Chapter 9
The attack was over in seconds, but he was left gasping for air in the middle of platform 9 and three-quarters. His ribs felt like a boa constrictor had gotten a hold of him preparing to dine, but the smile wouldn't leave his face. Though it constantly amazed him how such a small girl had such upper-body strength, the truth was that these moments of close physical contact were precious, something he longed for everytime he saw her. It was a great ending to the first summer he spent without the Dursleys or Voldemort, and even if it hurt him just a little bit - which he would never admit out loud - he cherished his "Hermy hugs" very much.
"Hey Hermione," he said once he had regained his breath, "happy to see me?"
