Corinne ran back into the gym and looked around "Where'd they go?" then she spotted a trail of ice leading towards the cafeteria then she took off running again.
"Wait a minute!" Louis called as he skid to a stop "What's going on now?"
The trail of ice was thick all the way down the halls til it turned into the cafeteria. When Corinne stepped through the doors and stopped.
Kristen was standing a few yards away watching as Hailey, who was dressed in a tutu, was spinning several pirouettes, apparently at the Ice Queen's demand.
The whole room had been cleared, a large throne on top of a small platform sat in the middle and everything was coated in ice.
"She's not a dancer!" Kistyn cried as she watched her friend spinning in circles.
"Well everyone has to start somewhere." The woman responded.
"That's not what she wants!"
"But it is what I want!" The Ice Queen shouted "There is one way to dance these steps! My way!"
"Stop!"
Corinne shook her head and went to stand by Kristyn "Let Hailey go!"
"Oh, you too, huh?" The Ice Queen's eyes turned to small slits "You're more trouble than you're worth. You know that?"
"Coming from you, I'd say that's a good thing." Corinne snapped.
A moment later, The Ice Queen made Hailey stop dancing. Exhausted, the seamstress collapsed to the ground.
Kriisyn ran over to her friend.
"About you." The Ice Queen said, pointing at Corinne. Then she started to squeeze her hand into a fist and... nothing happened.
Corinne looked around halfway expecting something to be floating behind her. But there was nothing.
The Ice Queen looked at her hand confused then tried again. Still nothing happened.
Corinne shrugged "I don't get it."
"To stubborn." she heard the Ice Queen mumble before she turned to Kristyn "And now it's your turn."
All of the sudden, A blue light came around the brunette and she slowly stood up.
Corinne shook her head slowly "She's controlling her." she breathed as she watched Kristyn start dancing by the Ice Queen's command "Stop!" she shook her head again "This isn't right."
"Just be glad it's not you!" The Ice Queen shouted.
About that moment, Kristyn jumped and the spotlight following her around turned pink,
From the utterly confused look on the Ice Queen's face, Corinne guessed that wasn't supposed to happen.
Then the woman tried again and the spot light turned back blue, once again pulling Kristyn into it's control.
This time, Alberect and Hillarion decided to step forward.
"Let her go!" Hillarion said.
The Ice Queen simply used her powers to raise the two men into the air then blast them across the room.
Corinne quickly ducked as they flew over her head "This is exactly why I'm content with being normal." she whispered to her self, then something out one of the windows caught her attention. The fairies had been performing the flight of spring tonight, and from the looks of it, Laverna was there. She had a large blue sort-of-bubble floating beside her and was motioning the Enchantress towards it.
Corinne looked back at Kristyn who had just broken the woman's control again, then looked back out the window "Don't." she said under her breath "Don't." she could only image what was being said, but whatever it was it couldn't be good.
"Stop that!" the Ice Queen shouted, recapturing Corinne's attention "There is only one way!"
For a few seconds she had Kristyn under her power, but it was quickly lost again "Ooh!" the woman screeched "There is only one way to tell this story!"
"No," Kristyn responded, sending a slight smile Corinne's way "There's more than one way to tell this story!" then she continued her dance with the Ice Queen trying frantically to recontrol the girl, but it was hopeless.
Corinne straightened back up and smiled as she watched the ballerina "That's right." she said quietly "Do it you're way."
But the Ice Queen managed to get her again.
"Come on, Kristyn!" Corinne called "Break it!"
The Ice Queen suddenly gasped as she lost control again.
Kristyn had managed to dance right up to the Ice Queen's throne, and as she leapt in front of the woman, her purple tutu became pink and her hair returned to it's original blond color.
Corinne crossed her arms and grinned "Way to go."
At that moment, light began to filter through the windows. Warm light... like sunlight.
Corinne's eyebrows raised "It's night." she mumbled.
The Ice Queen couldn't take the sudden heat. Thick clouds of smoke began to envelope her as Kristyn continued to dance around her and a moment later, she was gone.
Kristyn slowly came to a stop then sank to the floor, gasping for breath.
Corinne slowly clapped her hands as she walked towards the other blond "That would have made the talent scout's jaws drop."
Kristyn smiled as she took another deep breath "Thanks. You were right. It's better to just be you." she got to her feet with Corinne's help "I'd been trying to be like Tara, but I'm not Tara. I'm me."
"Perhaps you should marry her." Alberect said as he and Hillarion got back to their feet.
Hillarion nodded "She did always want to milk the cow her own way."
Corinne chuckled then the window caught her attention again.
The Enchatress entered the bubble-like chamber that was hoovering beside Laverna, and it instantly became covered in a green shell.
Laverna laughed then shot a ray of magic at the Blush and it immediately began to wilt.
"No!" Corinne shook her head and ran over to the window just as Elina flew between the killing ray and the blush. Even from a distance it was easy to see what was happening to the fairy "I have to go!" she said as she took off for the cafeteria doors. She shot down the hall back to the gym where the nearest exit was. But when she reached the middle of the room she was suddenly knocked off her feet by a giant flying serpent flying over head.
Corinne shook her head as she pushed herself to her knees "What on earth?" then she spotted Liana and Alexa standing off to the side, their gaze set on a podium that held a harp and a lyre.
Another girl that Corinne didn't recognize was with them.
Then another thing caught her attention, Blair, Hadley and Isla came running in the side door and towards where Dame Devon was playing tug of war with a man over a golden crown adorned with pink diamonds.
And now that Corinne thought about it, where was Tori?
The serpent landed and Lydia stepped off. She raised her flute to her lips and began to play. A long stream of green magic flew from the instrument towards the podium.
"No!" the girl with Liana and Alexa gasped. She ran forward and grabbed the harp and lyre just as the magic finished circling the podium and the stand shattered.
Through the window she could see Elina and the other apprentices fighting against Laverna's death ray with their own luminescence.
Corinne suddenly jumped as she spotted something shiny flying her way, as a natural reaction she grabbed it.
"Throw it to me!" Blair begged "Please!"
"No! Give it to me!" Dame Devon snapped.
Corinne stared at them confused "What's... going on?" then the crown was pulled from her hands by Brock, Dame Devon's security guard "Hey!"
The man simply grunted and walked towards Delancy's mother.
"Nuh-huh." Corinne jumped forward and tackled the man. The crown flew from his hands and soared through the air, past Blair, past Dame Devon and right into Delancy's hands "Oops."
Delancy looked at the crown then at the two people asking for it.
Dame Devon was holding out her hands, sure her daughter would hand it to her. Blair hung her head in defeat. But Delancy placed the crown on Blair's head instead, right at that moment, Liana and Alexa strummed the instruments that Melondy had saved and began to sing: "Believe. Believe
You're song will hold the key!"
The crown on Blair's head sparkled and a large spark began to circle her and her clothes began to change from the school girl uniform to a ball gown.
Lydia was trying to turn Alexa, Liana and Melody to stone, but the instruments they were playing and their necklaces formed a protective shield around them. Then Lydia's magic started flying back to her, and just as she turned to stone, outside Laverna exploded into a million rainbow sparkles.
By then, Blair's dress had completely transformed.
"It is Princess Sophia!" One of the other students gasped.
Corinne frowned "Really wish I'd heard the first part of this conversation."
"You useless child!" Dame Devon suddenly shouted as she turned to her daughter "Do you have any idea what you've done!? I eliminated Queen Isabella so you could be Princess one day!"
The whole room gasped, then everything fell silent.
Corinne glanced out a window and shook her head "Now it's snowing."
Dame Devon, seemingly noticed her mistake and smiled nervously "Uh... that's not what I meant."
The man that she had been fighting with before frowned "Security. Take her away."
"I'll do it!" Renee said as she, Aramina and Viveca stepped forward "We'd love to."
"No!" Dame Devon cried as Renee and Viveca grabbed her "You can't do this to me! Get your hands off me! " but the girls simply pulled her towards the doors "You have to crown Delancy! You have to! You'll pay for this!"
Delancy sighed and looked down at the floor, Corinne couldn't help but feel sorry for her.
Blair placed a hand on her newly-discovered Cousin's shoulder and smiled.
Just then, the first blush of spring was opened, apparently repaired by the apprentices. Thousands of butterflies flew from the flower, then they all flew underneath it and a large rainbow shot up through the clouds and the snow disappeared, then Kristyn appeared in a puff of sparkles right beside Corinne. Her hair was in it's normal bun and she was in her ballet practice outfit.
"Well, it didn't take me far but it was fun." Kristyn laughed, holding the pink ballet slippers in her hand.
Corinne let out a large huff of air then dropped to the floor "I've got one thing to say." she pulled her mask off "This is way too much Drama for high school!"
