Chapter 39: Fight or Stand Together
Jack POV
I sat on the top of that mountain, still crying. Elsa was in trouble, WE we're in trouble, the whole world was in trouble, and I didn't know what to do about it. I tried so many times to have the wind take me to Manhattan, but it was no use. I felt completely powerless.
"Elsa…" I sobbed.
"Jack!" Said a familiar faint voice. I didn't pay attention at first, but I recognized that voice. I turn slowly to see it's Aladdin… flying!?
"A-Aladdin?" He then jumped off his… carpet?
"I thought you were gone. So I rode on my magic flying carpet." He gestured the to the carpet. He then turned back to me. He could see I didn't get very far and that I felt alone. He then sat next to me. "I know what you're going through. Being alone. I used to be that way all my life."
"I know. But have you ever been alone for 300 years?" I ask with anguish. Aladdin stared at me with shock.
"N-No… I guess not." He sighed. We we're both silent for a few moments. "So…" He broke the silence. "Wanna head back?"
"How can I? Why should I?" I asked. "They won't listen to me. They're probably bickering about what should be done about the humans. Hell I bet they're getting ready to fight and kill any human they lay eyes on." I said with tears still rolling down my cheeks.
"Actually you'd be surprised on what was going on back at the pole." Aladdin said. I raise my head and turn to him.
"What do you mean?" I ask.
"After your little outburst back at the pole everyone was completely speechless and scared." Aladdin began.
"Well that's obvious." I said still feeling sad and alone.
"They all saw the pain you were going through. The sadness. The anger. The hate. The rage." Aladdin continued. "Everyone felt sad and terrible. The way you explained your position. The way you compared all of us to the conflicting war between man and creatures that's now happening in the world." Aladdin explained. I stared at him once again. "Guilt instantly fell on them. I decided to go after you after that." I didn't know what to feel just now. Surprised or sadder still. "So… what are you gonna do?"
"What do you mean 'do'? I want to save Elsa. I want save all of us from this."
"Well then…" Aladdin smiled as he stood up. "…let's head back and work on a battle strategy." I stare at him for a moment but then weakly smiled and nodded.
"Okay." I said calmly and stood up. Aladdin jumped on his flying carpet and I was able to fly with the wind as we both heading back to the pole.
We both landed back at Santa's Workshop. I saw everyone looking glum and quiet. The instant I came in the workshop everyone's attention fell onto me. They looked like they wanted to say something sincere or apologetic, but looked hesitant to do so. I then noticed North walking out through the crowd. He walked towards me with a sad sorry look. We both were quiet.
"I'm back." I shrug and weakly smile.
"Welcome back." He smiled sincerely. He then leaned down and hugged me. I couldn't help but hug back. It felt nice knowing that I still had friends who cared about me like a family.
"I'm sorry for running off like that. I want to save us all and Elsa. But the wind stopped." I explain almost on the verge of tears again.
"It's alright, my boy." North said sincerely. "We should be the ones apologizing." I can tell from everyone's looks. He brought me into another warm hug. Then the other guardians came walking over too.
"You alright, mate?" Bunny asked sincerely smirking. He placed a hand on my back.
"Yeah." I murmured and nodded.
"Oh sweaty." Tooth murmured as she motherly hugged me. Sandy gave a sincere smile to me and thumbs up.
"I'm sorry guys." I said feeling a little guilty.
"As long as you are okay." North said. I nodded. I then saw Kristoff, Anna, Olaf and the Arendelles walking over too. I turn to look at them. They all had sincere looks. I approached them.
"I'm going to save us all and I'm going to Elsa." I said to them straight in the eye. They all smiled at me.
"Then let's save my sister together." Anna stepped forward.
"Anna!" Gerda stared wide-eyed in shock. "No!"
"Absolutely not!" Kai sternly said.
"Mom, Dad! I need to save her! I can't just sit here and do nothing!" Anna argued.
"It's too dangerous!" Gerda frantically said.
"I'm going and that's that!"
"Young lady, we forbid you to go!" Kai argued.
"I have my friends the guardians with me. Besides, it'll be no doubt that Hans will be there. I owe him a good punch in the face." Anna said as she raised her fist.
"But…"
"Mr. and Mrs. Arendelle." Kristoff stepped forward. "I'll go with her and protect her." Kristoff said with sincere determination. The two looked in his eyes and saw it too.
"Vey well then." Kai nodded.
"Dear!" Gerda turned to Kai, appalled.
"I trust him." Kai said. "I know he'll keep our daughter safe. Just like I have no doubt that Jack here will save our daughter Elsa." Gerda then looked into our eyes and saw our sincere determination. She then approached us.
"Please." She begged. "Save our Elsa." She said with tears.
"We will." I nodded. I then see Eric and Ariel approaching.
"So…" Eric began. "What's the plan?"
"First we need to let the world now that WE don't mean any harm. Then we take the fight to Pitch." I explained.
"But how do we do that?" The Beast asked. "They certainly won't listen to reason."
"Me and the guardians can handle that." I answered. "But the question is, how?" I pondered.
"Hey everybody?" Hercules called out. "I think you might wanna see this!" We all walked over to the TV screen where the president was about to make another statement. But by the look in his face it looked like it was grim one.
"Citizens of the world, this is the president." He began. "As all of you saw during the live broadcast, the entirety of the UN Defense Force was wiped out earlier today by the creature known as Pitch. The fault is ours and ours alone." Well at least they have the good dignity to admit it. "To those they leave behind we are sorry. I'm sorry. Sending them out was our best chance of survival. The stark truth is there is nothing more we could do. But please dear people do not lose heart! Perhaps a hero will save us from certain doom. All we have now is hope." He sighed in despair.
"If that's all we got, I'm sorry we don't have much." Hercules stared in sadness.
"Wait a minute!" I step up. "This is currently being broadcasting live to the entire planet, from Washington D.C." I then turn to North. "North! Get a snow globe!"
"I'm way ahead of you!" North chuckled. He grabs his things and takes a snow globe.
"Only we will be going to the Washington D.C. Everyone else will stay here on stand by in case of any problems." I issued them.
"Got it!" Aladdin nodded. I then turn to North.
"Do it." I said.
"Right." He nodded. "Washington D.C." He whispered to the snow globe and threw it. Open up a portal to Washington D.C.
"Let's go." I said. We, the Big Five, walked through that portal to let the world know that WE mean no harm.
We walkthrough the portal and make it to the United States Congress building. As it would come as no surprise, everyone who saw what happened were pretty much blown away by all of this. The congressmen, the republicans, the democrats, the president, and the public viewing this on their TV.
"Who are you!? What do want!?" The president asked frantically. Before I could say anything, security and military set their guns on us.
"Saw this one coming." I murmured.
"I don't suppose you thought of something before we came here?" Bunny asked.
"Nope." I said simply.
"I thought so." Bunny sighed.
"I'll handle this." I said. I stepped forward slowly.
"Stay where you are! Don't you dare come any closer!" The president snarled. "My men are prepared to fire on our orders!" I kept slowly walking to him with a calm face on. "I'm warning you!" He said. I then levitated and flew on the stage. Everyone was frantic and scared.
"I'm not here to hurt or scare anyone." I said calmly. "As hard to believe as this sounds, my name is Jack Frost." I bow in respect. Everyone then made a confused face.
"Well… what do you want?" The president asked frantically.
"I want to help. That's all." I simply said.
"To help?"
"He lies, Mr. President!" Shouted a familiar voice. "Monsters like him only want to use or kill us to their own means!" I turn and almost go wide-eyed in shock.
"Weaseltown? Is that you?" I said with a confusing look.
"What!? H-How do you know who I am!?" He stutters. "And it's Weselton!" I couldn't help but laugh.
"Oh my goodness it is you!" I chuckle. "Hard to believe or imagine that professor Duke Weselton became a congressman."
"How do you know!?" He demanded. "Are you a spy for Pitch!? He's a spy for Pitch!" He frantically yelled. "What are you fools waiting for kill them!" The men were about to open fire when…
"Stop!" Bellowed North. "You should not fire in a building with innocent bystanders! What if you accidentally kill them!?"
"And why do YOU care, monster!?"
"Stop!" The president said. "He's right. There are innocent people in this building."
"We are at war, Mr. President! Collateral damage is inevitable!" Weselton argued.
"True. But the question is why DO they care?"
"I'll explain Mr. President." I said. "But first a quick question."
"Yes?"
"Those cameras are still on, right?"
"At the moment, yes. What are you getting at."
"I just want to let the world know about our kind and who we are." I explain.
"PAH! That's pointless! We already know what you are!" Weselton scoffed. "You are all monsters! Savage, bloodthirsty, manipulative, seducing, killers! Devoid of any feelings!"
"You know it's funny. I know a certain merman who said the exact same thing about you humans." I said to him. Everyone was a little surprised by that. "It's only natural that you would judge anything or anyone that is not human and deem them a threat. But have you ever read the X-Men comics before? I mean, I know it may seem childish and yes I do read comics. But situation we are in right now is happening just like in the X-Men comics." I explain. Everyone stared in awe then started to discuss about my explanation. Even the president.
"Alright then." The president nodded. "Let us hear what you have to say."
"You can't be serious!?" Weselton said appalled.
"What he says does have truth in it. Let's have the whole world hear what you have to say. I'll take full responsibility." He said. I smile and nod.
"Thank you, Mr. President." I then turn to the other congressmen, facing the cameras. I cleared my throat and began. "My name is Jack Frost. A Guardian. I'm the Guardian of Fun. Those of you who know who I am are probably my believers. And as you can see I'm also with Nicholas St. North also known as Santa Claus. He is the Guardian on Wonder." North bows in respect.
"Hello everyone." He spoke in his Russian accent.
"E. Aster Bunnymund. The Easter Bunny obviously. He is the Guardian of Hope."
"Good day to you mates." He said in his Australian accent.
"Toothina. The Tooth Fairy. Guardian of Memories."
"Hi everybody." She said in her cheery voice. A little awkward though.
"And finally Sanderson Mansnoozie. The Sandman. Guardian of Dreams." Sandy waved innocently. "Oh by the way, he's a mute."
"Painfully obvious." Muttered Bunny.
"We are the Guardians of Childhood. We watch over and protect the children of the world. Giving them the wonders of hopes and dreams through fun, giving them memories of their childhood." I started to explain. "Our enemy is, believe it or not, it none other than Pitch Black the Bogeyman." Instantly everyone started murmuring about that answer. I could already tell that it WAS hard to believe. "As you all witnessed, Pitch Black has become more powerful. Powerful enough to destroy us all if he wanted. He has the power to do so. To him this is all nothing but a game. He and his legion of Fearlings and Nightmares feed on fear. In other words your fear gives him power." Then they continue with the mumbling. "And I tell you this OUR kind has no intention on conquering all of humanity. What good can come out of that? I ask you."
"Isn't it obvious?" Weselton said. "Because you view us as inferior and view yourself as superior!"
"We? Or do you mean you?" I joked. There were a few chuckles in the background.
"He does have a point." The president said to Weselton.
"Thank you." I nodded. "The only one who WOULD do something like that is Pitch. And he's already accomplished that goal in a way. But this is what he also wants. Pitch wants us all to destroy ourselves just so he can fully take over!" I explained. "But me and my team are not gonna let that happen!"
"And how can we trust you?" Weselton spoke again.
"You don't." I simply answered. "But we are the only thing that can stop Pitch! Unless you plan on making the Sentinels from the X-Men come to life, which you don't, we are your only hope to stopping this war before it begins or escalates even further! Because we stand here today not as creatures, but as Guardians! We protect humanity from Pitch and his legion! So you can continue to fight arrogantly or we can stand to together as a unity and take back our planet!" I bellowed the last part. Everyone in the building was stunned in wide-eyed awe.
Normal POV
All around the world people were watching Jack Frost's speech. Little by little, they began to see the seriousness, the conviction, the determination, and sincere words of Jack Frost's speech. Kids instantly recognized the Guardians, but as for the adults they were blown away by the actual existence of the holiday icons of folklore. Suddenly regret fell on all of them. They started to realize that Jack was right. This is something that happens in the X-Men comics and humanity was re-enacting it. Instantly the whole world started a gossip and cheer. They cheered loudly for the Guardians.
Everyone back at the pole were surprised and then happy that the Guardians convinced humanity that THEY didn't mean any harm to them. They cheered in relief for the Guardians. Ariel and Eric hugged and kissed passionately. Hugs and kisses were all around.
Jack POV
Suddenly telephones were ringing like crazy. They were calls of citizens and governments from around the world. The congressmen were answering them all like crazy and sweating bullets.
"Sir! The governments and citizens caught the live broadcast! They're giving THIS a go ahead!"
"People are demanding the release of all captured creatures and letting them return to their homes!"
Every single one of us were in total awe. However me and the other guardians were also very glad. The president then turned to me in awe but also impressed.
"We seemed to have underestimated and misjudged you and your kind." He said. "Give the order to release the creatures!"
"Yes, sir!" Everyone was impressed and blown away by my speech that they all started cheering too. Well… all except Weaseltown.
"You can't serious!?" He yelled. "This is an outrage! They'll kill us all!"
"Oh by the way." I turned to him. "To answer your first quest, it's me Jackson Overland."
"Wait what?" He said looking and examining me. Then he went wide-eyed in shock. "Y-You! Jackson!? My student!?" He fell to the floor staring at me n shock. All I did was laugh.
Normal POV
However this didn't go unnoticed to a certain dark one and his dark organization, as they watched the live broadcast announcement. They were all outraged by this.
"Those meddlesome fools!" Jafar snarled.
"No doubt they'll stand in our way!" Ursula added.
"Even though they're no match for us, I don't think we should be taking any chances." Drago glared.
"Agreed!" Hans spoke up. "Let us send in our troops and finish them all of once and for all!"
"That won't be necessary." Pitch spoke up. He surprisingly wasn't outraged by this at all.
"What!?" Hans said shocked. "But my lord, they only hinder our plans!"
"Let them come." Pitch smirked. "Like moths to flame." He simply said.
"Oh, I see what you're getting at." Hades smirked. "And I like it!"
"So you're saying that when they come to fight us again, the result will still be the same?" Ursula asked. "That doesn't sound too bad." She smirked at the thought.
"Bringing them all together and killing them all in one stroke." Jafar put together. "Now that sounds like a plan."
"Exactly." Pitch smirked. "They will no doubt come to stop us and our plans. But trust me when I say they will never leave."
Chapter 39 is done. And so it's begun! The war against Pitch continues! Read it, review it, and tell me what you people think. This is just here for people to enjoy. :)
