Chapter 2
Ana opened her eyes. She felt groggy and sick. She looked around her and saw the nurse coming in to her room. She noticed the wires leading to her arms.
"Good, you're awake. Hello Ana, I'm your nurse. How are you feeling?".
"A bit sick".
"That'll be the fluids. Your boyfriend went to get a coffee, he should be back soon?".
"My boyfriend?".
"Yes, Mr Grey".
"Of course".
"What happened? Why am I here?".
"You fainted and Mr Grey bought you here last night, you've been asleep since then".
Ana nodded.
The nurse checked the I.V, took her temperature and then left.
Ana was glad to be left alone, she was so tired.
"Your awake?" Ana looked up to see Christian standing in the door way, his tie was undone slightly and his hair ruffled.
"Yes. Did you bring me here?".
"Yes Ana, I did".
"Well you had no right, I was fine".
"Ana, baby, you fainted. You were not fine. The doctor is coming to see you soon, lets wait for him to talk about this".
"No, I will talk to the doctor. I want you to leave".
"Why? What is the matter Ana? I want to be here for you, I want to help you through this".
Ana slumped back against the bed, "I'm sorry. I know you want to help".
Christian moved to Ana's bedside. He ran his fingers through her hair and kissed her on the forehead.
"You don't have to worry about me Christian, not over this. I have gotten better from it before and I will do it again".
"You are an amazing person Ana and I worry about you because I love you".
"Anastasia, I am Doctor Heath. How are you feeling?" the doctor said interrupting Ana and Christian's conversation.
"A bit sick and a little groggy".
"Okay, well that is to be expected. Mr Grey would you step outside a moment please, I would like to speak with Anastasia alone".
Christian clenched his jaw and opened his mouth to talk.
"Christian, its okay. I'll be fine".
Christian walked out without another word.
"Anastasia I read in your notes that you have suffered from anorexia nervosa since you were 13, is that right?".
Ana blushed a little, she really didn't like talking about this.
"Yeah, that is right".
"What set off this relapse?".
"I broke up with my boyfriend".
Ana wished that the questioning would end.
"Okay, well I want you to speak to a therapist to find ways to deal with emotional stresses without having a relapse".
"I really don't think that is necessary. It was just a slip and I really don't think it is going to happen again".
"Well it is your choice but I do feel that it could be useful for you to speak to a therapist, will you think about it?".
"Of course. When can I go home?".
"I want you to stay in for some further tests to make sure that there is nothing wrong and once those results come back, you can go home once you have eaten something Anastasia".
"Okay thank you".
"I will come back and see how you are doing in a few hours Anastasia".
Ana groaned, she hated hospitals.
"What did the doctor say?" Christian asked.
"He wants me to see a therapist and that I can go home once I eat something".
"Well that's a good idea, I can get Dr Flynn down here today".
"No Christian".
"Ana, we are not arguing about this. You are seeing Dr Flynn".
Ana sighed.
"We should talk about us" Christian said slowly, he wanted to broach it carefully but he also wanted to know where he stood. He wanted to let Ana take the relationship the way she wanted.
"Okay".
"What do you want to happen with us? We didn't get a chance to talk about it last night".
"I love you Christian but I'm worried that despite what you say I'm not going to be enough for you".
Christian placed both his hands on his head and groaned.
"Ana, you have to believe me. While you were gone I went through hell and I never want to feel like that again. What do I have to do to make you believe that?".
"I don't know Christian. I really don't, I guess I'll just have to let you show me".
Christian put his arm around Ana and tilted her chin with his fingers and kissed her, hard on the mouth.
"I love you baby".
"I love you too Christian" Ana said with a yawn.
"Get some sleep baby, I have to go make some calls. Do you want me to bring you some clothes in?".
"Can you call Kate and ask her to bring some in in a couple of hours, I need to talk to her".
"Sure. I'll be back soon".
Ana pulled the blanket up to her chin and closed her eyes. She fell asleep almost instantly.
