Logan had all been staying in room 204. And Kendall had passed about 3 rooms on the way to where he found James. So there were about two options Kendall could pick; room 201, or room 207. So Kendall decided to check both. And he was even more surprised at what he found on the tapes.

MEANWHILE... LATER ON...
Carlos was so excited about the date Logan had set up for him and Jocelyn. He was aware that he was supposed to be spending time with his friends, but he hadn't seen Kendall or James all day and Logan was fine on his own. But still, Carlos didn't want to leave the hotel so he went out to dinner with Jocelyn...in the hotel's restaurant. Jocelyn was fine with it and was waiting for him in the restaurant as soon as she got off of work. Even in the short amount of time since she got off of work, Jocelyn had managed to make herself look even more amazing than usual. Her bright blue hair was usually up, but now it flowed down her shoulders like two streams of water, and she wore a red dress that really complemented her figure, as well as some very modest make up. Carlos walked over to her and sat down at her table. She looked him up and down and then said. "Umm I'm really sorry, but that seat's taken. I'm waiting for someone." She told him. Carlos laughed. "Yeah, you're waiting for me. My friend set me up with you because I was too nervous to do it for myself. Hi! I'm Carlos and you're really pretty!" he said to change the subject so she didn't get embarrassed. Jocelyn just stared at him for a moment before realising what was going on. "Oh he was talking about you? I assumed by 'friend' he meant himself." She told Carlos. Carlos looked at the floor, embarrassed. "I'm just gonna go." He said disappointedly. As he started to walk off, Jocelyn stopped him. "Wait!" she said. Carlos turned around hopefully. "There's still a place if you want it." She hinted. Carlos smiled and raced back to the seat. (Nearly falling off of the chair as sat down.)

MEANWHILE...
Kendall checked both of the tapes. And to his surprise, there was a very similar act going on in each of the rooms. In one room was James and the girl, and in the other room was something even more surprising, Logan and the same girl. (But the one with Logan in it was shot an hour earlier) There was no sound on the tapes, but in each tape, the girl whispered something into the boys' ear, but something different happened in each tape. In James' one, he pushed her away, saying something to her. But she threw her arms around his neck and said something else. Then James shrugged and they kissed. Then the tape cut out for some reason. In Logan's one, she did the same thing, but when Logan pushed her away, she threw her arms around his neck and he pushed her away again, before walking out again. The girl then walked out of the room again. To his annoyance, Kendall still didn't know whether James did anything else with the girl, but he had proof that James cheated on Lucy. And now Kendall wanted to hear Logan's side of the story as well.

LATER ON...
Kendall raced back to the room, bringing a copy of the security tape with him so he had proof, to find James and Logan sat in the room already not talking and looking bored. Kendall looked at the two of them. "James, you lied. I know what you did last night with that girl from the front desk, and I have footage from the security camera to prove it. Are you going to admit to what you did?" Kendall told James, hoping James would believe him and expose the rest of the story. Logan looked really uneasy at the thought of a security tape. He looked at Kendall. "You umm...you're sure it was James on that tape?" he said. Kendall nodded. "There was one for you as well, but you did the right thing." Kendall told Logan. Then Kendall turned to James. "ADMIT IT!" he yelled. James paused for a moment before replying. "Ok fine, I cheated on Lucy. But 1) she cheated on me first and has a kid WITH YOU. And 2) I only kissed Jocelyn. I didn't do anything else. And she disconnected the security camera after that anyway so YOU HAVE NO PROOF!" James had a point there. Kendall made an annoyed noise, and there was a silence after that before Logan realised something. "Wait, Jocelyn? She came onto you too? And now she's out on a date with Carlos?" Logan asked in shock. James and Kendall both nodded. Logan looked from Kendall to James, then back again. "we need to find Jocelyn and she has some explaining to do."
