Chapter 34: Answers

(Before we begin, let's play a little game while we read the story. It's called "Guess what source material I got from?". And for those you figured it out before hand I'd say you win and get a cookie. Ready? Let's begin :).)

Elsa POV

After awhile Jack calmed down. Anna helped me set Jack on the wooden bench, after that I helped Anna get Kristoff on the other wooden bench across from Jack. Anna sat next to Kristoff tending to his wounds, while I sat with Jack. He was sound asleep, he looked so peaceful in sleep as always, His head leaning against my shoulder. I wrapped my arm around him and moved my fingers through his hair. I then leaned my head towards his. I gave him a kiss on the cheek. It wasn't the kiss I wanted, but it was close and I didn't mind, because I love him. His eyes flickered open and moved slowly up.

"E-Elsa…" He whispered.

"How are you feeling?" I smiled at him.

"A little better." He answered. But I could tell he was still hurting. He lifted his head towards Anna and Kristoff. "How are you, Kristoff?" He asked with concern.

"I'll live." Kristoff smiled. Though his wounds still hurt.

"Try to stay still Kristoff." Anna asked. She was worried that his wounds were so severe.

"Sorry." He smiled at her. Anna managed to dry all of Kristoff's wounds. She leaned her body on Kristoff's. I smiled at the two. They seem perfect for each other. But then I turned back to Jack. He still looked sad.

"Jack…" I began. He turned his attention to me. "…who…who's Jamie?" Jack's suddenly went wide-eyed. "I'm sorry!" I panicked. "I was just curious! I didn't mean to-"

"It's okay." Jack sighed. "Suppose I have to explain why?" He paused. Me, Kristoff, and Anna stared at him, waiting. "As you know I was alone and unseen for 300 years. I defeated Pitch and became a Guardian. I finally got believers and be seen. One of those believers was my first believer. His name was Jamie Bennett. He lived in Burgess, Pennsylvania like I did."

"He was your first believer?" I asked.

"Yes." He nods.

"That's wonderful, Jack!" Anna smiled. Kristoff smiled and nods. But I could tell Jack was still sad. Something must have happened.

"But… what happened?" I asked.

"He…" He paused. "He died." He finally said. We were all struck with shock. "He, his family, his friends, their families, ALL of Burgess. They all died in a fire storm." Jack was on the verge of tears and struggling to hold them back.

"Jack… I-I'm sorry." I felt so sorry and sad for him.

"He was only a boy. He was only ten. They were only kids. They didn't deserve to die." Jack finally cracked and cried. I wrapped my arms around him, holding him tightly. Anna and Kristoff had a look of sadness as well, they too felt sorry for Jack.

We all helped Jack back to his home apartment. This was actually the first time I've ever been to his home apartment. We were greeted by Tooth.

"Oh hey everyone!" She chirped. But then she noticed me holding Jack up. She also noticed Kristoff in his condition. "Oh my goodness! What happened!?" She frantically asked.

"Nightmares. They attacked my sister and Kristoff." I briefly explained. "Help me out here, please?"

"Okay! Bring him to the couch!" She frantically went back into the room and cleared the couch. I lead Jack into the room and sat him down on the couch. Then the other Guardians came into the room.

"Oh, we have company." North smiled. "Elsa! Kristoff! It's good to see you!" But then he noticed Kristoff's wounds and Jack in a depressed state. "What the-!? What happened!?"

"Nightmares." Tooth said.

"Nightmares!" Bunny went in shock.

"Yes." I responded. "I'll explain." I offered. North, Bunny, and Sandy took some seats and sat around us. Kristoff and Anna sat next to me and Jack.

"Okay, Elsa. I want you to take your time and tell us what happened." North said.

"Okay." I nod. "Me and Jack were having fun in our date, until Jack sensed the Nightmares. They attacked my sister and Kristoff. We came and stopped them but the evolving Nightmare attacked Jack and manipulated a bad memory of his. He told me what happened." I explained.

"I see." North sighed. "It was a devastating loss to us. Jack most of all. That's why Jack was always sad, distant, and alone." North explained. So that's why Jack was by himself with no one wanting to be friends with him.(Read Chapter 2 to get this reference.)

"Hi! I'm Olaf! I like warm hug!" Oh yeah, I forgot he was still here.

"It's a talking snowman." Bunny stared looking unimpressed.

"Aw, he's so adorable!" Tooth cooed. "Do you like warm hugs?"

"I sure do!" He smiled. The two then shared a big hug. I was rather adorable.

"You know it's strange." I said. "He knows us like we've met before. But we don't know him." I explained. North then jerked his head up to me from listening to that.

"I see." He pondered. "I suppose it's time."

"What is?" I asked feeling confused.

"I'll explain, but first let's get Jack into his room. He's too depressed right now." North instructed.

"I'll do it, mate." Bunny said. He picked up Jack in his arms and took him to his room. "Come on, Jack." Once Bunny left, North turned to Tooth.

"Get Jack and Elsa's Tooth Box. Kritoff and Anna's too." North instructed.

"Are you sure?" Tooth looked worried.

"Yes. I believe it is time." North nodded. Tooth nodded and flew off into her room. North then pulled out his cellphone. "I need your grandfather here, Kristoff. Besides he'll want to know about your wounds."

"Okay." Kristoff nodded. North got up and called Pabbie. He mumbled through the speaker. A moment later he hung up and he then went to his room. A moment later he came out with a snow globe. He whispered something to it then dropped it on the ground making a portal. Walking through it was Pabbie.

"Hello Elsa. Anna." He smiled. We both smiled and waved at him. Then he turned to Kristoff looking worried. "You alright lad?"

"I'll live." He smirked.

"How many times are you gonna use that joke?" Anna looked at him with concern.

"Sorry." He weakly smiled.

"Let me see your wounds, lad." He said.

After awhile Pabbie had Kristoff all cleaned up and bandaged, while Anna explained the whole situation.

"I see." Pabbie pondered. "I'm very proud of you lad." He smiled at Kristoff.

"Thanks." He smiled.

"And it certainly is nice to see you two being official." Pabbie smirked at the two of them. Anna couldn't help but go red.

"Y-You really think so?" She said.

"Well, believe it or not my dear, my family is love experts." Pabbie chuckled. We all got a good chuckle out of this. After we calmed down, Pabbie turned to the Guardians. "Do you have their Tooth Boxes?"

"Yes." Tooth nodded. She lay all four of them in a cross form on the coffee table.

"Okay then." Pabbie nodded. He turns to us. "Now, what I am about to show you are your memories." We were a little surprised by this. But then again we live in a world where mythical creatures exist.

"Our memories?" Anna asked. Pabbie nodded. "But why?" Then Pabbie tuned to me.

"Elsa, let me ask you. Have you've been having any dreams of you in a different life?" He asked. I was shocked that he knew.

"Y-Yes. I do."

"And I've also been told by North that Olaf, the snowman knows who you are."

"Yes." I nod.

"Seeing your memories will answer your questions and solve your problems." He explained. He then turned to the Tooth Boxes and raised his hand above them. "Let's begin." He waved his fingers over the boxes and then the entire room went dark. In fact everything in our surroundings went dark.

"What the!? What's happening!?" Anna asked frantically.

"Stay calm, Anna." North said. "Just watch." We did as he asked us.

Our surroundings changed into the inside of a castle. We all looked around at this strange place. It was unfamiliar yet familiar at the same time.

"Where are we?" Anna asked.

"I-I know this place." I said. "I've seen it in my dreams."

"But this isn't a dream. It's your memories." Tooth said.

"Our memories?" Anna asked confused. "I don't remember this in my memories."

"Watch closely." North said. We found ourselves in a bedroom at night. But what we saw completely took us by surprise and struck us in disbelief. We saw the younger versions of ourselves. Anna and me.

"I-I don't believe it." Anna stammered in shock. "That's us."

"You were right. These are our memories." I said in awe. It was just like 10 years ago.

"Does this mean we're… no, were princesses?" Anna and eye were even more shocked.

"Yes, this is Arendelle." Pabbie explained.

Anna and Me played in the ballroom together. Building Olaf, ice-skating, snowball fights, even Anna climbing on towering snow pillars. I knew what was going to happen next. I accidentally hit Anna on the head and I got scared and called for my parents.

"It's just like what we did 10 years ago." Anna said staring in complete distraught.

"Yeah." Nodded. Is this our life? Were we supposed to relive it over and over? Well thankfully, I guess, I was wrong. Because we saw two people came in running through the door. They must be the king and queen, our parents. But strangely they're not our parents, well not the parents in his life. They're not Kai and Gerda they looked completely different. Hell, my mother looks exactly like me.

"Elsa! What have you done!? This is getting out of hand!"Father said in distraught. From there everything happened. They took us to a forest, where we saw stone rolling around our past selves. They reveal themselves as trolls. Their leader was surprisingly Grand Pabbie. He showed me what would happen if my powers went out of control it could do deadly things. Of course it frightened my past self. But he also said that an act of true love can thaw a frozen heart. What happened next was completely sad. They had to erase my sister's memories.

"I will erase her memories, but I will keep the fun."Pabbie of the past said. Anna felt distraught by all of this and leaned on me.

"That… That's horrible." Anna quivered. I held on to her for comfort. But the next images were even more horrifying. Our parents made the decision to keep us in separate rooms for our protection. Throughout the course of our past lives Anna tried to get me to come out and play but I refused because I was scared. My parents also gave me special gloves to help conceal my powers, but also having me recite a passage; Conceal, Don't Feel. Then things got worse our parents went of a journey on a ship but got caught in a terrible storm and died. It was really sad to see all this but I was determined to see this through to the end. After the 10 year session came my coronation to become queen. Me and Anna finally were able to see each other. But then something shocking caught our eye.

"Hans!?" Me and Anna said in unison. Apparently Hans was in this as well and it came as no surprise that Anna still fell for his charms. We saw the past versions dancing and I have to admit it it was romantic. But what was really shocking was this.

"Will you marry me?" He said with a smile.

"WHAT!?" We all said in unison. And of course Anna said yes.

"Wow, looking at this I feel really awkward." Anna felt embarrassed. Of course my past self refused, which lead to me accidentally revealing my powers. I ran away, marked as a monster, and accidentally causing an eternal winter to befall on Arendelle. Seeing this was frightening and sad. Even Anna looked like she was on the verged of tears.

I even saw myself on the northern mountain, letting it go. Exploring my powers and constructing an ice palace.

Meanwhile Anna and Kristoff managed to find me. She tries to convince me to come home but I refuse. With so much pressure I accidentally freeze Anna's heart. That part really struck a nerve with me, Anna, and Kristoff. We were all scared.

Hans and his men come to try and capture me, or much less kill me. But not without a struggle. But they eventually they capture me.

It comes as no surprise about Hans' betrayal, but his goes way beyond. He wanted to take over the kingdom legally and rival his 12 brothers. It was so devastating to watch even Anna got really mad at this.

"That Bastardly Prick!" She growled. I can't blame her. I managed to escape. So did Anna. My powers then reach their peek and cause a blizzard. Hans found me and told me the biggest lie that would devastate me.

"Anna is dead! Because of you!"My past self was so devastated it caused the blizzard.

"No I'm not, you big liar!" Anna shouted. We knew, but my past self didn't. The came two of the most shocking things we ever seen. One Hans was about to kill me. "Oh no!" Anna squealed in fear. And two Anna sacrificed herself to save me as she turned into a frozen ice statue. We were all devastated in complete sadness and shock.

"I… I died?" Anna stood almost speechless. But after a few moments of our past selves mourning their loss Anna returned to normal.

"You sacrificed yourself for me?"

"Of course I would. I love you."

"An act of true love can thaw a frozen heart!"Olaf stared in realization. It was then I learned how to control my powers and thaw all of Arendelle. It was so heartwarming to us. But the funniest moment of all was this.

"Anna! I thought you heart was frozen!" Hans stared in disbelief.

"The only one who has a frozen heart here is you."Anna punched him. We all laughed at that.

"That was good." Kristoff chuckled.

"I think I do that to him the next time I see him." Anna smirked. We see me being excepted by my people and I officially become queen. But then we see Anna and Kristoff kissing. They both blushed bright red. "I guess its fate."

"Yeah." He smiled down at her. Wrapping his around her. "I certainly love that."

"There's more." Pabbie said. We then found ourselves back where we started in our past childhood. But why? Then we saw it. We saw 'Him.'

"Jack." I stare in disbelief and awe. Jack was there through out my entire past life. Trying to interact with me, because he found my powers fascinating. He was there when I was alone and sad for the past 10 years, trying to comfort me. Every time he tried to touch me he go right through. He looked so sad not being able to help me. Even when I became 18 he still tried but he eventually gave up a flew away. I was literally crying.

"Oh Jack." I cried. "I'm sorry. If only I could have been a believer."

"Elsa." Anna looked at me with a sad look of her own.

But then it shifted to Jack's memories, when he was human. He had a loving family. A mother and sister. He use to play with them all the time and he loved every single moment with them. We see he and his sister going out ice-skating.

"Be careful." Their mother said.

"We will."Jack chuckled as his sister happily pulled on him.

What happened next was suspenseful and scary. Jack's sister was stuck on cracking ice and Jack was trying to calm her down.

"It's okay. Don't look down just look at me."Jack calmly said to his sister.

"Jack, I'm scared."She quivered. The ice began cracking more and more.

"I know." Jack said. Trying to get close but more ice cracked. "But you're be alright. You're not gonna fall in."He reassured her. Uh… we're gonna have a little fun instead."

"No, we're not!"She cried.

"Would I trick you?"

"Yes! You always play tricks!"

"Well…"He nervously chuckled. "Well not this time. I promise. I promise. You're gonna be fine. You have to believe me." She stared into her brother's eyes. "You wanna play a game? We're gonna play hopscotch. Like we play everyday. It's easy as one…" He stepped on the cracking. He then pretended to trip. This made her laugh. "Two…" He took another step. "Three!" He leaned down and picked up a hooked end stick, his signature staff. "Alright. Now it's your turn. One…" He says and she takes a step. "That's it! That's it! Two…" Aiming his staff and she took another. "Three!" He reahed out and pulled her away. We all sighed in relief, me most of all. His sister stared smiling. He stood chuckling but then… he fell in.

"JACK!" Me and her scream in unison. It was heart breaking I was in tears. But then we see the moon shinning down on Jack and turning him into a Guardian. That must be the Man in the Moon.

Then we see Jack awakening with no memory of who he was. He began to explore his powers and explore the world. But things kept on getting sadder. Jack was unable to interact because people didn't believe in him.

Back to our memories of me, Anna, and Kristoff. Taking place seven months later. Anna and Kristoff became married. We saw their wedding.

"K-Kristoff." Anna stared in awe.

"Unbelievable." Kristoff stared in awe too.

"We were married together." She said they looked at each other and developed loving smiles.

I saw my past self in my room reading a child's book. I guess I wanted to feel nostalgic. The book was entitled 'Guardians of Childhood.' It had all of the Guardians from Santa Claus to the Easter Bunny. But one in particular caught my past self's attention. Jack Frost.

"Oh Jack Frost. Your life must be so much easier than mine."My past self sighed. Then her attention was drawn to the frost on the window. She gasped ad drops the book, assuming she's the one doing it. But then lettering is formed.

Hello Elsa.It reads. My past self approaches it.

"Who's there!? Who are you!?" My past self asks frantically.

You know who I am. More writing forms.

"What do you mean?"

The book.More forms. She turns to the book on the floor, still opened to a certain page. She stands there wondering. Then she goes wide-eyed in realization.

"J-Jack Frost?"

"Yes."Said a familiar voice. My past self quickly to see a young man. Snow-white hair, pale skin, and blue eyes.

"Who are you?" She asks calmly.

"Jack Frost."He bowed and smiled.

We saw the progression of our friendship. We would laugh and play together, like children. Then we would tell stories to each other. My past self felt sorry for Jack, having no memory of who he is and not be able to be seen. Eventually, My past self convinced the past Anna and Kristoff about Jack. We all became a somewhat happy family.

Then came the next part I saw in my dreams. I was holding a ball for the anniversary of my family's legacy. I was wearing the red dress and approaching Jack Frost in his uniform. He turned to me with a smile. How can I see him? Then I saw why he was where a Moon Stone necklace. The first one ever made. My past self was in trance by his handsome features. I would do that too.

"My have this dance?" He bowed and held out his hand. He smiled at me. I stared at him with awe. I just slowly reached my hand out and took his.

"Y-Yes."I whispered.

As we entered the center I looked around to see everyone staring at us. I felt so nervous. But then Jack turned to face me with his warm smile. He looks at me with those blue eyes and I feel so comfortable. Then the music started to play(Again listen to Waltz with Adonis for orchestra from Ouran High School Host Club, while reading this.). We took our dancing positions and Jack lead off. We moved so elegantly around the room. It was like flying through the air. We kept our focus on each other and for some reason I felt like we were the only ones in the whole world. Everyone around us seemed invisible and gone while we were the only ones. I knew this feeling already, but I think it's gotten stronger. We just kept on flying and dancing to the music like we were synchronized. When the music came to a stop, we stopped and bowed. The audience roared with applauds; it actually snapped me back to reality. I looked around really embarrassed, but me and Jack bowed to the audience. I then started to realize that I was still holding his hand… and it felt… nice. It's just like dancing at the ice skating rink today.

My past self and Jack walked out into the garden enjoying the moonlit night. Jack then turned to me, looking deep into my eyes.

"Elsa. I'm very happy to have met you."He smiled.

"Me too, Jack."My past self smiles up at him. We had a moment of silence. It felt nice.

"Elsa. I felt something grow with in me the more we spent all our time together."He explained. My past self looked confused. "Elsa I… I love you." He said bluntly and bravely. Both me and my past self went wide-eyed in shock in unison.

"Jack I…"My past self was speechless. Then her expression changed to a warm smile. "… You have no idea how much this means to me. Because I love you too." She jumps a hug on him. The smiled at each other and surprisingly kissed each other. I felt my heart skip a beat after seeing this. Anna and Kristoof were both surprised but happy. But then… Jack starts to glow. Me and my past self were shocked. But then Jack changed from a winter spirit into a human.

"I… I'm human."Jack was shocked by this.

"Jack."She was speechless. But Jack hugged her and laughed in delight.

"I can now live a normal human life… with you." He smiled widely.

"Oh Jack."She smiled back at him and the two kissed each other again.

"Elsa… there's also something else. I want to ask you."He said. He took both of her hands and said what neither me or my past self would ever hear. "Will you marry me." Both me and my past self were in wide eye shock. Both started to shed tears.

"Oh Jack." She sniffed. "Yes." We both said in unison. She lunged and hugged Jack. He placed a ring on her ring figure. She stared at it for a moment then kissed Jack passionately. I felt so happy as the tears rolled down my cheeks. Anna and Kristoff felt happy too.

But this happiness was not to last…

"Well, well, well." We heard a slithering voice. That's when we saw 'Him' for the first time; in the past and in our memories. Pitch Black. "Isn't this a lovely little picture. Too bad I have to ruin it." He smiled manically.

"Elsa, get behind me!" Jack came up to defend me, my past self. But it was no use. Pitch used his darkness to spread fear and chaos throughout Arendelle and throughout the world. It suffocated us, killed us. Me, Anna, and Kristoff watched in horror as we all died, dropping like flies. The last thing we saw was Pitch reveling in his victory. But then the Guardians came and stopped him. Lifting everyone's hearts and giving them hope, with their wonder and light. Mean while everyone else wrote Pitch off as just some bad dream. Then the moon shown and revived Jack. While me and my people were reincarnated.

The images stopped. We were all shaken up by this. Pabbie and the Guardians looked at us with sad, despairing faces.

"We're… we're reborn aren't we?" I struggled to speak.

"Yes, you were." Pabbie nodded. "Me and my people survived thanks to Manny."

"But why?" Anna asked. "Why did the Man in the Moon revive us?"

"Because you all were too young for death." Pabbie explained. "He gave you new lives so that you can relive the old life that was wrongfully taken from you." He turned to me. "You and Jack can still have a future together."

"But, what Dr. Heart said was write. If I kiss him he will turn back into a human." I sighed in grief.

"Yes." North stepped in. "I told Jack about that. But do you know what he chose?" He asked. I felt confused at first. "He chose to you, Elsa." He smiled. I was in shock, but I felt happy. Jack chose me.

"But why is Hans alive?" Anna asked.

"Seems Manny wasn't the only one who can reincarnate a person." North pondered to himself.

"So Hans is working for Pitch!?" Anna asked in shock. Even I was shocked to hear this.

"Yes." North nodded. Sandy was doing some investigating on the Nightmare attacks and just so happened to find traces of black sand in his apartment room.

"That son of a bitch!" Kristoff gritted his teeth. He then turned to Anna. "Mark my words Anna, I'll make him pay ten times!" Anna smiled at him and held his hand.

"WE will." She said.

"Guys!" Bunny came roaring in.

"What is the matter, Bunny?" North asked.

"Jack… he… well uh…" He was stammering.

"What about Jack?" North looked at him with worry.

"He saw the whole thing you guys were showing." He said.

"So?" Tooth said.

"Hang on, I'm not done!" Bunny frantically said. "He… he had this really angry look on his face. Said he was going to Dr. Heart and demanding some answers out of him. I can understand seeing how his memory of his relationship with Elsa was erased." We were all in shock.

"Jack is going to Heart!?" North stared in horror.

"Oh no! We goota stop him before we does something rash!" Tooth said frantically.

"I'll go!" North said. "I have to set things right!" And he was out the door. I felt so sorry for Jack. I can't blame him though. He fell in love with me but never got the chance.

"Oh, Jack. Please come back safely." He prayed.

Jack POV

I knew it! Dr. Heart, The Guardian of Love had something to do with this all along! I was filled with rage and hate as I flew fast to his office. The Emotionnite. He put that stuff in my pills to keep me from living my life! I flew over with such ferocity, as I shouted into the night.

"I'm gonna make you pay!"
