Ro walked into cafeteria where the rehearsals for t
he school performance was being held.
Almost every one of the blonds were there, except for a few that would undoubtedly show up later... except for Corinne.
"Hi Anneliese." She greeted as she walked by.
The girl umped and spun around "Hey... uh... Ro! Hi!"
Ro cocked her head slightly "Hi."
Anneliese clasped her hands behind her back "What's up?"
"Nothing much." Ro answered "Have you..."
"Ro?" a voice said behind her. It was Antonio.
"Hi," she said quietly, looking down at the floor "Did you need something."
"Excuse us for a moment." Antonio said to Anneliese, then he led Ro to a quiet corner "I just wanted you to know... Lucana... the engagment." he let out a huff of air "I had no idea! I promise!"
Ro's eyebrows slightly raised "Why are you telling me this?"
"Well I..." he glanced around the room "I was kind of hoping... but now with what my father has done..." he looked back at her "I'm not making a lick of since, am I?"
Ro smiled slightly "Actually, you're making perfect since." she sighed and shook her head "But maybe it's better this way. Luciana's a Princess and you're a prince. That's the way things work." then she turned and walked away, leaving Antonio staring after her.
Corinne walked in the door just then.
The whole room fell silent as everyone recognized the girl standing in the doorway, and almost at once, all the other blonds in the room plus 'Kiera', her three friends and except for Anneliese ran over to her.
"What are you doing here?"Annika asked "You were the last..."
"I know." Corinne waved her off "Let's just say I got into a little scramble during English today. Drosselmeyer decided I'd been spending too much time in detention so he sent me here."
Clara cringed "Ooh. He must have been mad."
Ro leaned in a little "Is Anneliese okay? She's acting strange."
Corinne chuckled slightly "That's not Annelises. That's Erica. I'll update you later, but do what you can to help her do what Anneliese would do, okay?" she pointed at Genevieve "I think you'd probably be the best choice to stick close to her."
"Okay." Genevieve nodded.
Jeremy leaned over to Ian and whispered "Should we be scared?"
"I don't know." Ian answered "It looks like they're plotting a takeover or something."
"Alright!" Someone called from the middle of the room "Time to start rehearsals!"
Corinne groaned "They're everywhere!"
The teachers in the room were Queen Danielle, Dorothy, Phaedra, King Randolph, Madame Natasha, Philippe and Ariana.
"Personally," Merliah whispered "I thought Philippe and Ariana made perfect acting teachers."
Corinne snorted "No kidding."
Rothbart came walking into the room and went over to Philippe and Ariana. After a short conversation the two acting teachers nodded then looked over at Corinne and smiled.
"Why do I feel like this isn't going to be fun?"
"Come on." Eden shook her head "It's not that bad being on stage."
"It is fun." Kiera volunteered "Well... when you're a popstar. Opera people just stand there and make high pitched noises."
"Hey!" Eden shot her a glare "Opera is much more refined then... Pop!"
"Girls!" Philippe stared "Let's get started!"
As the girls rejoined the group, he pointed at Corinne "You're with the Ballerinas."
"What!?" she stopped and shook her head "Nuh-uh. I don't... rephrase, can't dance."
"Believe her." Aramina said "She can't. Trust me. I know."
Philippe stared at her "Fine. You're with the musicians."
Corinne shrugged "Can't play anything."
"Nothing?"
"Nope."
Ariana frowned "Then you're with the singers."
"I wouldn't recommend that." Corinne could see her friends starting to get cracked up off to the side. I was starting to think this was a worse punishment for the teachers than for me. But hey, it was fun!
"How about she be backstage help?" Dorothy suggested "We could use some more of those."
"Perfect!" Corinne said quickly "I'll do it."
"Alright!" King Randolph spoke "Does anyone have any ideas of what the performance should be this year?"
"How about Prince and the Pauper?" Dominic suggested "It was one of my mom's favorite stories."
"No!" Corinne, Julian and Erica cried all at the same time.
When everyone looked at them, Julian smiled nervously "It's... odd."
Corinne slightly turned to Erica "And way to close to home."
Erica chuckled "No kidding."
"Have you any other ideas?" Phaedra asked.
Corinne shrugged "How about the three musketeers?"
Philippe's eyebrows lowered "The story about your father?"
"Yes."
"Whoa!" Blair said "Your father is the D'artagnon in the books?"
"Yeah." Corinne said "That's why my name is Corinne D'artagnon."
"Yes." Philippe sneered "And all of Paris knows about the foolish girl who wants to follow in her father's footsteps."
Corinne's eyes narrowed "So?"
"It's a senseless ambition." the man continued "Girls could never possess the proper skills to become a musketeer."
Louis cocked his head slightly "She just gets more and more interesting."
"Keep watching, Louis." Nicholas joked "She's starting to get mad. Her cutest moments."
Louis glared at him "Knock it off."
"Why don't we get back to thinking up a plan." Queen Danielle said quickly.
Corinne gritted her teeth then turned and walked away.
"Chill Chile." Renee whispered "We're not singing Burnin' Love."
"What?" Corinne asked "What song is that?"
"One you wouldn't know about." Renee mumbled.
"Alright!" Madame Natasha clapped her hands "Warm ups!"
Corinne stood on the sidelines and watched... sort of. Her mind wandered to the situation that they were all in.
Where was Anneliese? Would the spell on Odette ever get broken? Would their school ever be safe again?
"Hi."
She jumped and spun around to see Louis standing behind her.
"Hello." she said calmly before turning back around.
He stepped up beside her "So... you really don't do any type of entertainment?"
"Sure." she answered with a smile "I create the commotions."
"You almost sound like you're proud of it."
"Not really. It just... happens."
"I... heard you attacked Rothbart." he watched her tense.
"I suppose I could have stayed under my desk and hid." she said slowly "But he still would have hurt someone."
Louis' eyebrows rose in confusion "What?"
"Nothing." she answered with a slight shake of her head "Just too much to think about. That's all."
"Okay." he watched the warmups for a few seconds "Are you coming to the game, Friday? Mattel High vs W.D University."
"I hear they're good."
"We'll see." he smiled at her "So will you be there?"
"Will you?" she returned his smile completely.
"I'd better be." Louis chuckled "Or Captain Aiden will fry me."
"You are the best shot on the Basketball team."
"True."
Corinne laughed "Yes, I'll be there. Just tell Ian and Jeremy not to pull the stunt that they pulled when you were playing against Warner Brother Academy."
"They won't." he answered "Unless someone calls them Nick and Nack again." he sent her another smile then walked off.
Last year during one of the Basketball games, a player from the W.B Academy had called Ian and Jeremy Nick and Nack, not knowing that that was the names of the two Goons of Mattel High. But Ian and Jeremy had taken it personal and had gone on a rampage.
They shot ten baskets in three minutes, which also won them the game. But they had been lectured by Drosselmeyer for poor sportsmanship.
"Alright Kristyn!" Natasha called "Please go through the routine correctly. It must be perrrrfect."
"Hi." Hailey said, stepping up beside Corinne "Let's hope she does it."
Corinne shrugged "I guess."
The music started and Kristyn started her dance.
"Good. Good." Hailey whispered.
Corinne just watched.
A very few short moments later, Kristyn closed her eyes, then opened them again, a bright smile on her face.
"And I'm thinking she's gone."
"Oh no." Hailey groaned.
Tara, another ballerina and senior, scoffed "What is she doing?"
"Something awesome!" Dillon answered then quieted down "That's going to get her into a whole sack of trouble."
"I still think it's cool." Corinne said.
But, Madame Natasha didn't "Stop the music!" she shouted "Stop everything!" Kristyn didn't seem to here "That means you Kristyn!"
That snapped the girl out of her daydream state "What?" she asked confused. She accidentally stepped wrong and the laces on one of her shoes snapped, causing her lose her balance and fall to the floor.
Corinne cringed "Ouch. That's gotta hurt."
"Not as bad as Natasha's lecture will." Dillon mumbled, then he walked out onto the stage.
Corinne cocked her head "I think he likes her."
Aramina giggled behind her "Oh yeah. But he always has to dance with Tara."
"The teacher's pet." Corinne finished "Got it."
After a long and grueling lecture, Natasha finally walked away, leaving Kristyn where she was still sitting on the floor.
"Are you okay?" Dillon asked, extending a hand down to her.
"Yeah." Kristyn answered, accepting his help. She couldn't help but feel a slight surge of joy despite the tongue lashing she'd just gotten from Natasha. Dillon had just helped her to her feet! And was still standing in front of her!
"Dillon!" Tara snapped "We're losing rehearsal time!" she grabbed the boy's arm "Come on!"
Hailey walked over to her friend "We need to get you some new shoes... come on."
As they passed Corinne, she smiled "You sure you're okay?"
Kristyn nodded "Yeah. I will be." then she continued walking.
Corinne let out a huff of air "The reason I hate Drama Club. You're forced to be someone you're not."
(Sorry it took so long to update. You would not believe all the homework I have to do! I know you understand :) Well, I hope you enjoyed! Time will start moving a little quicker after this. Laterz!)
