The Big Reveal
"Where's Gerry?" Sasha asked when she walked back in with all the orders that she'd collected.
"He was called up to reception. Did you not see him when you were up there?" Steve asked. In the corner Dan sat chewing his lip nervously.
"No he wasn't there." Sasha replied.
"One minute I have a text from him." Steve said as he looked down slightly, "he said he won't be back in and he'll make it up to you Sasha."
"He's better off there anyway, the tension was insufferable. Dan are you okay?"
"I need to go and see Strickland." Dan said to no one in particular as he got up and left.
"Dan. Is everything alright?" Strickland asked as Dan barged into his office.
"Has Gerry said anything to you?" Dan asked, it was clear he wasn't himself. His face had gone a funny colour and his eyes were red as if he hadn't been sleeping properly.
"No. Are the results in?"
"I think so. He got a letter earlier and he hasn't been back since."
Gerry was at home, he'd opened the results and was busy figuring out Sandra's requests with the coloured envelopes. He now knew who Olivia's father was.
He didn't even bother trying to contact the two nervous possible fathers because he knew they were both still at work and Dan was probably plotting his death for how he'd handled this but it was what Sandra wanted.
Gerry grabbed the envelope with Strickland's name on in red ink and the one with Dan's name on in blue and then his keys and set off for the met building again.
