Chapter 40: The Next Move

Jack POV

The live broadcast was a complete success. I shook hands with the president and the rest of the UN Representatives. In fact the rest of the Guardians did. I shaking hands with your childhood holiday icons was a real honor for them. The cameras were still broadcasting so they didn't get the word to stop broadcasting and turn the cameras off.

"Okay, before we depart. I need to tell you about the Nightmares." I spoke up.

"Nightmares? So that's what they're called?" The president asked.

"Yes." I nodded. "They are manifestations of bad dreams. They literally sense and smell our fear." I explained. "However what can overcome them, which would result in them being destroyed or revert back into sweet dreams, is courage. However courage itself can only weaken them. It'll be up to our physical strength to deal with the rest." I explained. The president pondered.

"That would explain why Pitch went to face the soldiers himself. Because he knew their bravery would weaken his Nightmares. So that's why he knew he would not be hindered by their bravery and therefore struck fear into them before he killed them." The president pieced it together.

"Exactly. Which is why me and my kind will be fighting him." I said.

"And just to help you trust us…" North said walking over to the president. "… I asked one of the camera crew to barrow one of their cameras and make this." He presented us a hand sized metal ball.

"What is it?" The president asked.

"It's a type of mini mobile live broadcasting camera." North answered. "It comes as a metal orb that can be carried. Or…" He tosses it and it starts hovering in the air with mini helicopter blades carrying it. "…can fly." We all stare in awe.

"Wow. That's amazing." I said.

"It is." North chuckled. "This is connected to every television in the world, including yours. This will allow you and everyone to keep an eye on us."

"Seems reasonable enough." The president nodded. "And very impressive."

"Thank you, Mr. President." North smiled.

"Alright. Let's head back to the pole and tell every enabled fighter to join us." I instructed. "We leave within the hour."

"Aye mate." Bunny nodded. North nodded too as he pulled out a snow globe and whispered the name of the North Pole. He threw it and opened a portal. I turn to the president.

"We'll put an end to this. I promise."

"Can you do it?" He asked.

"We will." I nodded. He nodded back. I then went through the portal back to the North Pole.

We went through the portal back to the North Pole to everyone applauding for us. They all came to us shaking hands and patting backs. This was a happy moment that would love be in forever. But I knew this could last. We all knew what we had to do.

"I don't mean to crash our happy moment." I said with a frown on my face. "But we all must prepare for the REAL war." I looked around at everyone. "So all those who are willing to fight along side us and our new human allies, please make preparations. We leave within the our." I explained.

"I'll come too." Said a familiar Italian voice. It was Heart coming forward with a determined yet a shamed looking face. "Pitch was using me from the shadows and I didn't realize it. I thought I was against Pitch when really he was using me. It's partially my fault all of this happened. I want to make up to you and everyone. Please, let me fight along side you." I was skeptical at first, but then North approached him.

"Of course." He nodded. "We need all the help we can get."

"Agreed." I nodded. "Like I said before, make preparations. We leave within the hour." Then I walked of out side just to get some air.

Normal POV

Everyone wasted no time in preparing for what was to come. Hiccup was getting Toothless ready. Fitting him with gear and armor for the up coming fight.

"You okay buddy?" He weakly smiled at him. Toothless grunted a little and made brave yet puppy-looking eyes. "Yeah I know. I'm a little nervous myself."

"Hiccup!" Called Astrid as she approached him with 4 others. "I thought you might want some help." She then introduced them. "This is Fishlegs."

"If you're planning on getting killed, I'd definitely go with the suicidal." He smiled.

"Tuffnut."

"You were wise to seek help from the world's most deadly weapon." Tuffnut steps forward with a scowl.

"Huh?" Hiccup said all confused.

"It's me." He gestured.

"Oh."

"Of course you already know Snotlout." Astrid continued.

"I love this plan." He smiled excitingly.

"I didn't." Hiccup muttered.

"And finally, Tuffnut's twin sister, Ruffnut." She continued.

"You're crazy." She commented. Then she went sultry. "I like crazy." She whispered. Astrid pulled her away from her boyfriend and smiled.

"So? What is the plan?" She asked Hiccup smiles, glowing in the support of his friends.

"Well…" Said a familiar voice. Hiccup, Astrid, and their friends turned to see Stoick walking up to them, smiling. "… I believe the plan is to bring an army."

"Dad." Hiccup smiled as we walked up to him and the two hugged each other.

"I've got a surprise for you lot." He said to the others. He then gestured outside to see a legion of dragons.

"Whoa!" Astrid said in awe. Then they saw a masked warrior standing on the leading dragon.

"Mom!" Hiccup waved. The masked women waved back.

"That's your mother!?" Astrid asked in awe.

"Well now you know where I get my dramatic flair." Hiccup smiled.

Else where Aladdin was talking to Genie.

"Hey Genie?" He askd.

"Yeah, Al?" Genie. "Can I call you Al? I like Al. Al has a good tune to it. Can I call you Al?" He said very quickly and excitingly.

"You can call me whatever you want." Aladdin chuckled.

"Okay then." Genie smiled.

"Anyway I was wondering. What would you wish for?" Aladdin asked.

"Me? No one's ever asked me that before. Well, in my case, ah, forget it." Genie said.

"What? Come on, tell me." Aladdin insisted. Genie took a deep breath.

"Freedom." Genie simply said.

"You're a prisoner?" Aladdin asked with concern.

"It's all part-and-parcel, the whole genie gig." He explains. He suddenly grows gigantic and heads skyward in space. "Phenomenal cosmic powers!" His voice echoes and booms as he displays his godlike abilities. But then he shrinks down, cramped in the magic lamp. "Itty bitty living space." His voice squeaked like a midget.

"Genie, that's terrible." Aladdin said with sadness.

"But, oh, to be free." He says coming out of the lamp. "Not have to go "Poof! What do you need? Poof! What do you need? Poof! What do you need?" To be my own master, such a thing would be greater than all the magic and all the treasures in the entire world! But what am I talking about, here? Let's get real here. It's not gonna happen. Genie, wake up and smell the hummus."

"Why not?" Aladdin asks.

"The only way I get outta this is if my master wishes me out. So you can guess how often that's happened." Genie explains. " But enough about that. Let's make some magic!" Genie boogie danced. Then Aladdin got an idea.

"Genie, I wish for your freedom." Aladdin stated.

"I-what?" Genie jerked his head to Aladdin in awe.

"Genie, you're free!" He says as he holds the lamp up to Genie. A transformation ensues, in which the shackles fall off Genie's wrist and the lamp falls uselessly to the ground. Genie picks it up and looks at it.

"Heh, heh! I'm free. I'm free." He says to himself. He can't believe it. "Quick, quick, wish for something outrageous." He hands the lamp to Aladdin. "Say, "I want the Nile." Wish for the Nile. Try that!" He urged.

"I wish for the Nile." Aladdin quickly says.

"No way!" He shouts He then laughs hysterically. He bounces around the balcony like a pinball. "Oh does that feel good! I'm free! I'm free at last!" They hug. Then he sees Jasmine and Sultan walking in. She looked a little happy and little sad.

"Jasmine." He said, staring at her. Jasmine instantly ran to him and hugged him. "Jasmine I-." But his words were cut off by Jasmine kissing him. The two were then melted in that passionate moment. Sultan looks at the pair with interest.

"Can it be true? My daughter has finally chosen a suitor?" He wondered. "Ha ha! You brilliant boy." He walks over to them. "You've certainly proven your worth as far as I'm concerned. Yes, a fine upstanding youth like yourself, a person of your unimpeachable moral character is exactly what my daughter needs! It's that law that's the problem." He explains.

"Father?" Jasmine asked.

"From this day forth, my daughter shall marry whomever she deems worthy." He announces proudly. She smiles widely and runs into Aladdin's arms.

"Him! I choose...I choose you, Aladdin." She smiles up at him. Aladdin smiled back down at her. They both then kiss each other passionately and melted in their heartwarming moment Abu, Sultan, and Genie all smiled at the pair.

Else where. Belle was with Adam, in his beast form. They have adjourned to the balcony under a starry night.

"Belle? Are you happy here with me?" Adam asked meekly. She looks at him with a sincere smile.

"Yes." She nods. But then she looks off into the distance.

"What is it?" He asked out of concern. She looks at him desperately.

"If only I could see my father again, just for a moment. I miss him so much." Belle said feeling sad. Adam looked disappointed for a moment, then excited.

"There is a way." He said. He then reaches into his pocket and takes out a mirror. "This mirror will show you anything, anything you wish to see." He explains, handing Belle the Magic Mirror.

"I'd like to see my father, please." She asks hesitantly. The Magic Mirror shines into life, and Belle turns her head away as it flashes. Then it reveals Maurice, Belle's father at a special shelter for the evacuees. Belle sighs in relief while also shedding tears. "Dad." She murmurs. "He's oaky. He's at the shelter." The two look at each other, smiling. "Thank you Adam." She smiles sincerely.

"For you anything." He smiles. Then he hears everyone leaving. "I have to go."

"What!?" Belle whispered loudly. "No! You can't!"

"I have to." He said.

"No! Please!" She begged. "If you go, w-who's gonna give you lessons?" She stammered. Adam only smiled.

"I have to. To protect you." He said sincerely. Belle's eyes went wide, in surprise. She urged herself to try and convince him to try and stay. But other senses convinced her otherwise.

"Then… you better come back." Belle said.

"I will." Adam said. "And when I do, I actually have something important to tell you."

"T-Then… I will look forward to it." She forced a weak smile on her face. She was bout to the Magic Mirror back to Adam, but he refused.

"Take it with you, so you'll always have a way to look back, and remember me by." He says. Belle couldn't hold back her tears any longer as she charged into his arms. He held her close to him as she cried on his chest.

Jack POV

I stood outside on the snowy field looking out into the northern lights waving slowly in the night sky. I thought about Elsa, I though about my past, I thought about everyone. Saving the world has certainly escalated to a whole new level. It was certainly putting me on edge. But thinking about the wonderful memories of Elsa and me certainly was calming me down. All the happy and heart warming moments were able to put a smile on my face. I think I stayed outside for long enough. It's almost an hour anyway.

I return inside to see North overseeing everyone finishing up their preparations.

"Everything go well?" I ask him.

"Yes." He nodded. "We're almost done."

"Good." I nod. He then looks at me, while I was overseeing everyone.

"You okay, lad?"

"I'll be okay." I answered. "I was thinking about the wonderful times me and Elsa had together. Even our past lives."

"You know…" He began. "… You, Elsa and her friends were not the only one reincarnated."

"What?" I jerk my attention to North. He only smiled.

"Every single person in this room was also reincarnated. They all lost their lives to Pitch's darkness back in the dark ages. Manny wanted to give them another chance. Just like he wanted you and Elsa to have another chance." He explained sincerely. I felt touched by his words and Manny's act of good will.

"Thank you North." I smiled.

"No. Thank you lad."

After awhile all enabled fighters had all gathered around us. I looked at each and every one of them. I could tell they were ready.

"Are we all ready? Are all the preparations complete?" I asked them. They all nodded in unison. "Good. Cause once we step through the portal to the ghost town Manhattan, they're will be no turning back. What we do will determine not only victory or defeat, but the fate of our world." I explained. "Am I understood?"

"We're with you all the way, Jack!" Anna shouted cheerfully.

"Yeah!" Everyone cheered in unison. I felt proud.

"Okay then." I nodded. I then turned to North. "Do it."

"Right." He nodded in response. He took out a snow globe and whispered Manhattan. He then through the snow globe, making a massive portal.

"Let's go, people!" I said. We all started moving forward.

"Anna. Please be carful." Gerda begged her daughter.

"I will mom." Anna hugged her parents.

"Take care of her, Kristoff." Kai ordered.

"I will sir." He nodded with a serious face. We all marched forward into the portal. I'm going to save you Elsa. I'm going to save us all and our world.
