Holly was careful to direct her eyes off to the left and slightly below her opponent, but she found she was having trouble not looking at her.
Come on, she scolded her eyes. Is she really that pretty?
Yes, her eyes replied. But you know that's not why we're doing this.
I thought I was immune to possession. Surely this has to count, right? How can she do this to me?
"That was a clever call, ye sly little firebrand," cooed Morrigan, floating closer, her wings calm compared to the furiously-beating mechanical ones strapped to Holly's back. "Ye told your friends to go fight their matches… so we could be alone. Oh, ye've lost all control, haven't ye?"
Holly backed up, clenching her fingers tighter around her Neutrino's trigger. "No, that is not the reason-"
"Then why else would ye choose to fight me on your lonesome? Ye know ye cannae beat me yourself, since last time ye let razor-blades nick me bloody wings off!"
"I'm not sorry about that," Holly added, snapping her blaster up to fire into the Succubus' face. Morrigan winced slightly, but seemed otherwise unaffected.
"Holly, be reasonable. I thocht we could get along."
D'Arvit, she's right. Without Mikasa's help, I would have lost against her… and that's exactly where I am now.
Morrigan inched closer, and Holly had to once again avert her eyes. "And… what would make you… think that?" she asked through labored, nervous breaths, the result of an artificially-smitten heart.
"Because ye like me," giggled Morrigan, dashing forwards to grab Holly by the wrist. The elf could not protest as her opponent slowly guided her arm back down, slipping the Neutrino into its holster. When it wasn't a punch or a kick, a touch from the demon was a nearly-overwhelming sensation, a warmth that raced across her skin and sent Holly into a stupor.
This is bad. Really bad. But it feels so nice.
Holly's subconscious continued to object as Morrigan pulled her closer, wrapping her in a deceptively affectionate embrace. Soon, the elf began to feel like a security guard watching a feed of a heist- her body simply no longer would respond to her desperate pleas to escape. She could only list off the functions it would not perform while under Morrigan's spell. Among them was forming coherent sentences.
"Eh heh heh," she mumbled nervously, her lips hanging open as her eyes wandered from Morrigan's face to elsewhere. A soft hand gently wrapped around her cheeks and chin, adjusting her focus and closing her mouth.
"Ye see, usually when I encounter someone, they fall for me right there, and we flutter off to some secluded nook and consummate the de'il out of our newfound relationship. But ye've done somesuch a little different, na? We never got a wee chance to… seal the deal, if ye know what I mean."
Morrigan pinched Holly's lips back open and slowly began to advance her face closer, her own mouth drifting open. What little was left of Holly's mind twisted itself over, looking for a solution. Could she maybe muster enough strength to grab her Neutrino again? Even if a full-power shot wouldn't hurt Morrigan, it'd at least distract her. But her fingers wouldn't respond, and her arm was folded under the Succubus' own, wonderfully perfect limb. There was no escape.
"Am I… interrupting something?"
The moment thankfully shattered, Holly and Morrigan turned to find Ryuko hovering nearby.
"Save me," squeaked the elf.
"Are you sure? 'Cause it looked like you two were about to…"
"SAVE ME," repeated Holly, more enthusiastically.
"Hey, whatever, I'm not going to judge your relationship or anything," shrugged Ryuko, before blasting forward and swinging her Scissor Blade's hand guard into Morrigan's forehead. The Succubus released her grip on Holly, who fluttered away, looking rather confused.
"Thanks, Ryuko," she gasped.
"Don't worry, Holly. Your secret is safe with me. And Senketsu. Maybe you should let me take care of the backache queen."
"My head is what's aching, ye scabby wee eejits!"
"I'll go check on Katniss or something," said Holly, breaking into a dive toward the ground.
The Succubus rubbed her forehead contemptuously, taking a moment to survey her new opponent. As she did, her face lifted from pain to intrigue.
"Oi, what's this? Did ye crash through a bondage shop on the way 'ere?"
"No," snapped Ryuko. "This is Senket-"
"Well, Ey've a thing for birds in straps! Tho' I cannae help but wonder what I'd look like in that getup, hmm? Maybe if ye slipped out of it for a minute or twainty."
"How about I don't," the girl snarled, feeling heat rising in her cheeks. She was certain it was anger, but her Kamui thought otherwise.
Ryuko, your heart rate is increasing, and you are putting out a lot of endorphins. Are you feeling well?
"I'm feeling fine, Senketsu-"
And there's an unusual amount of blood flow towards your-
"FEELING FINE, SENKETSU!"
"If ye won't take it off, then I'll have to," pouted Morrigan.
"It ain't happening, either way."
"If I can't play dress-up, I'll have to settle for a fight," grinned the demon. "Although, that usually gets me better than anything else!" She clenched her fingers closed and aimed her fist towards Ryuko, using her free arm to brace the extended one. "Soul Fist!"
A bat-like burst of energy fired from her hand, and Ryuko's Scissor blade easily tore the projectile apart. She did not, however, anticipate the explosion, which knocked her back into a spin. When she recovered, all she could see was a green-and-purple blur before a much more physical fist buried itself under her chin.
"Shadow Blade!" called Morrigan, rolling away from the uppercut in a dramatic flourish. Ryuko sailed upward, quickly righting herself.
She's way stronger than I thought… but nothing we can't handle.
The Succubus raced up to Ryuko's altitude, and swung a heeled boot towards the girl's neck. Ryuko raised her left arm to block the attack, and used her right to send the blunt end of the Scissor Blade into Morrigan's gut. The demon jolted backwards with a cry of pain, which quickly transformed into giddy laughter.
"Oh, yes, that's perfect," she moaned. "Don't stop!"
"It's like I always end up with the weird ones," muttered Ryuko, before fulfilling Morrigan's request.
