There once was a small kingdom ruled by the proudest of Kings. He had everything that he could have ever desired a vast kingdom, endless wealth, loyal knights, a wife, and 5 sons (or so he thought). The eldest son was named Henry, the second eldest was named Matthew. The third eldest was named Shane. The two youngest were called Wilbur, and Wilfred.

The King's favorite was the middle 'son', what the king didn't know was that Shane wasn't a prince, but a princess. When the King and Queen first wed, the King made a decree that if there was single daughter born of his marriage, she would be sentenced to death.

Fearing her daughter's safety, the Queen instructed the doctor to hide the truth from the King. Finally agreeing the doctor kept the secret safe, and falsely informed the king that another prince was born. Relieved, the Queen took all precautions so that her husband wouldn't find out. Personally taking care of her daughter, explaining that Shane was incredibly fragile and only should be taken care of by his mother, the Queen prevented anyone from discovering the truth for 18 years.

Throughout the course of the years, Shane proved to be the strongest, smartest, and most successful of his brothers, even the most popular amongst the princesses of neighboring kingdoms.

[The Throne Room]

Entering the room stood a tall man with midnight black hair was long and usually tied in a low pony tail. He wore very little armor such as a chest plate and pauldrons, with the family crest centered on the cape. Taking her place in the middle of the room beside her four other brothers, Shane looked up at the King.

The King smiled upon the arrival of the last son. "My sons there is going to be a ball held in the honor of a neighboring kingdom's Princess. I believe it is her birthday" he cleared his throat. "We are leaving tonight for the party is going to be in two days' time. I would like for you all to be on your best behavior"

"Yes father" they said in unison

"Shane, your mother is waiting for you in the ballroom"

"Yes father" Turning around Shane walked out of the room, and quickly made her way to the ballroom. Where the queen stood staring out the window holding her hands behind her back, lost in thought. "Mother?"

"Shego, you and I will ride ahead of your father and brothers."

"What excuse did you tell them this time?"

"I said you needed your rest if you were going to court the Princess, and it wouldn't happen if you were with your rambunctious brothers."

Chuckling softly she shook her head. "Oh mother, you know as well as I do. I can keep them in their place."

"I know, but your father will most certainly try to give you a lecture on why you haven't exactly picked a bride yet."

A faint blush spread across her face as she rubbed the back of her head. "Ah, I see. "

"At least you won't have to wear the armor for a couple of days."

"I don't mind it much anymore" She smiled "Since I've gotten stronger, it's lighter now"

"hmm, let's get going" The Queen walked to the main entrance as a carriage was already waiting for the both of them. Stepping inside she sat down. Shego took a seat beside her. The door closed as the crack of a whip was heard, the horses steadily began to pull the carriage.

[Neighboring Kingdom- Two days later ]

The queen made her daily rounds in the garden, and made her way to the grand ballroom, where there were plenty of servants decorating the walls with flowers and tapestries. With a smile of approval she went in search of her children. Hearing constant steel clashing, she decided to check the training grounds to see her youngest train against each other. "Boys, the guest should be arriving soon."

Timothy and James both stopped and looked over at their mother. "We'll" "Be ready"

Nodding her head, she made her way up the stairs, to her eldest daughter's bed room. Knocking on the door, she pushed it open to see her daughter sitting by the window while scribbling on a scroll. "Kimmie"

The girl looked up, and smiled at her mother "Yes mom?"

"It's almost time sweetie"

"I'll be down in a bit mom" Kimberly smiled

"Wonderful, oh Ronald will be here shortly too. So will Monica"

[ Later that night ]

The ballroom was filled with loud music, boisterous laughter, jesters juggling small daggers, and lively dancing. Shego found herself surrounded by a group of noblewomen, and princesses. Not knowing what to do next, Shego tried to find a reason to leave.

"Excuse me my lovely friends, my friend here promised to dance with me during the next song." Cutting through the crowd, a brunette grabbed Shego by the wrist dragging her out of the crowd, leading her to the dance floor.

"Bo, thank you" Shego sighed

"I thought you would be happy with all the attention you're getting from these girls"

Shego shrugged "Up until they start groping me" spinning Bonnie once, than smirked. "Looks like you got the attention of one of the girls"

Casually looking around Bonnie locked eyes with a chocolate skin girl with black hair dressed in a maroon dress made out of silk. "She's beautiful"

"A maiden so fair your heart of stone seems to have finally softened? Dear god, you do exist"

"Help me talk to her"

"What? Why me?"

"Are you joking? Look at the way all these girls throw themselves at you"

"They do it only because they think I'm a guy" she whispered

Bonn belle sighed while rubbing her arm. "I guess that's it for love for me…I'll never know what it's like."

"Good, that sounds like the old Bonn Belle that I know." Shego made her way through the crowd; with a smile she extended her hand towards the girl who had her eyes on Bon. "My name is Shane Pendragon, and my friend over there is Bon belle Rockwaller. I would like to make her jealous if that is alright with you"

"And how would you go about doing that, Sir Pendragon?" The girl smiled as she crossed her arms.

"Just call me Shane, take my hand and find out" Shego smiled

"Well Shane I'm Monica, and I must say that I am intrigued. "Placing her hand ontop of Shego's, Monica was led to the dance floor. As a slow ballad began to play, wrapping around Shane's neck, Monica casually looked over at Bonn belle who was just staring with rage. "What's the plan here exactly, because it looks like your friend over there is getting ready to kill you"

"That's the plan" Wrapping her arms around Monica's waist to pull her closer, they made their way through the crowd, by the middle of the song, Shego spun Monica into Bonn's arms. "Bon, Monica, Monica Bon" smirking she than walked away from them. Through the corner of her eye, Shego could see a mysterious figure lurking through the shadows of the ballroom. The hooded figure finally came out of the shadows with a dagger in hand and approached a young maiden with fiery red hair. Dashing towards the girl, Shego turned her around in order to roll on her back, with her legs extended in the air; she landed in front of the hooded stranger .Unsheathing her knife Shego pinned the stranger against the wall as all activities ceased. Guards immediately grabbed the hooded stranger from Shego as she was suddenly pulled into a hug by the king.

"Young man that was a courageous act!"

Almost suffocating in the embrace, Shego was relieved when the king finally let go. But suddenly realized that all eyes were focused on her. Clearing her throat and regaining her composure she bowed to the King. "Your Highness, it was nothing. I am certain that any man here would give their life to protect your radiant jewel."

The King grinned from ear to ear. "Ay, she is! Kimberly, come forth and meet you're new bodyguard!"

Looking up the raven haired girl with emerald eyes, locked eyes with a fiery red head. Suddenly the room went quiet.
