Bella's Pov (present day)

I quickly backed away from it; even though I know they wouldn't hurt me…you can never be too sure. Carlisle noticed and spoke, "I won't use it on you Bella you know that" he said; I gulped hard. Edward came to me and wrapped his arms around me keeping me safe, "no wonder he wants it so badly" I said to myself but them being vampires they heard me.

"How can you being a 1000 year old vampire be afraid of a stake? Really that's just the make believe stuff the Volturi used on the humans" Emmett said laughing along with Jasper and their wives.

"For you yes but not for me" I said serious, "Bella why does your father want it so badly?" esme asked me in a motherly tone.

I left out a breath I must have been holding; "because it's the only thing that can kill an original vampire like me…and if someone where to get it they could kill me or my family" I said looking at Carlisle while I said this.

"This is the last one that I know exist Bella I can promise you that" Carlisle's tone made me believe him, "So you're going to kill one of my family members then?" I asked him in an evil tone.

"If the rumors are true then Klaus must be stopped" Carlisle spoke to me, "im sorry Bella but your father must be stopped or he will expose us all"

I knew what my father was doing changing werewolves into hybrids by force and creating minions, I shook my head, "you can't" I whispered to him tears in my eyes, "I know he's you're father Bella but if I don't do it then the Volturi will come and do it themselves" he assured me.

I kept shaking my head while Edward tried to calm me down, "you can't kill him…if you do then I will die as well" I shouted at him tears falling down my face as I spoke.

"Bella don't kill you're self over your father" Edward told me his tone like Carlisle full of authority, "it's not like I want to Edward…its…its" I took a deep breath to calm me down, "When an original vampire dies so does his bloodline, I am my father's daughter Edward…im his bloodline so if he dies I go along with him"

He kept shaking his head I heard Carlisle sigh in defeat, "Carlisle we can't" Edward begged his father, I looked at Carlisle he looked ta Esme and she looked back at him, "lets burn this stake then" he decided.

Alice made me change into something that I was actually comfortable in for a change; Edward waited for me until I finish changing he took my hand into his and we walked towards the woods into a small clearing where a fire was lighting up the dark sky.

"We're doing the right choice" Alice told him, he nodded and threw the stick into the fire, the white oak stake shot flares and I quickly ducked out of the way.

Everyone left after that…but I stayed, "Bella lets go love" Edward insisted, I shook my head and kept looking at the fire.

"what's wrong love?" he asked, I looked down, "im sorry" I said tears falling down my face, he held me as I cried onto his shirt ruining it, "what's wrong please tell me love" he kept insisting, I pulled out of our hug and cleaned my face out of tears.

"Bella" he whispered so sweetly to me, "I had to do it Edward" he looked more confused than ever; I opened my coat and reached inside and took out the.
