Episode 37: Dorudella: Planet of Disaster

In pursuit of the abducted Shindou, Earth Eleven had arrived on the small aquatic planet of Dorudella. Dorudella was rumoured to house fish-like people which live life near fresh water.

"This is strange…" Zephyr sniffed the air, "This planet's supposed to be full of water. I don't smell any."

"If you look, you can tell easily." Matatagi frowned, "The plants in the area are dying and the ground's so dry. Are you sure this is the right planet?"

Zephyr dismissed Matatagi's previous comment, "Well we can't be bothered by this planet's problems. Let's find Shindou and hurry to the next opponent's planet.

"It's dangerous for everyone to go." Han said, "We should send only one group."

"O-okay…" Tenma nodded.

Shindou didn't feel sick, however, he didn't feel well either. Though he still had control over his body, he couldn't force himself to leave this alien, Alicia's side. The gothic girl sat underneath a large umbrella admiring a small crystalized stone she held.

"Tch, how long are we staying this dying planet…" the boy next to Shindou sighed.

Shindou frowned towards him, "Who're you?"

"Nacht, just like you, her servant." The boy sneered curling his own side bangs with his hands, "Shadowborn are truly interesting aren't they. Human, yet not…"

"Shadowborn?" Shindou repeated.

It was decided that Tenma, Ibuki, Tetsukado, Ygg, Han and Zephyr would go search for Shindou. Leaving the rest of Earth Eleven behind in the Galaxy Notes, the group set out through the desert-like planet. They had prepared lots of water for their expedition.

"Tch… why do I have to go…" Zephyr cursed under his breath.

Ygg jumped up and down, not bothered by the planet's heat at all.

Han then noticed someone staggering ahead. A resident of this planet? The figure fell over and seemed to have trouble standing again.

"Hey, are you alright!?" Tetsukado hurried over towards the stranger.

It was a blue-skinned gilled alien. His body was covered with fins which swayed down his waist like robes. He had a long tunic-like fin on top of his head with a glowing tip on it. Golden rings from his side bang-like fins.

Han walked over to them, "What's one kid doing here, all alone?"

The alien boy looked up at Han eyes wide, "Something's troubling you, sir." He suddenly spoke.

"What?"

"I can feel that you have been through much pain..." The boy sat upright and carefully touched Han's cheek. Han quickly pulled away, surprised by the strange, sudden gesture. The alien boy continued, "Hurt... that's what I sense from you..."

"Sense...?" Tenma repeated.

"What!?" Tsurugi frowned as Liberta told him what had happened at the castle; Xerxes had taken the throne.

"How is that possible?" Lalaya gasped, "How can our guards be defeated so easily?"

"As a Shadowborn, he obtained the power to control people with his words..." Liberta growled, "Tsurugi you have to protect Lalaya! Xerxes is after her life."

"What are you going to do?" Tsurugi asked.

"Seems Xerxes is trying to gather the other Shadowborn to stop us from finding 'the Wild'."

"Wild?" Lalaya tilted her head to the side.

"Our planet's problem; nothing else to tell y..."

"Well, it has become my planet's problem too!" The queen pointed out, "I believe I have the right to know."

Liberta scratched his head, "fine..."

He thought for a bit as if to process what to say, "Have you heard of the Seven Deadly Sins?"

"Yeah." Tsurugi nodded, "Wrath, Greed, Sloth, Lust, Gluttony, Envy and Pride, right?"

Liberta continued, "In Melfelse, there are seven demons which represent each of the Sins, they tormented our people until the Hero Zed sealed them about 1000 years ago."

"I don't see the connection..." Lalaya frowned.

"The demons are originally people with a strong evil soul, when a Tenebrae devoured such soul the person revived as a demon. Currently all seven demons have awakened in Melfelse." Liberta explained. "The Arcana No. 0, Wild is said to be the Hero Zed's Arcana; the person chosen by them holds the power to seal the demons once again."

"Uh..." The queen continued frowning.

"Anyways, the reason we travelled the galaxy with Earth Eleven was mainly to search for the chosen one. The Shadowborn are attempting to prevent that."

Tsurugi nodded, "I understand, but what brought you to Faram Obieus...?"

"Y-you get it, Tsurugi!?" Lalaya gasped.

"Eh, don't like doing things according to the book." The blond boy sighed. "Just was having some fun... Anyways, stay out of Xerxes' sight! He's a jet black haired boy, a little taller than me, with long elf ears."

"Long ears!? Faram Obieus people have those too!" Tsurugi stated, "What does he wear?"

"Hmm... He exposes his belly, has large golden rings on his ears, and thick black eyeliner!" Liberta smiled.

Lalaya frowned, "Exposes belly!? Is he crazy?"

"I'm pretty sure the other Shadowborn will gather here soon... Make sure Lalaya stays away from them." Liberta instructed. He put his hood over his head and started to leave.

"Leave it to me..." Tsurugi nodded.

Lalaya looked confused and terrified, "are they really going after my life?" She mumbled finally.

Tsurugi looked down at the princess, "don't worry, Lalaya, I'll protect you."

Lalaya smiled, "Yeah! If Tsurugi's protecting me, I'll have no worries."

In a faraway planet...

A young man lay sleeping in the fields, strange eye mask covering his eyes. A soft beeping noise rang from his communicator and he reluctantly grabbed it.

"This is Xerxes, Hilbert, I want you to come immediately to Faram Obieus." The voice said.

"Ngh..." Hilbert groaned, "Why all the way there...? I did what you told me already..."

"It'll be an instant if you warp. See you then." Click, the communicator shut off.

Hilbert kept his eye mask on and continued to lay there, "What a drag..."

Xerxes looked down onto Faram Obieus from the castle, "So Earth Eleven has to defeat one more opponent before coming here?"

Ozlock was standing behind the Shadowborn, "exactly..." He nodded, "I expect great work from you."

"Iksaaru... To think the people of that planet still continued to live..." Xerxes grinned slyly, "Well, only 4 of the 7 Shadowborn were willing to assist...and that's including myself. I never thought Konan would decide to side with them..."

"I'm still quite confused about your planet's system... The Shadowborn especially interest me." Ozlock spoke.

Xerxes chuckled as he walked over to the alien, "Are you sure you want to know, Ozlock...?" He whispered into his ear in a husky voice.

A cold shiver ran down Ozlock's spine and he grinned at its feeling. "I'm counting on your work, demon." He added before walking away to continue his job as Tournament committee.

Xerxes frowned at the alien unimpressed. Bidway Ozlock... He's a dangerous man.

"Ara~ Xerxes, long time no see!" A large breasted woman in revealing clothing walked towards the boy. She lifted his chin and smiled seductively.

Xerxes was uninterested, "Half a year isn't that long... at least to you, Latelle. Still annoying as ever."

"Hmf, a little pipsqueak like you wouldn't understand how simply attractive I have become." Latelle chuckled.

"Don't care, granny." Xerxes snorted, "Did you get any information on the Wild?"

Latelle frowned, but answered his question, "Not 100% yet, but have an idea who it might be..."

"Good enough." Xerxes smiled, "I wonder what Liberta-kun is going to do now that he knows I am here."

"Ooh, Liberta-chan here?" Latelle squealed, "I can't wait to see him again!"

"Careful, we need him alive, so don't go overboard like last time." Xerxes grinned.

"Hm... I thought we had it easy by not having to win the finals to save the planet." Rodan sighed as he leaned back in the chair of the spaceship they were riding on.

Konan started chuckling, "C'mon, it would've been waay to simple, I think this'll be much more exciting."

"Ratoniik, huh..." Rodan grinned, "I don't mind seeing that Ozlock's face when their plan fails."

Konan finished pressing the buttons, "Okay, we're going to warp now! Buckle up!"

"Why did you bring me here?" Shindou finally asked the gothic girl.

She tilted her head and chuckled, "I was just traveling around and thought you were a nice guy to have."

"Huh?"

"You're very cute, that's why I took you." She stated simply.

Shindou got more questions than answers, but he knew one thing; this girl, Alicia, was crazy.

Nacht whispered, "Don't bother getting answers from a Shadowborn. They're just a bunch of raged weirdoes."

"I see..."

Han stared dumbfounded by this alien's words, "Troubled? Hurt? Me?"

The blue gilled boy just smiled softly as he held Han's hand carefully, "Pain for someone else, isn't something to be ashamed of Feyra boy. I think what you..." Before he finished his sentence, the Dorudella boy fainted.

"Hey!?" Han gasped angrily as the boy fell on top of him.

Tetsukado moved the boy off.

Ygg put his paw over the alien's forehead, "He's completely dehydrated and probably went without food for a few days already." He gasped. Ygg immediately took his own water bottle out and poured some of it into the alien's mouth.

"What are you doing!?" Zephyr growled.

"Giving him a drink." Ygg answered.

The boy let out a cough and then sighed with relief, "Thank-you, kind Poruis..."

"I've seen you before!" Ygg suddenly realized, "Prince Suigetsu-Water Ellipse! What are you doing out here?"

"Haha, at this planet's current state, my title is no more... just call me Water." The boy laughed sadly, "As you can see, our planet's on the verge of destruction; without water, our people cannot survive. I was travelling to the Mystic Cavern, the core of this planet."

"Mystic Cavern?" Tenma repeated.

Water nodded, "Something must have happened to the Tear... I was travelling with Scarlet, but I seem to have been separated from her."

"Captain! We have to hurry and find Shindou!" Ibuki growled, "We don't have time to worry about this planet's problems."

"Hey, Ibuki!" Tetsukado snapped.

"No, no. He is correct. I am thankful for the water you have given, however, I don't desire to bother you any further." Water slowly tried to stand. Though his legs refused to support him.

"Can't we just help him until the he reaches the Mystic Cavern place…?" Tenma whispered to his teammates.

"What?" Zephyr gasped.

Tetsukado grinned, "That's our Captain! I totally agree with you; let's help him."

"What about Shindou?" Ibuki growled.

"I'm worried about Shindou-senpai too, but Shindou-senpai would've tried to help him." Tenma blurted. Without waiting for anyone else to agree, he and Tetsukado ran over to Water.

"Tenma Matsukaze… I see why Katra chose you…" Ygg whispered as he followed them.

Episode 38 preview

As Tenma's group travels to the Mystic Cavern with Water, the Galaxy Notes get a visitor from Dorudella's Royal Guard. And this person has a blue Pixie!? Meanwhile, Shindou hears of Alicia's past and death… Episode 38: Dorudella: Servant's Wish.

Yay... another original planet XD More about its culture and people will be introduced next.

Sorry if the whole 'Shadowborn' people were confusing... If it needs more explanation, don't hesitate to ask... but some of it might get answered the next chapter...?
