Bella's Pov (13th century)
I was running I had gotten separated from my family and I was scared, alone, and thirsty. I was getting dehydrated that was until I smelled it…blood.
I literally ran towards the smell and found a girl around 15 years of age, she had a small cut on her palm and she was washing it in the stream. She must have heard me because she turned around, "are you okay?" she asked scared.
I felt my face turn vampire, "I'm sorry...don't scream" I told her, and I lunged towards her neck.
I fed all of her, until I heard a growl behind me and it didn't sound like a vampire more like a human; I turned around and came face to face with a human holding a bow and arrow pointing towards my face.
He let it go and I caught it when it was close enough, "not another blood drinker" he cursed and was about to run.
"I didn't mean to kill her, I'm sorry" I told him, he just looked at me confused, "why can't the others cold ones understand me but you do" he asked still scared.
"Cold ones" I muttered under my breath, "where is your village?" I asked him, he shook his head, "so you can attack like they did no" he pulled out another arrow, "I had this one spelled by the Blacks witch"
My eyes widen, "Rebecca Black?" I asked him, he nodded but didn't lower his bow, "let's make a deal" I told him. He didn't shoot but he also didn't lower his bow down.
"What kind of deal?" he asked curiously, "I give you a way to protect yourself from the Cold ones in exchange you give me Rebecca Black" I bargained.
He thought about it, "one life for the lives of your who village and families" I sweetened the deal, he looked at me once more and nodded.
"You have a deal" he said, I smirked, "bring me Rebecca by nightfall here by the stream and I'll give you protection from the cold ones" and with that I left and went to go talk to another witch.
Billy's Pov (present day)
"Why did you go and almost attack her!" Old Quil shouted to the pack, "what deal did our ancestor's make that we broke?" Sam asked us.
We all looked at each other and sighed, "Sit" I ordered and they did.
"What did she tell you?" I started off, "she gave us the power to turn into shape shifters in exchange for Rebecca Black" Seth answered, I nodded, "but Rebecca had a daughter and in the 1920s she killed her decedent" Sam finished off.
I nodded, "what was the treaty that you never told us?' Jacob asked me, "when Taha Aki handed Rebecca over he told her family to flee, but according to old legends Bella wanted protection that when they were turned they will not hurt her in any way" I gave them all a disappointed look but continued on, "we swore and the trade was made…she also said that if the treaty was ever broken…that…that she has the spell that could take away the shifting and become normal humans as we were once before"
"What!"
"No more gene carrying or turning into wolves"
"And since the treaty's been broken I'll be taking what belongs to me back"
