Hey Everyone! I know everyone is probably really made at me for not updating for so long. These past months have been very difficult with all sorts of circumstances and trips. I tend not to leave notes because that just creates false hope so the only time your will receive a notification is if I have updated. I can't express how much I appreciate your love and support for this story. I can't abandon this story because I love it too much and I will finish it even though I'm late at updating it. Here's the next chapter and I hope you enjoy it. :)

Elijah and Katherine had reached New York City about twenty minutes ago. The first thing on their list was to find a witch who could do a locator spell to find Rebekah and Stefan. They walked around Time Square as Elijah went through his contact list.

"Have you found a witch yet? We're been here for so long!" Katherine complained.

"Hold on Katarina, I'm sure I have one here," Elijah said as he tapped his phone to finally make a call. Katherine rolled her eyes. As much as she wanted to come, she also didn't want to come. She wanted to stay behind with the kids. They are the sweetest things that have come into her life after Elijah and it had been so long. Why couldn't he bring Esther with him? He wouldn't be looking for a witch right now.

Elijah's call went through and he was swiftly talking to whoever was on the other side. Katherine walked along the sidewalk further down in her four-inch boots. She was wearing her black leather jacket, glad that it was still in fashion. A car pulled up in front of her and a window rolled down.

"Hey babe, wanna come for a ride?" the man asked. Katherine looked at him and smirked. If only he knew.

"I don't know, you look a little young for my taste," Katherine teased.

"Trust me babe, you won't regret it," the man said.

"You know, I would but I don't think my boyfriend would be okay with it," Katherine said. "Actually, I would prefer a drink…"

"Katarina," Elijah said as he came and stood beside her.

"Excuse us," he said to the man in the car with direct eye contact. The man drove off. Elijah then turned to Katherine. "A woman your age should dress accordingly and behave," he said with a smirk.

"What can I do? No matter how old I am or how I dress," she leaned in and whispered in his ear, "they just can't resist." Katherine smirked and turned away. Suddenly, a hand came around her waist and pulled her back. Elijah rested his chin on her shoulder while he whispered in her ear, "we'll see who needs to resist when we get back home." Katherine drew in a breath, relishing on his warm breath that misted her ear. Elijah let go and started walking. Katherine snapped out of her fantasy and walked behind him.

"So did you find one?" Katherine asked.

"Yes," Elijah said.

"Where?"

"You'll see," Elijah said. Elijah hailed a taxi and they were on their way. Once they were dropped off in a quiet neighbourhood, Katherine followed Elijah as they walked up some stairs to a small house. Elijah gently knocked on the door and they waited. An old lady opened the door. She looked at Elijah and Katherine with frightened eyes and tried to close the door when Elijah stopped her.

"Please, we only ask for a small favour," Elijah said. The woman spoke from the gap in the door and ledge.

"What do you want?" she said.

"Just a simple locator spell," Elijah said. The witch looked at Elijah and then Katherine.

"I will not invite you into my home," she said. Elijah and Katherine nodded. "And you will ask nothing more of me." Elijah and Katherine looked at each other and nodded again.

The witch came out with a map and knife and sat on the covered porch of her house.

"Let's make this quick," she said. Elijah sat in front of her. He gave her his hand. She ran the knife across it and let the blood drip onto the map. The witch closed her eyes and silently chanted. The drops of blood started to move and soon stopped. The witch got up, took her knife, went into her home and closed the door. Katherine picked up the map.

"It shows Park Avenue and East 62nd street," Katherine said as she looked at Elijah.

"I know exactly where that is," Elijah said as he took the map from her. "Come on." Elijah zoomed off quickly followed by Katherine.

Soon they arrived at Park Avenue and East 62nd street.

"Okay, we're here. Now what?" Katherine said. Elijah pointed at the building in front of them.

"This is Rebekah's apartment, room 509. I'm pretty sure her and Stefan will be there. Come and take out your gun," Elijah said.

The both entered the building and swiftly took the stairs up. Once they were on the fifth floor, they could the hybrids. They peeped out the door and found that the hybrids are inside the suite. Elijah reached over and touched Katherine's cheek giving her the vision of that they had to do this quick and by surprise. She then saw her and Elijah quietly standing outside the door. Katherine would kick the door down and shoot the vervain and wolf bane bullets at the hybrids as fast and as many as she could. While they are down, Elijah would pull out their hearts. Katherine nodded.

They quickly followed through with the plan. Katherine knocked the door down taking the hybrids by surprise, who were sitting on the couch watching TV. She shot at them as many as she could until they were unconscious on the ground. Elijah sped to them and yanked out their hearts. He then pulled out a handkerchief from his pocket, shook it open and wiped his hands.

"Where are they?" Katherine said. There was no coffin to be seen anywhere.

"Check the rooms," Elijah said. Katherine went into one room and Elijah went into the other. They both came out distressed. "This can't be. They have to be here. It can't be that these two baboons were guarding nothing," Elijah said as he looked down at the grey bodies of dead hybrids.

"You're right, we have to look again properly," Katherine said as she walked back into the room she walked out of. She looked under the bed, in the bathroom but found nothing.

Elijah in the other room did the same but also found nothing. Katherine walked into the walk-in closet but there was nothing. In rage, she broke all the shelves. She was about to walk out when she noticed something. There was a crack in the wall.

"Elijah," she called and he was standing beside her in no time. He yanked the rest of the wall off and there they saw two bodies lying against each other.

"Rebekah, Stefan," Elijah said as he walked through the hole in the wall. Rebekah's daggered body was lying on Stefan's decaying one. Katherine quickly walked in after him with blood bags she had found in the fridge.

Elijah quickly broke their bonds and took the dagger out of Rebekah. He took a bag of blood from Katherine and poured it into Stefan's mouth. Stefan slowly came back to consciousness.

"Elijah?" Stefan said as he started to get up. He then saw Rebekah's body beside him.

"Rebekah!" Stefan said as he looked down at her.

"Don't worry, she'll awake soon," Elijah said as he passed him another bag of blood which he quickly drowned.

Rebekah awoke with a quick intake of breath.

"Bekah," Elijah said as he gave her a hug. Stefan reached over and held her hand.

"'lijah," she said. "Stefan." Katherine handed a bag of blood to her.

"Drink up," Katherine said. Rebekah quickly took it and finished it.

"Elijah, I'm going to get us a ride back home. And maybe even compel the neighbours that we were watching TV," Katherine said as she zoomed out of the room.

Elijah helped Rebekah and Stefan up and into the front room. He gave them a couple of more blood bags.

Soon Katherine drove in front of the building in a black Cadillac. Stefan and Rebekah got into the back and Elijah got into the front passenger seat. Katherine drove towards the highway to Mystic Falls.

"Where did you find this?" Elijah said. Katherine immediately knew that he was talking about the Cadillac.

"Just borrowed it from a man who was quite happy to hand it over," Katherine smiled. Elijah smirked.

"Elijah," Rebekah said from the back seat.

"Yes," he answered.

"How did you find us?" she asked. Elijah looked at Katherine for a moment, who glanced back at him.

"A locator spell," Elijah said.

"But how did you escape? I saw Mikael dagger you," Rebekah said.

"Katherine," Elijah said. "We were kept in Mystic Falls. Some humans came snooping around when the house was empty."

Rebekah understood the rest.

"What about Caroline and Klaus?" Stefan said.

"They're also on their way to Mystic Falls with Kol and Bonnie," Elijah said.

"Bonnie? Bonnie was supposed to be with Mother, Sheriff and the kids!" Rebekah panicked. Stefan rubbed her back as he tried to calm her down. He also looked at Elijah intently waiting for any news on his kids. Mikael had come to them many times trying to get answers from him about their kids.

"The kids are fine and are with Mother and Sheriff Forbes. They are currently in Mystic Falls because Mikael and Silas decided to take a trip to England," Elijah explained what had happened.

"Katherine and I were in the forest waiting for the hybrid so we can take him by surprise but Aden and Arianna ran into me instead," Elijah said. "I didn't realize who they were until they said 'Uncle Elijah'."

"Wait, what do you mean they ran into you and they said 'Uncle Elijah'?" Rebekah said with an incredulous look on her face.

"Rebekah, Stefan,... it's been seven years," Katherine said. Rebekah gasped. Stefan looked shocked. No one said anything for a moment. Rebekah finally broke into tears.

"I missed seven years of my children's lives!" she cried. "I missed their first step, first birthday and first day of school? Tell me this is a joke! Please!" Rebekah sobbed. Stefan was in his own turmoil. He knew exactly how Rebekah was feeling but didn't know how to express it. He pulled Rebekah closer to him.

"I know it's hard to accept but its true Rebekah," Elijah said calmly. "The kids have grown seven years and they are amazing. You will be proud."

"Yah, they missed you so much that they were willing to do anything to come find you," Katherine said. "And you should listen to how they tell their stories. It's so cute! Apparently, all they have been hearing as bed time stories is about you guys."

Rebekah smiled at bit as she heard more and more about the kids. She couldn't wait to see Nik and Caroline. They had been through the same thing as her and Stefan.

Caroline looked out the window and watched the fields pass by as the car continued its way to Mystic Falls. She could feel Klaus's hand weave through her hair but all she could think about was the fact that she had missed seven years with her children.

"I know it's hard, but are going to see them soon," she heard Klaus's voice.

"I know, but we missed everything," Caroline said.

"I know, and Mikael will pay for every single year," Klaus said."

"We're almost there!" Kol said and they passed a sign for Mystic Falls. Caroline held onto Klaus's hand tightly. They were almost there; within a few hours they would be seeing their little babies.

It was a cool morning and the kids had just stepped out into the backyard. There was a strange excitement buzzing within the household. Grams had a big smile on her face, grandmother had told them to wear their best outfits even Uncle Matt and Aunt Tasha looked thrilled. The kids looked at the average backyard which was quite small compared to their massive acres at their home in Scotland but, it will have to do.

"I think I have understood this American football," Aden said. "Let's get into teams."

"Why can't we play traditional football?" Eliza said. "And what makes you an expert in one day? I've watched American football on the T.V. and I do not want to be pushed to the ground. I've worn my best clothing because grandmother said that there was a surprise today."

"I'm with Eliza. I do not want ruin my outfit for some silly game," Arianna said.

Zane came and put an arm around Aden.

"I say we take a vote," Zane said. Aden smirked.

"That's not fair. Noah is always the tie breaker and he usually takes your side," Arianna said.

"She's right and by the way if we don't play, you two will not have an opposing team," Eliza said as she crossed her arms posing as a mini replica of her mother as her short curls bounced around.

Zane scowled. He hated when Eliza and Arianna backed out of fun games.

"That's quite alright. How about we play traditional football, Zane and me against you three," Aden said. "What do you say, mate?" Arianna smirked.

"Game on but what's the bet?" Arianna said.

"If we win, the next game we play is American football..."Aden said as his eyes glittered with excitement.

"...and if we win, you two do whatever we say," Eliza said.

"Done," Zane said.

Aden and Zane were an unbeatable team most of the time. Them being a bit older, even in minutes, gave them that plus factor. Arianna, Eliza and Noah were going to have to plan and play hard. Eliza had managed to get the ball first and she dribbled the ball across the yard toward the opposite end and the game had begun. The first team to score five goals were to be declared as winners.

Klaus and Caroline looked on as Mystic Falls drew closer. This was the place where they were separated from their kids and this is the place they were going to reunite with them. Caroline tightly held onto Klaus's hand. There was a feeling of such excitement and anticipation that she wanted to get out of the car and run to her kids. She wanted to touch their little faces, kiss their rosy cheeks and hear their voices call her Mom.

Klaus could sense what Caroline was feeling and he felt the same way. He couldn't believe that it had been seven years. It felt like it was just yesterday when he and Caroline were sitting in the nursery feeding them and putting them in their custom made cribs.

Suddenly, a car passed their car and blocked their way. Kol stomped on the brakes. The car stopped about three feet from the car.

"Bloody hell! Who the hell is that?" Kol said. The passenger door opened and Elijah stepped out. "Elijah?" Kol said as everyone got out of the car.

"Niklaus, Kol, it's so good to see you," Elijah said as everyone greeted one another. Caroline and Rebekah looked at each other. Caroline ran over and hugged her. They found the same sadness and grief in each other's eyes of losing seven years of their children's lives.

"Let's not keep the kids waiting," Katherine said and everyone got back into their cars.

Within no time, the two cars had parked right in front of the Donavan household. Everyone quickly got out of the car and headed to the front door. Katherine rung the door bell and waited.

Caroline could hear the kids. She listened to each one trying to decipher who was who. Her insides clenched, she was finally going to see them. Would they recognize her right away?

"What's taking so long?" Kol said tapping his foot.

"Kol, they're not vampires and I'm pretty sure someone will open the door soon," Bonnie said.

A few seconds later, the door was opened by a beautiful lady whom they all knew.

"Tasha?" Rebekah said. "You're alive!" Tasha smiled.

"It's good to have you back Bekah. Sorry, everyone please come," Tasha said. She hugged Rebekah, Caroline and Bonnie. Everyone came into the family room where Esther and Liz were seated along with Matt who was putting his daughter Ella to sleep.

"Caroline!" Liz quickly got up to greet them as they walked in. Esther also greeted her daughter and sons.

"Where are they?" Caroline said. No one needed explaining, these parents had only one wish and that was to see their children.

"Come, they're playing in the back yard," Esther said. The two couples followed Esther to the back door. Kol and Katherine were about to follow when Bonnie blocked their path.

"What are you doing love?" Kol said.

"Let them see their children in private. It's their time," Bonnie said.

"She's right Katarina. Come," Elijah said authoritatively and extended his hand to Katherine who took it and followed him.

Rebekah couldn't wait, they were finally here. She could finally see her two babies. She grasped onto Stefan's hand a little tighter. Stefan leaned in and gave her chaste kiss on her forehead. They were in this together. The two couples stepped out on the back porch and looked out into the yard. They saw an intense soccer game going on. There were two boys on one team and two girls and a boy on the other. One of the boys had her blond hair that was perfectly styled and he had her husband's smile. He charged across the yards towards a girl with long brown-bronze hair. She was wearing a cute pink skirt with a crisp white collared shirt. She was skillfully dribbling the ball trying to dodge her brother. Rebekah couldn't believe her eyes. She was looking right her two babies who were now grown. She could feel the tears streaming down her eyes. She looked up at Stefan who also had tears in his eyes. He smiled at her. They were only steps away from holding their kids in their arms. She quickly stepped down the stairs from the back porch and into the yard. This got the children's attention. They all looked up at them as they stepped in the yard. All was still, as they looked at the kids and kids looked back at them.

"Mommy!" Aden said as he ran towards her with Arianna at his heels.

"Daddy!" Arianna said.

Rebekah and Stefan kneeled down as with their arms open. Aden ran right into his mother's arms and Arianna into her father's. Rebekah clung onto her son taking in his scent and sensing his size in her arms. He had grown so much! She didn't want to ever let go but she wanted to look at his face and her daughter. She looked at his adorable little face. His sparkling green eyes, Stefan's eyes looked back at her. Rebekah looked towards Stefan and saw her beautiful daughter. Her long brown-bronze hair dangled from the side as she clung to her father. Rebekah couldn't help it. She reached over and touched her face.

Stefan took his baby girl into his arms. His fingers weaved through her long hair. It had just felt like yesterday when her short hair was put up into a bow. He looked at his son in his wife's arms. They had grown so much.

Somehow their reunion had turned into a family hug. No one wanted to let go. The children needed it as much as the adults.

Stefan looked at their little family and smiled with relief. They were finally together. His baby girl was in his arms and his son in his wife's arms close by.

Kids POV

The kids heard a few people walk onto the back porch, but the game was too important.

Eliza: Who is that?

Zane: Must be Grams and Grandmother. Focus on the game; you don't want to play American football do you? (She could hear the teasing in his voice).

Noah: Mommy? Daddy? Is this real? Guys look!

All three kids looked up at the grownups walking down the stairs with utmost attention. Was it a dream or were they actually seeing their parents? Excitement surged through them. They didn't know how to react. They just looked at them for a moment to process who they were seeing. Their hearts beat faster and it was confirmed.

xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Caroline walked out on the back porch and looked into the yard. She didn't need telling as to which ones were hers. She spotted them right away. There was a mini her and Klaus on the field and their youngest one with soft, curly, light brown hair who was goal tending. She couldn't believe she was so close to holding her little babies. She looked up at Klaus who also had tears rimming his eyes. She never knew that the big bad hybrid would one day have tears in his eyes. They walked down the porch stairs into the backyard. Their triplets finally saw them. There was a moment of ultimate stillness. No one moved and their kids just looked at them. She could see the feeling mirror in their eyes. It changed from curiosity to surprise to excitement and then just pure love.

"Mommy! Daddy!" all three yelled as they ran right into their arms.

The moment they touched them it felt like she was whole again. That missing piece was placed back into its spot. The feeling of their warm, sun bathed skin and scents gave her a feeling of complete happiness. They were all together again after what had been so long.

Caroline touched each of their faces memorizing every feature. Her Zane had sandy blonde hair, Klaus's nose and smile and her green eyes. His cute little dimples showed as he smiled at her. Eliza had her shoulder length curly blonde hair and she had all of her features but her blue eyes shone like Klaus's. Then the little boy with soft, curly, brown hair which was quite long but not as long as Eliza's; he had green-blue eyes and he was a good mix of her and Klaus. His cute smile also showed his inherited dimples.

Klaus couldn't believe that had his kids were with him. He had never felt such an emotional feeling before. They had looked up at him with such adoration and love in their eyes. He had never seen that kind of pure feeling in anyone for him before. Everyone had usually looked at him with hatred, envy or pity but never what he saw in his kid's eyes. He vowed to never take that away from them. Zane, Eliza and Noah looked at him with pure innocence gleaming in their eyes.

"We missed you so much!" Eliza said.

"We missed you too baby," Caroline said as she took her into her laps, caressed her cheeks and kissed her on her forehead. "And you seem to like your hair long young man," Caroline weaved her fingers through Noah's hair and then tickled his tummy. Noah giggled hysterically. Zane started telling his father about how he had learned to play American football from watching T.V. Caroline couldn't help but smile at their accents. Caroline looked over at Rebekah who was talking to her daughter. She looked up and caught Caroline's eyes. They had a mutual understanding of this precious time.

xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

All of them sat outside on the grass. The kids had so much to tell their parents and the parents wanted to hear everything their kids had to say.

"Mommy, Daddy you have to meet Zane, Eliza and Noah," Arianna said as she got up from her Dad's lap and pulled them towards the Mikaelson family. Arianna and Aden walked up to Caroline and Klaus.

"Hello Aunt Caroline and Uncle Nik, I'm Arianna," Arianna said formally. Caroline and Klaus smiled at how well mannered she was.

"And I'm Aden," Aden said.

"It very nice to meet you Aden and Arianna," Caroline said. "Come here my Kola bear and Care bear," Caroline picked them up into her arms. Klaus then took Arianna into his arms.

Zane, Eliza and Noah greeted Rebekah and Stefan the same way.

"I must say, you all are well-mannered," Rebekah said as she smiled at Noah in her arms. Stefan had picked up Zane and Eliza.

"Yah, I mean what happened to the, hey how's it goin'," Stefan said.

"Uncle Stefan, Grandmother would never approve of that," Noah said and everyone laughed. There was a sound of tummies rumbling.

"I think we're all very hungry," Caroline said.

They all turned towards the back door as it opened. Bonnie stepped out with a huge smile on her face.

"I believe the Supers and the wolves are hungry," she said. "Along with their parents too,"

"You have no idea," Stefan said as they walked up the steps towards the back door, everyone laughed.

xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

The parents and children walked in through the back door.

"Aunt Bea!" the kids called and ran up to her. Bonnie sat right onto the ground as they all crowded around her. Eliza and Arianna sat onto her lap.

"Hey my supers and wolves! How did you like your surprise," Bonnie said.

Caroline and Rebekah looked at each other at Bonnie's pet names. I'll explain later, Bonnie mouthed.

"It's the best surprise ever! Thank-you Aunt Bea!" the chanted. Bonnie smiled wider. She was so happy to see the family reunite.

"Bloody hell! They've grown!" Kol said.

"Kol! Language" Everyone chastened.

"Sorry! Oh my goodness! Come to your favourite Uncle, kids," Kol said. The kids ran up and tackled him down.

"Whooaaaa, this is lovely! My team already knows the basics," Kol said as he tickled Zane and then Aden followed by Noah. Eliza and Arianna tried to run away. "Where are you two darlings going?" Kol caught them and tickled them. Both girls laughed and rolled on the floor.

Eliza went back to Caroline and got into her lap. She then hugged her tightly. Noah followed her as well as Zane. The two boys hugged their Mom from each side since their sister had taken her lap. Caroline reached out for both of her boys and held them. Her three babies were with her and that's all that mattered. Caroline sat crossed legged on the floor, and all three had managed to get onto her lap. It was like they were little babies again. Klaus looked down at her with his three children sitting in her lap. It was quite a scene. He smiled.

xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Arianna and Aden came to Rebekah and sat into her lap. It was strange but a magnificent feeling. Her little babies were in her lap. All the kids seemed to move in the same way. She looked up at Stefan, who smiled at her. He knew exactly what she was feeling and how much she needed this.

Kol watched all the kids go back to their moms. He was disappointed that they all left but he understood. They wanted their parents and they had been waiting for a very long time.

xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

"Come on kids, the food is ready!" Liz called.

"Come on you guys, let's see what's we have for dinner," Caroline said. The three kids reluctantly got up. Klaus came and picked up Eliza as Caroline picked up Noah and Zane.

"Daddy," Eliza said excitedly as she put her arms around his neck.

Rebekah picked up Aden and Arianna and walked into the kitchen followed by Stefan.

All the kids took a seat at the table in between their parents. Caroline sat on one side with Zane, Noah and Eliza and then Klaus. On the other side of the table were Rebekah, Arianna, Aden and Stefan. Liz handed out the food and everyone started to eat.

"Grams, may I have a glass of water," Noah asked.

"Of course sweetie," Liz said as she got him water. The parents observed their children and how they interacted with Liz , Esther and Bonnie. They had raised them all this time. They noticed how they called Esther, Grandmother and Liz, Grams. Bonnie was Aunt Bea. They were grateful to their Mothers and Bonnie for the wonderful manners and values the children had grown up with.

Once they were finished dinner, all the children picked up their plates and put them into the sink. They then came back and pushed in their chairs.

"Okay, time to get ready for bed," Bonnie said. She smiled at Rebekah and Caroline. She didn't want to overstep boundaries now that they were back. Caroline and Rebekah smiled back. They understood where Bonnie was coming and they respected that. It was going to take some time getting used it their routine. They were no longer babies. "Today, your parents can tell you bed time stories."

"Yay!" the cheered and hurried off to get ready.

Caroline and Rebekah walked up to Bonnie.

"Sorry, I know that you guys are here now but it's just a habit," Bonnie said.

"No worries," Caroline said. "We have you three to thank for raising our children so well."

"I completely agree. They are so well mannered," Rebekah said.

"Well, that credit goes to Esther," Bonnie said. "Anyways, you guys better have some good bed time stories because I am seven years tired."

"Sure, what kind of stories do they like?" Rebekah asked.

"Stories about you guys," Bonnie said.

"Oh! What do they know so far," Caroline smiled.

"I'm sure they will tell you," Bonnie said as she left.

"Anything we can help with?" Stefan said as he and Klaus walked over. They had overheard their conversation with Bonnie.

"A bed time story," Caroline said. The four looked at each other. "Apparently, they want to hear about us."

"We can tell them how we met?" Stefan suggested.

"I don't think that would be a great idea," Katherine said from across the room. "Sorry, I couldn't help over hearing."

Klaus grinded his teeth and Stefan crossed his arms as they faced her.

"What do you mean?" Caroline said.

"I mean, the first night Elijah and I found them, they asked for a bed time story about you guys but ended up telling us your story. They practically know it all by heart. Right from the beginning," Katherine said.

"She's right," Elijah said.

"I guess we should just ask them," Rebekah said. Everyone agreed.

xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

The kids got into their sleeping bags which were now laid out on the floor in the family room. Matt and Tasha took Ella to their room and Katherine and Elijah had stepped out onto the back porch. Kol and Bonnie sat with Esther and Liz in the kitchen table discussing something.

"So what kind of bedtime story would you like to hear?" Rebekah asked.

"Any story," Aden said. Rebekah and Caroline looked at each other.

"Any?" Caroline asked.

"Yes," Eliza said and the others agreed. Now that their parents were with them, they didn't seem to mind what story they heard.

"Okay, how about Sleeping Beauty?" Caroline said.

"What's that about?" Zane said.

"Well you have to listen to the story to find out," Rebekah said.

"Does it have a knight in valiant armour and a dragon?" Noah asked.

"Yes it does," Caroline smiled.

The children listened to the story and one by one drifted off to sleep. The parents stayed in the room and watched their children sleep. Once they had all fallen asleep, Caroline got up and sat down beside Klaus. He was doing something the whole time with a piece of paper and she wanted to see.

"What are you doing?" Caroline whispered. Klaus smiled and showed her the picture he had sketched of her and their three children in her lap. She took it and smiled.

"It's so beautiful," Caroline said.

"I beg to differ, love," Klaus said. "The actual scene was much more." Caroline rested her head on his shoulder as they watched their kids.

Rebekah had sat down beside Stefan and intertwined their fingers as they admired their beautiful children.

"What are we going to do now?" Caroline said. Mikael was still out there with Silas and there must be more hybrids.

"We'll figure it out," Klaus said.

Just then Noah sat up.

"What is it baby?" Caroline said.

"I can't sleep," Noah said.

"Come here baby," Caroline said.

He got out of his sleeping bag and climbed in Caroline's lap. He rested his head on her chest and closed his eyes. Caroline wrapped her arms around her youngest baby as he fell asleep in her arms. Klaus watched as Noah fell asleep in Caroline's lap. His curly, soft brown hair which was almost covering his eyes; his cute, innocent face in deep slumber and his small finger wound in Caroline's sweater.

"Is he asleep?" Caroline whispered. Klaus nodded and smiled. Caroline smiled back. Noah would forever remain their little baby.

Just then Bonnie walked into the room.

"We all need to talk, can you please meet us in the kitchen," Bonnie said.

Caroline slowly put Noah back down on his sleeping bag and covered him with a blanket. They walked into the kitchen and saw Esther, Liz, Kol, Tasha, Matt and Bonnie sitting at the table. Elijah and Katherine were hanging nearby the counter space.

"What is it? What was so important that you had to call us away from our children" Klaus said angrily.

"I understand Niklaus however, we have more pressing matters to discuss which involve the safety of your children," Esther said as she directly looked at him. When no one said anything, she continued, "I believe it's now time to do something about Mikael and Silas. They are bound to find out that something is wrong when none of their hybrids pick up their calls."

"I agree, I wouldn't be surprised if he was already on his way here," Bonnie said.

"But how can we prepare better than last time," Tasha said.

She was right. They were prepared last time as well but it still wasn't enough.

"We still need to find Finn and Sage," Elijah said.

"And Damon and Elena," Stefan added.

"Whatever, they can stay in their coffins a little longer. Big deal," Kol said.

"Kol!" Everyone said at once and then they all shushed one another or the kids would wake up.

"I think we need to think about this logically," Caroline said. "Last time we had planned to take them down from one base which was the Salvatore house but that didn't work."

"What are you implying?" Katherine said.

"What I'm trying to say is that we need to separate Mikael from Silas and the hybrids. Take each of them out separately," Caroline said.

"Caroline's right," Klaus said. "If they are together, they are too powerful, especially Silas."

"We know that Silas can only be killed by the hunters. So I think it's time to find our hunters and prepare them for battle. It's their destiny to kill Silas," Caroline said.

"I can do that," Bonnie said as she pulled out the old emblem. None of the stones were crimson which meant that all the hunters were alive.

"We need someone to go and get Finn, Sage, Damon and Elena," Caroline said.

"I guess we could do that," Katherine said as she looked at Elijah who nodded.

"Perfect, now we need the cure ready to go," Caroline said as she looked at Klaus.

"I'll have it here tomorrow morning love," Klaus said as he looked at her. He loved seeing her like this. She was taking leadership and setting responsibilities.

"We just have one more thing, the most important thing; safety of the children," Caroline said.

"I believe Tasha, Bonnie and I can take care of that," Esther said.

"Are you sure Mother? No offense, but it didn't hold much last time," Rebekah said worriedly.

"I understand, but this time we've developed a new strategy Rebekah. Bonnie and I have been working on this for seven years as well as absorbing power of every new moon," Esther said.

"I think they're prepared," Stefan said.

"What do you mean?" Rebekah said.

"I mean if they have been taking in power at every new moon for seven years, they are very powerful. I remember that when Caroline and I had ended up in the past, we talked to Ayana. She said that transporting people through time requires great power which she did not have. So she was absorbing power at every new moon for a full year before she could send us back. If Bonnie and Esther have been doing this for seven years, imagine how much power they have?" Stefan concluded.

"You're right," Caroline said as she looked at Esther and Bonnie. Esther smiled.

"I am happy to see that we are all on the same page. Firstly, I suggest that we move into the Mikaelson house tomorrow. The only people who would be able to come in would be those whom the children invite in. Bonnie and I could set up an intricate magical layer of protection strong enough that it will hold off at least five witch covens," Esther said.

"Okay, then its set. We move into the Mikaelson house tomorrow morning. Bonnie and Kol will go to retrieve the hunters once the protection is intact. Elijah and Katherine can also set out first thing in the morning to find Finn, Sage, Damon and Elena. Rebekah, Stefan, Nik and I will stay and work out a tactic to segregate Silas, Mikael and the remaining hybrids," Caroline said.

"Alright then, let's call it a night then," Kol said as he got up and extended his arm to Bonnie who immediately took it. They walked out into the back yard. Tasha and Matt retired to their room and Esther and Liz left for the guest room.

Elijah and Katherine headed to the front of the house sat on the outside steps. Rebekah took Stefan's hand and they made their way back to the living room where the kids were sleeping. Caroline was about to follow when she felt a hand come around her waist pulling her. She turned around to hit the perfect built of the man she loves. Her arms rested on his chest.

"Nik," she whispered as she looked directly into his eyes.

"Sorry love. I couldn't resist. I love it when you go into that planning mode," Klaus whispered into her ears as he kissed her neck. Caroline closed her eyes and reminisced the feeling of his lips on her neck. It felt good to have that physical touch after so long. Then she slowly opened her eyes and looked at him.

"Come on," she said and took his hand and lead him back to where their kids were sleeping.

"I can't believe how much they have grown," Klaus said.

"I know, I mean what if we do something wrong now that they are back with us. I don't know their routine. What time they wake up, get ready, what time they have dinner and go to sleep? Let alone know their favourite colours and what they like to eat or what they enjoy doing in their free time. It seems like my mom and your mom have raised them with strict rules, which is amazing but I don't know what they are..." Caroline rambled.

"Love, don't worry. We'll learn quickly," Klaus said.

"I agree," Stefan said. "I was just talking to Rebekah about the same thing. We are faster than average parents and I think we'll figure it out together."

Rebekah smiled as she looked at Stefan. How did she get so lucky to have such an amazing husband? She rested her head on his shoulder and watched her darlings sleep.

All the kids woke up the next morning to find their parents asleep on the couch in their sitting positions. They all quietly got out of their sleeping bags and headed toward their parents. Without any warning, they pounced onto their laps waking them up.

Stefan smiled at the kids' little accents rang in his ears. Rebekah giggled as she held them close to her. Stefan looked around to Caroline and Klaus who were also enjoying their kids.

"Okay everyone! Time to get ready! We're on a tight schedule today," Liz said smiling.

"What's happening today, Grams?" Zane asked.

"I'll let your parents tell you that," Liz said and then goes into the kitchen to make breakfast. All the kids looked at their parents with big eyes full of wonder.

"Today, we're all moving into our home," Caroline said.

"You mean that really big house," Eliza asked.

"Yes," Klaus said.

"Yay!" the kids erupted in cheer and then run to the bathroom to brush their teeth.

The energy was high in the house. Everyone had a task and they were all focused to complete them. Klaus had stepped out to retrieve the cure while the kids were getting ready. Caroline and Rebekah closely examined their routine making a mental note as to what each of their children did. Once Klaus had come back with the cure, everyone was ready to leave for the Mikaelson Mansion.

Once they had all arrived at the Mikaelson Mansion, Bonnie, Esther and Tasha went in first to cast the spell. Once they were finished the children went in claiming the house as their own.

"Okay children, please invite everyone in one by one," Esther said. The kids did as they were told. Once everyone was in, Elijah and Katherine said their farewells and left to find Finn, Sage, Damon and Elena. Bonnie and Kol left to find the hunters.

All the kids watched as their Aunts and Uncles went on their journey to do something. They weren't sure of what it was though. They heard something about someone called Mikael something about hybrids but they weren't sure of what was happening. They watched their parents as they sat at the long dining table discussing something with Grandmother and Aunt Tasha through glass doors. They wanted to play outside with their parents but Grandmother said that this was important. Finally, they all came to the kitchen for lunch. Their Moms made the best chicken sandwich ever.

"This was delicious Mum and Aunt Bekah, thank-you" Noah said as he got up.

"I'm glad you liked them hun," Caroline said as she picked him up.

"Mum, could we play outside?" Arianna asked.

"Of course sweetheart. There's no need to ask about that," Rebekah said.

"Can you come and play with us?" Zane said as they all looked at their parents with hopeful eyes.

"I'm afraid that will not be possible at the moment," Esther said. Klaus looked at his mother irritated. They had finally reunited with their children and wanted to spend time with them but here they were spending all their time with her planning. He knew it was important but it broke his heart that he couldn't play with his kids.

"We'll be out in an hour, love," Klaus said without looking at Esther.

The kids brightened up right away.

"Grandmother, could we play outside?" Aden said. Esther looked at him with a mischievous smile.

"There's no need to ask Grandmother as well love, it's just a back yard," Rebekah said.

"Yes Mum, but still," Aden said. He turned back to his Grandmother. "We mean in our usual way."

Esther nodded and walked to the back door to open it. She knew they would ask eventually and she had made sure with Bonnie to do a spell that hides any supernatural occurrences on this property.

Aden smiled as well as everyone else. His smile was contagious. It had been way too long since they had played this way.

All the parents' jaws dropped at what they saw next. Arianna and Aden zoomed past them in superhuman speed into the back yard. Rebekah and Stefan looked at each other. Now the name Supers made sense. Eliza ran after them in normal speed however, a blonde pup landed softly on the green grass. She was followed by her brother Zane and Noah who transformed elegantly into a light grey and a bright white pup, respectively.

The parents saw scraps of clothing fly in all directions. Klaus and Caroline looked at one another; they just couldn't believe their eyes. Their children had just transformed into wolves.
