Episode 30: Porui: Lost Planet's Last Hope
"Sorry, Ygg's the only one speak to other races…"
"I… see…" Tenma sighed.
Behind the captain, Shindou, Ibuki, Matatagi and Zephyr followed closely. They were heading back to the town Ibuki's group found and getting the necessary parts to fix the broken Galaxy Notes.
"Hey, do you think they'll want to be paid for the parts?" Ibuki realized.
"Probably…" Shindou nodded.
However Ygg shook his head, "Don't worry, money no use to us anymore…"
Tenma exchanged confused glances with Shindou. Soon they arrived at a mechanic's shop. Ygg opened the door without knocking or calling for anyone inside.
"Hello…?" Tenma called, but there was no one inside the shop.
Turning the lights on, Ygg stared to search for the parts. "C'mon, look!" he nagged the others to help him.
"I-is this your place…?" Matatagi asked as the dust rose when Ygg moved the pieces around. "Its so dirty…"
"Of course not."
The team fell silent. The captain finally spoke up, "So… we're stealing?"
Ygg stopped what he was doing and looked up at the captain, frowning, "Just taking what not needed. Useless to them."
"I see perfectly fine parts. I don't know why they wouldn't need them." Shindou argued.
Ygg continued frowning, "Didn't see people of this planet? What caused depression?"
Tenma thought for a bit and remembered the moments after the games they have played against the alien teams. "Did… your planet lose…?"
The other members gasped at that realization.
Ygg grinned, "Don't just stand around. Look for parts you need."
"…Yeah…"
"Oh yeah… Tenma!" Ygg exclaimed, "Ygg wants to show something. Follow!"
He jumped out of the store. Tenma looked unsure but followed as he was told anyways. After walking a while, he realized the alien brought him to the foot of the giant tree.
Tenma didn't realize how large the tree actually was. Even looking up at it; its leaves seemed to never end.
"This tree gives planet, life." Ygg started and Tenma nodded signalling that the boy may keep talking.
"When Faram Obieus takes planet, tree too must be destroyed."
"Huh? Why?"
The boy chuckled, "People here not reproduce like most other races." Ygg led Tenma inside a small hole on the side of the tree. At the end was a roomy chamber which glowed blue on its bark walls. Indents were seen in the walls with and egg in each.
"W-wait… are these all…?"
"Yup," Ygg grinned, "these kids, never see world though…"
Tenma clenched his fists, "Why are you showing me this…?"
Ygg looked the captain in the eye, "Princess Katra, you know?"
Tenma was shocked to hear the princess of Kiel's name from this alien. He slowly nodded his head.
"Shards… how many you have…?"
"…two."
"Guardon and Ratoning… last two there. Both opponents of Earth Eleven…"
Tenma frowned, "How do you know about her?"
"Ygg talked to Katra long ago, before planet gone… She told Ygg then…" Ygg grabbed Tenma's hands tightly, "Ygg wants to help; Ygg wants to save Porui! Katra told me… shards, hope!"
Tenma didn't know how to answer the alien's request. Ygg's eyes were filled with confidence and strength making it nearly impossible for the Captain to decline.
"Soccer Ygg can play! Ygg help lots!"
The train was safely repaired and set out towards Guardon, the next planet. Ygg was able to get permission from Coach Kuroiwa and joined the team.
"Han…?" Shindou knocked and opened the door to the keeper's room. "I brought riceballs, you haven't eaten since yesterday."
"I don't' need them…" Han mumbled. He was sitting on his bed with his blanket over his head like a cocoon. The lights were turned off, so Shindou switched them on and placed the food on the table next to the bed.
"Still bothered?"
"Don't want to talk."
Shindou sat himself on the side of the bed. "Sometimes I wonder why I was so blessed to be born to such a nice family and privelaged to do the things I love most."
Han looked up.
"But then someone told me, 'You have won the lottery of life. You have been given something great. It's not your fault or anyone else's fault. Use the privileges you have been given, not for yourself, but for others.' Han, what you need to do is not sit around here moping. Remember what you can do."
Han looked down at his hands, deep in thought.
Smiling, Shindou got up to leave the keeper alone. As he closed the door behind him, Shindou noticed Tsurugi walking out of his room and called out to him.
"S-Shindou-san…!" Tsurugi seemed worried for a sec, but then returned to his normal, calm composure.
"We'll count on you the next game." Shindou said quickly and watched as the ace striker walked away, "Something's definitely not right…" he mumbled.
Alsius breather heavily as she grabbed a bottle of water. She took a last look at the destroyed boulders before they disappeared, returning to the normal Black Room.
Someone entered the room. It was Ibuki.
"You practicing too?" he asked.
"Something like that." Alsius grinned, "I'm done though, so you can keep the room to yourself."
"Hey Alsius… do you mind… helping me?"
Alsius stared, surprised at the white-haired keeper. If she remembered correctly, he preferred to practice solo, he must be really troubled. "I'll help." Alsius agreed as Ibuki started to set up the program.
"Can you shoot with your soul?"
"Hm… no and yes."
"Huh? What do you mean?"
Alsius sneered, "You'll know soon enough."
"Ibuki-kun, what kind of training were you doing?" Aoi sighed angrily as she bandaged him up.
"Just in the Black Room…"
"That's strange," Manabe pointed out, "I don't believe there was a program in there that could inflict the injuries you are being treated for."
"…whatever…" Ibuki glared.
"Do you have any idea, Alsius?" Minaho asked smiling slyly.
Alsius glanced slightly from her manga, quickly sliding back to it, "Nope."
That didn't convince the detective though he did refrain from asking any more questions.
