I am so sorry it's taken so long. I've gone through a lot of stuff but now it's all sorted and I'm ready to carry on writing! PLEASE REVIEW, FOLLOW, WHATEVER! If there are things to improve on, TELL ME! Carrying on the disclosure: I OWN NOTHING (except the plot!)
Alice could not stop staring at McTwisp. His big scared eyes stared straight back at her and she had no idea what to do. She saw the sadness in his eyes. It had to be him. But what happened to him? What happened to Underland? These were the only things Alice wanted to know, so she had to find out.
'McTwisp?' She said, cautiously. The reply from the rabbit was simply a slight nod.
'What's happened here?' Alice tried to stop herself from sobbing but she couldn't help it. A single tear trickled down her face and dripped off her cheek and onto the floor. Nivins watched the tear, and then looked back up at Alice. He gulped.
'Alice… You haven't been here in years. The White Queen has… Well… She hasn't been well for a while. We've tried to find you but you've been away so long.'
'Nivins!' Alice cried out before bursting into tears. 'I've been exploring on my father's ship… I thought I saw Absolem. I thought he would have said something.'
Alice collapsed in a heap on the floor. The poor rabbit couldn't think of anything to do. Alice had to change what had happened. She wiped the tears from her eyes and took a deep breath. Crying would not solve anything. In fact, it makes everything worse. She stayed silent for a moment before slowly scrambling up to her feet and brushing herself down.
'Mr McTwisp' Alice announced in an official manner. 'I must change what has happened. But first, I must know how bad the damage is.'
McTwisp had no reply apart from 'I'm no longer late…' The confusion on his face made Alice realise how bad the situation had got. She immediately shook her head to get rid of any sympathy; sympathy can wait, and she started walking down the dirty stone path. As she walked down and the rabbit followed, Alice saw all damage that she had caused by not visiting Underland. She looked around to see weeds and dying plants in the flowerbeds, various objects were littered around, and they reminded Alice of all her friends. A broken pocket watch, an old spear with a red heart at it's handle, a small sword; small enough for a mouse, various bottles and potions, all sealed with a white heart stamp, clumps of blue and grey fur which blew about in the wind, and various other objects, which may have been lost at battle. Although fear and regret were swirling inside Alice, she couldn't show it. She had to carry on trudging down the broken, cobbled path, being careful not to tread on anything other than the stones. She needed to get to the bottom of this problem. She needed Underland to be restored back to its former glory.
