Episode 29: Porui: Narukami's Scar

Konan had his arms tied up behind his back with some special rope. Yushiro had come to pick him up. He seemed really tired.

"No, no, no! I want to be with you, Al-nee!" Konan screamed kicking his legs up and down.

"Leave him… to me…" Yushiro sighed opening up a dimensional portal. He grabbed the whining boy by the back of his shirt and dragged him in along with him.

"Al-nee!" he then glared at Yushiro and back towards the rest of the team, "I'll be back! You guys just wait!"

Alsius laughed nervously as the two disappeared.

Matatagi looked at the letter he reeived form the raven-haired boy. Apparently from his brothers, Yuuta and Shun.

"I guess Yushiro's doing something on earth…" Narukami tried to get a glimpse of Matatagi's letter however, the striker moved it away from him.

"Hey Alsius, who's LunA?" Matatagi frowned.

"She's the one who transformed in the dragon." Alsius noticed the striker's puzzled look and remembered he went berserk at that time. "She was the other forwards on the Arcania, girl with long red hair."

"Hm? What's she doing earth?"

Han started to chuckle, "She's always doing things without Xion's permission."

"Haha…" Minaho giggled, "You Melfen are full of character."

In the tropical planet of Porui. A brown dog-like boy ran through the forest. His long tail wagged behind him and his floppy ears twitched once in a while to survey what was ahead.

He reached the end of the trees and stopped before a cliff. The boy closed his eyes and the cries of agony of the people's in the planet were arried in the wind. Sitting down, he curled his long fluffy tail around his own body and let the tears fall down his cheek.

He suddenly picked up a loud roaring sound from the sky and pricked up. The birds in the forest flew upwards startled by whatever it was.

The boy got up and started running higher up, in hope of getting atleast a glimpse of what was cuasing this sound. A blue train flew down from the clouds, smoke steamed out from it. The vehicle attempted to land smoothly.

Gaping in amazement, the wiped his tears dry, "Earth… Eleven…" he smiled.

"We'll split up to look for a town or city which we can buy some parts for the ship." Shindou instructed splitting the team to 5 groups.

Shindou, Ibuki, Konoha and Kusaka went up north.

Alsius, Matatagi and MInaho went east, deeper into the forest.

Zephyr, Tetsukado, Tsurugi and Manabe went down south.

Mizukawa, Komori, Aoi and Sakura stayed behind.

And finally, Tenma, Narukami and Han, headed west towards the mountains.

"Ouch…" Narukami grunted as he rubbed his neck.

"What's the matter?" Han chuckled.

"I think I just got stung by a bee…"

"We just got out!?"

"Uwah… it's all red, you alright?" Tenma gasped.

"Yeah…" Narukami mumbled.

A large lake stretched before Alsius, Matatagi and Minaho. The bugs and birds sang around them and the sun beamed down harshly.

"Are we going to have to walk all the way around?" Matatagi sighed when he saw the water.

"Do we have a choice?" Minaho replied.

Alsius grinned and stepped on the water. As her foot made contact, the water benath instantly froze. "I don't think so," she smiled, "I can freezed the water around myself so, don't get too far away."

"Wow!" Minaho gasped and stepped onto the ice without a second thought. While in the other hand, Matatagi seemed unsure at first but, eventually did the same. Surprisingly the ground was very stable.

"Okay, let's go!"

"What's with this planet…" Ibuki growled in frustration. He, Shindou, Kusaka and Konoha have found a town however, all the citizens there were just laying around the sides of the street, doing nothing. None of the stores were open either. When they tried to talk with them, they couldn't understand them. These people spoke an alien language.

The people here resembled mammals such as, dogs, cats, rabbits and foxes. Their facial features were close to human though their bodies were covered with fur, had animal ears, paws and long tails.

Besides the people there was one more noticeable feature to this planet, the extremely large tree. Its branches stretched over the entire city, providing shade for its people.

"We can't make any progress here…" Shindou sighed finally, "Let's head back for now and think of a plan."

"Hot…" Han groaned trying to fan himself.

"It is…" Tenma nodded. "Narukami, are you alright?"

Narukami fell to his knees. His hand was still on his neck.

"Hey, Naoto getup!" Han said wiping some sweat off his own face. He walked over to the white-haired boy to help him up.

Suddenly, Narukami wrapped his hands around Han's neck and pushed him down to the ground. The grip tightened around his neck and he tried to get free, though the white-haired boy completely overpowered him.

"Na…o?" Han choked.

Tenma didn't understand what was happening. He quickly ran over to them and tried to pull the keeper off of Han. However, Narukami didn't even budge or even seem to notice the captain's presence.

"Narukami, what are you doing!?" Tenma gasped.

"It's your fault… your fault HAN!" Narukami screamed as he tightened the grip around the boy's neck. "If you weren't born… Haku wouldn't of, Haku wouldn't of…!"

Han's eyes widened at those words and he stopped resisting.

"Han?" Tenma gasped.

"Get away from him!" a voice cried out. The young dog boy jumped down from the trees. He put some mask over Narukami's nose and mouth, causing him to fall asleep.

Han coughed as he was released from Narukami's grip. Tenma pulled the knocked out boy off of Han.

The dog kid inspected Narukami's neck, "Yup, he was stung by a Kurobachi. Their poison has the effect of putting people under an illusion. It brings up the hatred buried in one's heart.

Han didn't say anythihg and avoided eye contact with his captain.

"Thanks… you are?" Tenma asked.

"Ygg's name's Ygg." He smiled, tail wagging, "You guys are earth representative, right?"

"Y-yeah…" Tenma was still confused with what had just happened to leisurely talk with the alien.

"We should return for now…"

"Oh yeah!" Ygg remembered, "I would keep those two away from each other for a while. The white will attack unwillingly at sight of the blue one."

"C-could you come with us for a bit?"

"Sure!" Ygg smiled and his floppy ears pricked up slightly.

Han did not say a word since Narukami attempted to choke him to death. Bruises were visible on his neck which he tried to hide with bandages.

Tenma had many questions to ask him but, refrained from asking them. It seemed Han himself was in great shock as well.

Finally, everyone had returned with only Shindou's group actually finding a town.

"Of course," Ygg sighed, "There is only one town in this entire area. We aren't really a big race."

"Who is he?" Shindou asked, "He's from this planet… wait, you can understand us?"

"Heh, heh, Ygg's special! Ygg can speak language outside our people!" he laughed.

"Why's he here?" Shindou asked looking at his captain.

Tenma explained what had happened with Narukami and Han.

"He mentioned you, Alsius. Do you know anything?"

Alsius flinched and looked as if deep in thought. She finally spoke, "N-not everything but, I'll tell you what I know, captain." She peered around, "Only to you though."

"…Okay."

Tenma and Alsius were alone in one of the rooms. Alsius took a deep breath before starting her story.

"Tell you the truth, I actually don't know what happened between Nao or Han since I lived away from them for more than 8 years. We were reunited in the Arcania."

"Huh?" Tenma gasped, "Even though you and Han are twins?"

Alsius nodded and continued, "It probably relates to me… going away.

Tenma hesitated, "Why… why did you go?"

"In my country, Genbu, male heirs are desired. The heir is given to the first-born child, male or female, by law however. I was born few moments before Han." Alsius folded her hands, "That could be why… Nao blamed Han… From what I hear, even the smallest spark of hatred can cause it… right?"

"It seems like it…" Tenma answered nervously. He didn't know how to react to her story. "Thank-you, Alsius. For telling me…"

"If you want to know more, it's best you ask them."

"Naoto…" Tetsukado entered the room Narukami was locked up in.

"Shin…" Narukami forced a smile, "I heard what I did… haha… I don't remember otherwise… I thought I got over that… feeling."

Tetsukado sat down.

"I know it's not Han's fault… and I blame myself for what happened more than anything…" Narukami put his hand over his head where his scar was hidden.

"Argh!" Tetsukado yelled, "Stop being so negative! Naoto!" he pointed his finger at the boy.

"Uh… Yes?"

"If something's bothering you, tell someone! Stop keeping everything to yourself. That's what friends are for!"

Narukami looked away, "Someone like me… who can't save one friend… isn't allowed to have friends. I don't deserve such luxury…"

Tetsukado clenched his fists. Without saying anything else, he left Narukami alone.

It was dinner time. The member each took their own plates and took a seat at the tables. Narukami, Han and Alsius weren't present.

Ygg, the dog alien, sat next to Tenma with only a glass of water. He noticed Tenma's worried face. "Tenma, you okay?"

"Just worried…"

"They seem like they're not earthlings." Ygg pointed out, "Why worry about them?"

"That's of course cause we're a team. Race or planet doesn't matter."

Ygg smiled widely and his tail wagged happily, "I knew you'd way that!"

"Huh?"
