-Gabe's POV-

I have to mentally restrain myself from spinning her around and singing to her. She wants to date me…well all of us, but whatever, I can handle that. I already have an idea for our date and how I will ask her out, now I just have to wait my turn.

"Oy Trouble! I have missed you. Perfect timing too we are swamped."

-Sang's POV-

Ok. Gabe is pretending like nothing is different. I can do that too, I think. Gabe drew me in for a hug and swung me over to stand behind the register. "Stand your pretty ass right there and don't move until the tip jar is full."

He placed an empty jar on top of the counter and walked around the diner checking on his tables. I brought my phone out and started playing around with it. I was distracted by a new game Victor put on my phone that I almost didn't notice Luke walking over to me.

"Hi Sweetie, whatcha doing?"

"Hi Luke. I am currently failing miserably at this game. Have you been in the kitchen or did you just get here?" I put the phone down on the counter so I could give him a hug.

"In the kitchen, I was surprised you didn't come back to say hi, but Gabe told me he stuck you up here as soon as you walked through the door. This is the first I could come out to see you. We are finally slowing down."

I looked around the diner. There was only one table occupied and the customers were talking to Gabe. He was waving his arms dramatically in the air as he related some story to them. I couldn't hear him but the two guys sitting at the table were captivated by whatever he was saying.

"Do you want to come back in the kitchen with me now? I can show you my new desert."

At the mention of food, my stomach growled which made Luke throw his head back and laugh.

"Aw, that's adorable." Luke grabbed my hand and pulled me into the kitchen. We walked back to one of the stainless steel work tables that had a row of small desert plates lined up. On each plate was a roll of some sort of cake with a white filling inside. My mouth was watering just looking at it, and the smell was amazing.

"It's a pumpkin roll with cream cheese filling. Right before we serve it we will add a dollop of whipped cream and then some caramel drizzled on top of that."

"Wow. Just wow." It's all I could say. I liked to cook but my food rarely looked good. I never worried about what the food looked like, just that it tasted good. Luke took out a bowl of what must be homemade whipped cream and a bottle of caramel sauce. He took one plate and moved it over to an open counter. He topped it with the whipped cream and started moving the caramel sauce in a flourish over the plate. When he stepped to the side I could see that he had drawn a thin lace pattern with the caramel over the whipped cream. On the plate he had drawn out a little flower. "It's so pretty Luke."

"Presentation is an important part of serving food. Of course it needs to taste amazing, but if it looks amazing people are already excited about it before they have a chance to taste it."

"That makes sense. Can I try to draw something?" He handed me the bottle and I only needed a second to think about what I would try to draw. When I stepped back to show Luke, a small snowman stared back at him, complete with top hat and scarf. It was almost winter after all.

"My turn to say wow. It's cute sweetie. I should put you in charge of overseeing the presentation of the deserts from now on. Some of the other guys just do a couple squiggles and send it out to the table."

"Thanks! What else can we decorate?"

-Luke's POV-

She is so adorable when she gets excited about something. If I had known she would be that excited about drawing with caramel sauce we would have done it weeks ago. Then again, left on our own in the kitchen for too long and I might try to get the caramel sauce on something other than the dessert. Stop Luke! Focus. Now is my chance to ask her out. When I won the straw draw last night everyone thought for sure I had cheated. I totally would have, but North was watching me like a hawk the whole time I was cutting the straws and mixing them up in my fist. It was pure luck that I won.

"Let me try something else Sang." She handed me the bottle and I moved to stand in front of the counter, blocking her view of what I was doing. I moved aside so she could see what I drew, or rather, wrote. I saw her head tilt a little to the side as she took in what I wrote:

Sang, will you go out with me? J

And then I saw the sparkle in her eyes that she gets when she is excited. She turned to me and had the biggest smile. I hope that means yes.

"There is a place downtown that holds classes in a demo kitchen. They have cooking classes and classes that focus solely on presentation. Would you want to go to one with me? And then maybe we could get some dinner together? I guess it would be our second date since I did take you out on the super romantic camera recovery date. So what do you say, will you go out with me?"

She threw her arms around my neck and whispered in my ear "Yes Luke, I would really like to do that with you. Thank you for asking me."

Sang would be the girl to thank me for asking her out. How amazing is she?

"Awesome! How about next week? There is a presentation class next Sunday night. We could do that and then check out one of the local restaurants for dinner."

-Sang's POV-

Omygod my first real date. We did joke about the camera mission being a date, but this is the first time that I have actually been asked out and will have a whole week to think about it. O my god, a whole week! Is this what girls go through all the time? What am I supposed to do for a week? What am I going to wear? Will Gabe help me pick out an outfit? Would he be offended?

"Trouble!" Gabe's shout startled me out of my thoughts. Probably for the best, I was starting to freak out. Gabe practically ran into the kitchen and skidded to a stop when he saw us. He looked at Luke and it seemed like he regretted coming in. "Sorry, I didn't know it was just the two of you back here. Kota called and wanted to know why you weren't answering your phone."

My phone? I patted my bra to feel for it, but it wasn't there. "I must have left it up at the register when Luke came out."

"Don't blame me! I don't want to face the wrath Kota. You better go get it before North tries to call, if you are going to blame me for this, I definitely don't want to face off with him."

I ran out to the front to get my phone checking my text messages on my way back into the kitchen.

Kota: Sang, don't forget that you are coming over to my house so we can work on the English assignment together.

I did forget that. For English we have to rewrite a chapter from the book we are reading from our perspective. I wasn't currently reading a book for the class, so I had no clue what to do yet. I am sure Kota is already done. I sent a quick response to him saying I would be over soon. When I got back into the kitchen I saw Luke scrubbing the counter that had his caramel message and Gabe was whispering something to him. They both looked up when they heard me come in. "Did you calm Kota down Trouble?"

"I did. I have to go over to his house so we can do the English assignment. Are you two coming?"

"Not tonight sweetie. Gabe and I are working the closing shift tonight. Are you heading over now I can walk you over to Kota's."

"I am going now, but that's okay, it's not that far, I can walk over on my own." Luke glanced over to Gabe and they did some of their silent communication before Luke looked back at me. "You know we aren't going to let you walk over by yourself, so I don't know why you even bother saying it." I know, but it was worth a shot. How much trouble could I get into between here and Kota's?

As if reading my thoughts Gabe put an arm around my shoulders and said "A lot of trouble can happen before you get to Kota's. Let me bring the check out to that table and then I'll walk you over." Gabe walked out to the dining room and I walked over to counter with Luke.

"Do you need any help cleaning up?"

"No thanks, Sweetie. So are you excited about our date?"

"I am! I didn't even know they had classes like that and I would love to learn how to make my food look pretty. Maybe after I take the class, Uncle will let me help back here with prepping everything."

Luke looked down at the counter before lifting his head again. "I am sure Uncle will love that. Sang, I want you to know that I am beyond excited that you are willing to try and date all of us and I know we can make this work. But I think we should keep it between our group for now, until we are all comfortable with it and everything, you know?"

It's not that I was planning on telling anyone, and I am sure Luke is worried about Uncle finding out, but when he said it like that I couldn't help but feel like they were embarrassed or concerned about our situation. Is this how it will always be? "Yeah, of course Luke, that would probably be best for now."

Before Luke could respond, Gabe came back into the kitchen. "Let's go Trouble. Don't want to keep our fearless leader waiting too long to start on his homework, he might combust." I couldn't help but giggle.

As soon as we were outside of the diner, Gabe grabbed my hand. "So Trouble, I heard you have a big date or two or nine coming up soon."
