Everyone gathered around the table at Victor's house.
"Thank God it is Friday. I need a break from dealing with those hellions at that school." Sean fell into a chair and let out a deep sigh of relief.
"I think things have been rather quiet for the last few weeks. It is a little nerve wracking to tell you the truth." Owen had unbuttoned his suit jacket, but was not sitting down yet.
"Don't jinx it Mr. B." Luke was piling pizza onto a plate as he spoke.
"Sorry Mr. Taylor. Since we are all here, I thought it might be a good chance to check in. Anyone have something to share or address?"
There were head shakes and a few 'no sirs'. Owen looked at me and crooked his eyebrow up in question. I knew what he was asking, he had talked to me about it during our music lesson today. He wanted to know how the first round of dates went. Not so much the dates exactly, but how I thought it went in terms of dating all of them. I nodded at him, telling him it was okay to share what I told him. He wanted me to be the one to say it, but I told him I would never be able to do it without growing red and stuttering through it. Owen cleared his throat getting everyone's attention back.
"I spoke to Miss Sorenson today, about our potential relationship." Owen looked at me and I saw the hint of his millimeter smile before he continued. "I believe other than a few missteps in the beginning everything went rather smoothly considering." I saw Nathan look down at his hands, then back up at Owen.
"As long as there are no objections from anyone else, we are going to continue to grow our relationship together." He nodded at me again before looking around the table. Luke smiled "Awesome, I am so pumped for our second date Cupcake!"
"Wait! I have an objection." Gabriel had stood up and put his hands on his hips. I looked at Meanie, he objected? He didn't want to date me anymore? I thought he was the one that supported it the most. I saw that some of the other guys had the same reaction. North stood up and I could see he was ready to yell. Meanie waved his hands in the air. "No wait. It's not what you think." He looked at me and smiled. "I want a first date do over, since it was so abruptly interrupted the first time." I smiled, relieved that he still wanted to date me. I heard a few guys laugh, but I couldn't look around the table, my eyes were locked with Meanie's eyes.
"I agree." It was the first thing I said since Owen started talking. Meanie smiled at me and sat back down.
"Well now that we have that settled, on to the next topic. Miss Sorenson?" Owen looked at me and nodded. I was up. I told him that I had a few questions for everyone, but didn't tell him what they were.
I cleared my throat and squirmed in my seat a little, a little nervous now that they were all staring at me. "Well, I want to hear the story on how you became an Academy team and then I want to know what happened at boot camp." Everyone was silent. I saw Nathan smile, he knew I wanted to ask these questions, he had encouraged me to ask when we were all together. Slowly everyone looked from me, up to Owen. He looked around the table and locked eyes with me. He nodded and sat down.
"Those are fair questions Miss Sorenson. I would grab a piece of pizza, it might take a while to get through the whole story."
THE END.
