Are you ready for a Riker's POV? Particularly, I enjoyed and laughed a lof writing this part of the story. I hope you feel the same while reading.

Riker's POV
We've just gotten back from the holidays. Like, literally. This meant that none of my siblings got reunited with their other half, and that day was finally the day we decided to go out with everybody, including Raini, Calum and Vanessa. Oh, that also meant that the couples would be all 'cutie-cutie' *sighs* well, the good part was that this time I'd have some company. No, I'm not talking about the curled and red haired. I'm talking about Vanessa. She is a really nice girl, not counting that she's hot. Yeah, that's it guys. I may be single, but I'm not blind. Oh, and I also know what Ross and Laura are doing. Playing match makers. It's not bad, really. They just want to see us happy. Plus, it wouldn't hurt get to know her better.
"Riker! Are you ready? We're heading to 'In'Out' like, right now!" I heard Ross from downstairs "Coming!" I said while running down the stairs "Here. I'm ready. Where are the others?" I asked, looking around "Well, Ell picked Rydel about three hours ago, Ryland is already there with Savannah, which remind me that Brandon isn't going today. He's at with his girlfriend's. And Rocky just left to pick Alexa" "What about you? What is holding you back?" "Doing my part and giving my brother a ride… So, how do I look?" "Okay, do you want the bro answer or the 'what Laura would think' answer?" "Both" "First: You look cool. Second: sexy. She won't take her eyes out of you" "Great. You look nice too" "Good. Let's go now? Or do we need to pick the girls?" "No. Laur is going with Ness. I was texting Laura and she told me they were on their way" "Okay. So what are we waiting for?" Once said that, we left.
The drive to 'In'Out' wasn't long. We just got into the car, talked about random things, and did what we like the most: listen and sing like crazy people that we, in fact, are. As my little brother finished parking the car, we saw two very familiar girls crossing the street, right in front of us. You know, it's in time like this you see how love is beautiful. In the next second, there was that blond head of his holding Laura's little frame and twirling around with her. I just laughed and got out of his car. "Hey, Vanessa" I said while approaching the older girl "Hey, Riker! Such a long time don't see ya! How was the holidays?" She asked, hugging me "Awesome! And cold *laughs*. What about yours" "Amazing… Awn. Look at those two. They are so cute" she spoke while eyeing the kissing couple in front of us "Yeah, you can really tell they are meant to be" I answered smiling "Hum, shouldn't we warn them that they are in public. I mean, since they want to keep it in secret?" I asked the beautiful girl beside me "You're right. But are you sure it will work? I've never seen my sister holds her breath for so long" "Same goes to Ross. This evolves each time they stay apart" "And this time wasn't for that long" "Agreed".
We got closer of the couple and, well, started trying to catch their attention. "Sorry guys, time to take a break. You're in public and I don't think you'd like to be caught…" I started "It didn't work… Laura! C'mon someone will see you!" "Guys! I know you freaking miss each other but we're on the middle of the street! They'll see you!" Nothing "I give up. They'll have to pull apart soon or later" "I hope it's soon though" Ness responded. Not much later, they pulled apart. Breathless. "Oh, Thanks God! Are you two done?" the brunette asked "Yeah guys. We're here for like, ten minutes. How long can you hold your breath?" "Ten?" Laura asked wide eyed "Wow. Ten minutes? D-Did anyone see us?" "No, not that we've seen. But you do need to learn how to control yourselves" Ness told them "Vanessa is right. You need to do it, since you want it to be a secret for a while" "And we know you want to admit it for the public slowly" "Just like Del and Ell or Rocky and Alexa or Ryland and Sav" Now imagine if they get a picture of you making out on the street" "It'll be a bomb dropped on everyone" "Also, if we consider that we're talking about 'Raura', their heads will blow out" They looked at us, understanding our point "You're right. I guess we should get in. They might be waiting for us" Laura affirmed "Yeah, thanks for the warning, mom and dad" Ross said making all of us laugh "Your welcome. It's just the duty like being the older. This is what we do" Vanessa spoke "Yes, and now that you both are finished, we'd like to compliment you, since we didn't got a chance before, right Ness?" "Right" She answered "Now, I want a hug from my future brother in law" the older Marano sister continued "Vanessa!" "What?" "Yeah, we all know it's gonna happen, little sister" I said while hugging Laura's tiny figure and Vanessa hugged my young copy. What? It's true. You can't deny it. Ross and I could be twins *laughs* "Right. Since that me and Riker got our hugs, I think it's better we do what Laura said" Nessa pronounced.
As soon as we entered, Rocky came right to us "Hey, guys! Why did you take this long out there?" "Oh, it was nothing. Just the golden couple catching up" His eyes widened "Out there? Where anyone can see? Are you two crazy?!" He exclaimed "No need in this, Rocky. Riker and Vanessa have already done all the work" Ross answered "Great. Now, let's sit. Everybody is waiting. Oh, and we just ordered, by the way" He continued, heading to the table, making us follow him. "Hey!" Rydel said coming to hug all of us "You're late! What happened?" "Ross and Laura got a little entertained" Rocky spoke "I guess we all know what they were doing" Raini teased.
After eating and giving some really laughs and also catching up with everyone, the couples started to get, what can I say? Cozy? Yeah, that's it. What left Vanessa and I kinda lost, I guess? "Hey, Riker" "What?" "Wanna get out of here? You know, so we don't need to watch all of this" "That's a pretty nice idea" "Okay. Let's go" she whispered, shaking her keys in her hands "Wait. Do you think they'll notice we're gone?" She looked at the couples in front of us "Nope. At least not now" "What about Ross and Laura? They need to know. We came with them" "We can send them text messages" "Right. Let's go".
We made our way to her car, where she asked "So, any place in mind?" "What about a walk through the beach? It's getting dark. I bet there will be almost no one there" "Twilight. It's when the beach reaches the apex of its beauty" "Nice choice of words" "Thanks! Now, here we go!" She started the car, also turning on the radio.
Arriving there, we got out of the car and made our way to the beach. I was right. There was almost nobody, just a few people. As we got closer to the shore, we stoped to take our shoes of. And that's when I checked her out: man, she had beautiful legs! The way her skirt fell on her thighs made them even more noticeable and, well, sexy. What? I'm a man!
"So, how's the career?" I started "Good. Acting is pretty funny" "I know. You can be a completely different person than you are" "Yeah. What about you? Thinking on return acting? You're good at it" "Thanks. You're awesome too" I noticed a sly tone of red appearing on her cheeks "But answering your question, I don't know. Maybe one day. For now, I'm focusing in music. Have you ever thought about this?" "Music? I love music, actually. It makes you feel free" "More than you think. I can poor all my feelings out" "Yeah, but I never really thought about working with it… Who knows? Maybe one day" She smiled. After that, we stayed in silence. A comfortable one though. Just us and the sound of the waves and us. It would make a beautiful melody.
I observed the girl once again. The way the wind made her hair hit her face and the way she slowly opened her eyes, looking at me, making me meet those two big brown globes… It was when I realized: I was starting to sound like Ross… Was I falling for my brother's girlfriend's sister?... No. That couldn't be. "It's funny when you do the both, you know? Music and acting. You can see two sides of the same coin. While in acting you can be someone else, in music you can be yourself" I said, breaking the silence "I hope one day I'll be able to see this other side too" she spoke smiling "Me too" I smiled back "Laura is already on it" "I know! We're in the same record label! Laura is a great singer and also has tons of loyal fans. And believe me when I say loyal, 75% of her fans are also mine. Just one warning: Don't mess with them or insult any of us. You'll regret it" "All right. I won't do it. May I know the most harmful ones so I can protect myself?" She asked playfully while raising her hands defensively "I'd say the 'Raura' shippers" "Oh, I've heard about those ones. They're the most dangerous" "I'm being serious. Even I have afraid of them" "Me too. Poor Andrew" "Yeah, Ross said he's a really nice guy" "This not bothers him though. He finds it funny, actually" "It's kinda funny. But it's also sad. It shows that most of people still don't believing in a true friendship between a boy and a girl" "I know right? Mainly with people like us. We can't even be seen standing beside someone different. I guess if anyone see us will think we're in a date."
That somehow offended me "Is it bad?" "No! You're a sweet, cute, mysterious, handsome… Actually, I think you're hot and…" Her eyes widened when she noticed what she said "You think I'm hot?" I asked, a smirk appearing on my face "Well, yeah" she blushed sorely "Great. So I don't need to be ashamed to say you're a pretty damn sexy girl" If Vanessa was blushing before, now you can say she was a tomato "Y-You think I am s-sexy?" I smiled "Yes, I do. One of the things which makes me wonder the reason why you don't have a boyfriend" "I guess I haven't found someone who worthies it. What about you? Aren't you the one who tons of girls dream on having your naked body on their bed?" I laughed "I'm just one of them. I'm pretty sure most of them would prefer Ross instated of me" "What about the Riker girls?" "Yeah, there are those ones… But I don't really know. I guess the reason is the same as yours" she smiled "You know, people say that sometimes the one is right in front of you but you can't see it… Do you think that's our case? That this special person is in front of us and we're not noticing it?" the brunette asked, truly intrigued "Maybe. Although I have this feeling that I may have opened my eyes just in time… And I'm looking at her at this very moment" "Is this a way to ask me out?" "It can be. If you want" "Are all the Lynch boys like this?" I looked at her, confused "What do you mean?" "Like this, good with the words, romantic… Your brother is like this when he's with Laura" "It might be in our blood" "Yeah, It might be. So, where are you planning on taking me?" My eyes widened "I'll take this as a yes?" I stated, even though it sounded more like a question "Yep. Next Saturday is okay to you?" "Sure. If something goes wrong I'll call you… And no, I don't know where I'll take you" I laughed "It's settled then. Next Saturday. At seven?" I nodded.
It was dark when we decided return to Vanessa's car. As we were getting into it, her phone rang "Oh, it's my sister!... Hey, Laura!... What? It's this late already?... No, tell him Riker is fine. I didn't kidnapped him, he came for free will" I laughed at that comment "Okay… You're at Ross'? … Fine. We're heading to there… Just warn mom and dad… See you in a few minutes. Bye" Ness hang up and then turned to me "Seems like we forgot to text our siblings" "Oh, shit!" "Ross thought I had kidnapped you… Oh, and your mom invited Laura and I for dinner" "Dinner? What time is it?" "It's a quarter past nine" "We stayed out this long?" "Time flies when we have fun" The girl said smiling "Thank you. I hope you also feel this way next weekend" "I know I will" she replied winking…. And at that moment I knew… That girl was going to be the death of me.
Not much later we arrived at my house. "Hey guys. I'm home!" I shouted "We're in the kitchen!" Ryland screamed back. "Look who's finally back! We thought Vanessa had kidnapped you" Ross said coming near to us, bringing Laura with him "I've already told Laura. He came because he wanted" Ness shoot back "Since we're in the subject, why'd you leave?" Rocky asked "Let's just say we got a little tired of the couple things surrounding us… So we went for a walk" I answered "You were walking for almost 4 hours?" "We went to the beach… Ended up we had a really nice conversation" Ness responded "Just that? You spent 3 hours talking?" "Yep" Both of our voices sounded "All right. If you guys say so" Rocky said smirking… And I know exactly what was in his mind.
"Rydel, did you check the oven like I asked you before?" My mother questioned while entering the kitchen "Almost ready, mom" "Great… Riker, you're back! Why did you take so long?" "Sorry. I guess we sorta lost the track of time" I told her, also pointing to the girl besides me "There's no problem, sweetheart… Vanessa! Long time don't see you. Still beautiful, just like your sister" "Thanks!" "Riker and Ross say so" Rocky implied, earning nothing more, nothing less than a slap from Ross "Ouch!" the long haired complied.
As soon as we finished the dinner, our guests decided to head out "Thank you for letting us stay for dinner" Laura turned to my mother "You don't need to thank me honey. You're almost from the family, and Vanessa is always welcomed too" The actress smiled "Oh, believe me, I have a feeling that Vanessa's presence will be more way frequent in this house" Ryland spoke, gaining a death glare from me "You know, I think I'm going to my room now… Bye Rat, bye girls!" My little brother ran upstairs … Advantages of being the older: you can scare the heck out of your siblings *laughs*.
After the 'good byes', Ross and I were outside, guiding the Marano girls to their car. "Thank you for today, Riker. I really enjoyed being with you" "I'm glad you did" just in that moment I noticed how close we were "I guess it's time we go home" "So, it's better you tell your sister to break apart from my brother" We both laughed "It's sad thought. They look so cute in this hug" "Talking about hugs…" "Okay, come here" She wrapped her arms around my waist and I did the same with her shoulders. Of course, we had hugged before, but this one felt different, it felt… right, like two pieces of puzzle that fit together perfectly. The warmness of her body combined with her perfume was also messing with my mind. For what it seemed being too soon, we broke apart to see our siblings staring and smiling at us. "Good night, big brother" Laura said, giving me a friendly hug while Ness did the same with Ross. Finally, when Ross kissed Laura one more time (yeah, they kiss a lot), her older sister came to me "See you on Saturday, Blondie" She whispered in my ear, leaving me stunned, and headed to her car.
"See you on Saturday? What is it supposed to mean?" asked the blond figure beside me "Are you going to hang with your girl next weekend?" "Why are you answering me with another question?" "Just answer me" He sighed "Yep. We're going to chill with some of her friends from school. Why?" "Wanna a ride to her place?" "That would be cool… Wait. Why would offer me a ride to my girlfriend's house?" That was when his face lighted up "No way! You asked her out! And she said yes! I knew it would work!" I laughed and then he realized what he had said "Riker, sorry. It's just that seeing you alone and…" "Relax, Ross. I knew. All the time" "You knew?" "Yep. But thanks for caring. It means a lot" "I'm your brother. Of course I care. Plus you helped me with Laur. I'm just returning the favor" "I remember when you were oblivious to your feelings and when you realized it and didn't know what to do" I laughed "You were there for me. I'm doing the same… So, tell me. What made you ask her out?" "She's an enchanting girl. Grown up, responsible, talented, seems to be a truth person, have those mesmerizing brown globes instated of eyes, not to talk about those legs… Dude I'm starting to sound like you!" He laughed "Seems like you really like her. I knew it. You always had a crush on her" "How did you know?" "It was all in your eyes, bro. All in your eyes" I laughed and shook my head "All right, romantic boy. Let's head back. It's late and I don't want to be attacked by any crazy person" "Neither do I" That was the last phrase spoken before we headed back for a good night of sleep.
Oh, yeah. I had to put Andrew in the story to express my opinion, which is, besides the whole boy/girl true friendship, that we can't judge anyone without knowing him or her. Plus, with all the Raura we've been getting lately, there's no reason to worry about. Again, it's just my opinion (;
