HIII sorry I have been away a lot has happened...too much has happened. So on with the story?

Chapter 9

Some maids came into Van's room with Merle, they shooed van out as he was dressed and ready to go about the day. Merle made me strip and wash, before prepping me for the day; she and the maids put me into a corset and then had me wear a lovely sky blue dress that stopped at my ankles. They then brushed my hair, which I had grown out.

"Your hair is so long Hitomi."

"It is? Well yours is pretty long too." Now if only it wasn't caused by those baka doctors. I let out a sigh because I knew that no matter how I thought about it, I looked like Hitomi and sounded like her but I could never be her anymore. I was no longer fully human and that was something I had to live with; I closed my eyes thinking about the last time I was here. Even though it pained me to go home I knew at that time that people at home still loved and cared for me and I couldn't leave them behind; but as I was thinking and Merle was doing my hair, memories that I didn't want to remember came flooding in.

The room was dark and cold; the cement floor was the only thing I had for a bed and the clothes on my back was all I had for a blanket. I had my back to wall at the back of the small room with one leg up, I was sitting cross legged, the heavy still steel door opened and men who were my so-called doctors and some soldiers came, put a cloth bag over my head and dragged me out of the room.

I was never allowed to see the hallways and I was never allowed to go outside I was only ever allowed to see my room, the lab and the training room. This time I was brought to a room I wasn't allowed to see but I was always placed in a chair with metal straps across my waist, my wrists, my ankles, and my neck. I came to know this chair it was for 'punishment' because I spat in a doctor's face and refused to do what I was told.

And it came the electricity that flowed through the chair and into my body and following that was the blows that left me in no state to even sit, but even with those punishments I was then forced into a tube where it filled with a liquid that couldn't kill me but cause someone to experience such a event.

"Hitomi?" Merle's concerned voice pulled me out of my thoughts.

"Yes Merle."

"Are you alright? Do you feel any pain?" Merle was unaware that the second question was a taboo for me. I became that nasty creature the military created.

-Merles POV-

Hitomi no longer looked like Hitomi, she became scary and expressionless. She had this aura to her that seemed like death, like there was no light. I became really scared but her reply was even worse.

"I don't know what you're talking about. I don't feel any of it."

I quickly got one of the maids to get Lord Van, then tried to understand what she was saying but putting the pieces together was not a simply task. Hitomi then suddenly stood up, right when Lord Van entered.

"Lord Van, Hitomi she just." Lord Van went over to her he seemed angry, but at the same time worried. Van pulled Hitomi into a hug and I notice she just stood there emotionless; it was like she was a statue.

"Hitomi, I'm here. What's wrong? Why are you like this? Hitomi." Lord Van pulled his head away enough to look her in the eyes. "Hitomi, please wake up from whatever it is you're seeing." I couldn't see Hitomi anymore and I decided that I should leave the room, trusting Lord Van with her. When I entered the hall a guard came running up.

"I most speak with Lord Van."

"He is busy at the moment tell me."

"Those men that were brought here yesterday have disappeared." I got a really bad feeling about this and that those men had something to do with Hitomi being a doll. I sent the guard away and looked at Van's door; I then took my leave and went to see Allen.

-Van's POV-

I heard Merle leave but I never took my eyes off Hitomi. I was seething with rage but at the moment I just wanted my Hitomi back so I held her tight and kissed her trying to pull her back to me.

Please Hitmoi come back, please I can't lose you again.

XD I wanted to keep writing but I'll save the rest for the next chapter, I'm hoping to get to the fun part of the story soon, keep it real guys and I hope you enjoyed the story.
