Author's Note: I would just like to say I am sorry for being totally unreliable and you may bring your pitchforks to my doorstep if that is your wish.. Also I am soo glad that I killed Kikyo off but kept her miserable dead self in the story (sorry Kikyo lovers lmao). I have started putting my progress on my profile so that you can see how far along the chapter is and when it will be posted :) Idea credit to tn65loverinuy620jd! She gave me an awesome idea for Miroku that will be in the next chapter as well lmao :) Also, I know that in the anime, Kagome's mother was never given a name so for my story her name will be Mizuki Higurashi, maiden name Oshiro.
Disclaimer: I do not, nor shall I ever own Inuyasha or any of it's characters. (Though I would like to) All original characters that did not appear in Inuyasha but do appear in this story are created solely from my awesome imagination and some with the help of my cousin Jessica Lowell :)

Kagome's P.O.V.
Walking into the house for the first time in months was strange. Although I had lived there most of my life, I couldn't help but look at the place differently once I knew that my father was alive. Everyone gathered in the living room, aside from Shippo who found something to play with elsewhere, while my mother and I made tea.
"Where is grandpa?" I asked.
"The school finally asked him to give a class about the shrine's history." She replied with a smile.
"I hope Souta doesn't have to take it…" I mused.
"They should be home in the next hour." She said, handing me a tray of cups.
Better get this talk over with before he gets home… I walked into the living room to set down the tray and immediately noticed Inuyasha staring at me while the others tried to figure out what the television was.
"That's a television.. Basically people act out a story and that story is played in a moving picture and the moving picture is shown on the screen.." Sitting down as I explained, they all stared up at me like I was crazy.
"I wonder if my show is on…" Inuyasha said absent mindedly, looking towards the TV.
"Kagome, I generally don't think anything of the stories you tell me about this time but that sounds crazy.." Isamu claimed as he and Miroku watched my mom walk into the room.
"Mrs. Higurashi, thank you for allowing us into your home. I must say, now I see where our dear Kagome got her beauty." Miroku was suddenly as my mother's side.
"Miroku…" Sango sent death vibes throughout the house and everyone visibly shivered. Miroku was at her side in seconds though..
"Ignore him Mom." I said.
"Kagome, I think you have some things to explain to us remember?" Inuyasha became impatient.
"Right… from the beginning then." I started. "Once I started training in Miko-Mura, I began having headaches and strange dreams about Kikyo and Midoriko. Lady Aimi thinks it's because I was in such a pure place. I found out that they are visions from the spirits of the deceased protectors of the jewel."
"Why did you pass out though? Didn't you say that you get the vision's in dreams?" My mother asked. She catches on quick…
"Actually I get them all the time, not just in dreams… That was the first time I have passed out from one though." I glanced at everyone's faces. "I'm assuming it's because of what I was told in the vision that made me so vulnerable."
"What did they show you in the vision?" Inuyasha asked nervously.
"They don't really show me anything.. It's more like a meeting with them inside my head as crazy as that sounds." I told him.
"So what did they tell you?" Miroku asked.
"They told me.. They told me that my father is alive…" I said, looking at my mother's shocked expression.
"I thought he died when you were a child.." Sango said.
"So did we.. It turns out that he is from your time." I told them, paying close attention to my mother.
They all looked at me and then looked deep in thought and that changed to looking at each other slowly to make sure they all understood. I'm always friends with the slow ones…
"You mean to tell me that the man I was married to for 8 years was from 500 years in the past and never told me about it?" I could see the hurt in my mother's expression as she said this.
"I'm sorry Mom, but it's true… A demon attacked Miko-mura looking for the Princess Kagome from the Northern Lands. I don't know all of the details but Kikyo met one of his underlings before she… died. So she confirmed that Lord Katsurou is my father." I told her.
As my mother stood and left the room, Sango stopped me from following after her.
"Kagome why don't you let me go and talk to her instead?" Sango pleaded.
"Okay." I replied, still wrapping my head around the whole thing when I had a sudden realization. "Sesshomaru said…"
"Sesshomaru said what?" Miroku eyed me curiously.
"Yea! Sesshomaru said what?!" Inuyasha became jealous for a moment.
"He said that the Lord of the Northern Lands is a fox demon…" I said numbly.
Mizuki Higurashi's POV
Why wouldn't he just tell me? Instead he just left and let me think he was dead… He let my children grow up without a father.
"Mrs. Higurashi?" Kagome's friend called from behind me.
"Sango right?" I asked drying my tears as I turned around.
"Yes… I just wanted to say, I know something about loss and what you are going through" She started. "Not exactly the same but what I am trying to say is don't blame Kagome. She lived most of her life thinking that her father was dead too and she is just as shocked as you are."
"Thank you Sango… You are a good friend to my dear Kagome." I hugged the girl and we both walked back to the living room.
"He said that the Lord of the Northern Lands is a fox demon…" Kagome said looking a bit green.
My husband was a demon?!
Kagome's POV
My companions gaped at me with wide eyes while the rest of the group rejoined with questioning looks.
"A fox demon?!" Everyone exclaimed in unison.
"Yea but wouldn't that make me a half demon if he really were my father?" I asked Inuyasha when everyone started talking about it.
"There is no way my husband was a demon and I didn't know about it." My mom said.
"When did Sesshomaru tell you that?!" Isamu asked.
"Isamu you were sleeping." I told him.
"I sleep through everything don't I?" He pouted.
"If your father was a demon I'm sure your grandfather would have sensed something." Miroku said with complete faith.
"You clearly haven't met my father young monk…" My mother lowered her head.
"Not only that but I think we would know if Kagome was a half demon…" Sango pointed out the obvious.
"You're not his kid then because you would definitely be a half demon." he replied looking confident.
"Isn't that what I just asked you?" I mumbled at his aloofness.
"I'm pretty sure i just said that too…" Sango deadpanned.
"Idiot…" Shippo chimed in with Kirara mewing in agreement again.
"Who are you calling an idiot?! IDIOT!" Inuyasha retorted.
"Inuyasha…" I warned.
"Wah?! Kagome! He started it!" Inuyasha argued.
"It doesn't matter who started it, you finish it! You are the adult here!" I yelled, standing up.
"Inuyasha an adult? Kagome this is no time for jokes." Shippo said with an evil glint in his eye.
"Oh I'll finish it alright…" Inuyasha stood closer to the fox.
"SIT!"
CRASH!
When the dust cleared, my mother's coffee table was splintered in half with a heap of red cloth in the middle of it moaning and groaning. My mom was standing in the kitchen doorway staring at the scene when she turned to me.
"Kagome I apologize for earlier. I should have realized that you are feeling nearly the same as me." She hugged me.
"Okay listen up." I ordered. "When we go back to the feudal era, we will travel to the Northern Lands to get some answers. For this week though lets just have fun exploring my time."
"Can we go clothes shopping?!" Sango exclaimed as she jumped to my side.
"Yes can we go clothes shopping?" Miroku put an arm around each of us.
"Listen monk… No funny business while we are here got it?!" Inuyasha threatened.
"I am excited to try this food you call ice cream!" Isamu said and everyone looked at him and then at me.
"What is ice cream?" They all asked.
Just then my grandfather and brother walked in to see Inuyasha still sitting on the broken table, Isamu and Shippo huddled discussing ice cream, Miroku with his arms around Sango and I while my mother watched it all happen.
"What kind of hooligans have you brought into my house young lady?!" Grandpa asked, Souta standing next to him snickering.
