Episode 46: Faram Obieus: Final Battle part 2, Tenma VS Tsurugi

Ignals couldn't help himself; finding himself drawn to watch the match, the 7th Shadowborn stood at the very top row of the spectator area. He wore a black hood and robe to somewhat hide his identity. This match would determine the outcome of this universe, every alien planet involved, has their eyes glued to the match; either here, or in their homes.

"No matter what happens... stay strong... Matsukaze Tenma."

"Tenma!"

"Tsurugi!"

The two player kicked at the ball with their might, attempting to take possession of it. The ball was flung upwards due to being hit by the same force on either side.

Tenma and Tsurugi leaped into the air for it without a second to waste.

Tsurugi, being taller, was able to get to it first, "Rodan!"

The short hooded forward from the Guardon match dribbled the ball up.

"I won't let you...!" Tetsukado unleashed his soul, transforming into a red, scarred buffalo. He charged at the Shitennou flinging him up into the air with his horns.

"Uragh!"

"Nozaki!"

The pink haired midfielder started to bring the ball up. She too, transformed into her soul. Becoming the Kamoshika, Sakura ran straight towards the opposing midfielder. A tall cliff was suddenly right behind the Faram player and Sakura leaped over them both, knocking her opponent to the ground in shock.

"Go, Matatagi!"

"Heh, of course!" Unleashing his soul, Hayabusa, the brown haired forward clenched the ball in his talons and dove towards the net.

However, Earth Eleven weren't the only ones with souls.

A soft blue light enveloped Faram's keeper as he became a large three headed blue dragon-like beast. All three heads slashed at the incoming shoot, deflecting it away.

"What...!?"

"Not finished yet." Komori jumped into the air and kicked the loose ball right back at the net. Since he had just stopped the ball, Faram's keeper tried to leap to the other side, only to barely miss the ball.

"G-goal! Earth Eleven just tied the score!"

Komori smiled, "heh, heh~"

"Nice shoot, Komori-chan!" Aoi cheered.

The Faram keeper stared in surprise at the sizzling ball. He immediately understood the power behind the kick. "What is that child...?"

The match resumed.

It was a stalemate where neither side was able to fully get past each other. The clash of souls.

Hilary unleashed her blue phoenix-like beast's soul and blinded her opponent with the luminating tails.

Then Minaho unleashed his Fukurou Soul. Suddenly Hilary's surroundings went pitch black with only the owl's large eyes visible. By the time it became light again, the ball had already been stolen.

"Kusaka-kun!"

"Haaah!" The former deliquet transformed into the Grizzly and crashed on top of his opponent.

"Matatagi!"

However, right before the ball reached their forward, Tsurugi leaped in between and cut the pass.

"What!?"

"Hmf, guess Earth is only this much..." The striker sneered. He began dribbling the ball up. "Let's show you something powerful! Ryugel, Gandales!"

The two brothers grinned.

"That combination hissatsu?" Ibuki prepared himself.

Though the keeper was wrong, it was not scream of eden they were about to shoot.

Both brothers unleashed their souls, cat-like Pelion and Belion. Both souls ran along with the ball and leaping into the air, they both slashed their tail against it in a double X shape, causing the ball to rocket towards the goal.

"Double Soul Shoot!?"

Minaho and Manabe attempted to use their souls to stop this tremendous shoot, but were only easily flung back.

The ball continued towards Ibuki who went on all fours to transform into his soul, the Mamoth. Lifting his front legs up, Ibuki stomped ontop of the incoming shoot only to be knocked aside.

"Gragh!"

"We did it, Ryugel-nii!" Gandales cheered.

"Of course. Together we are undefeatable!" Ryugel grinned, "Remember Gandales, it is important to say a catchphrase at the end."

"Ooh! That's so cool~ that's my Ryugel-nii!"

"Hmf, don't say another word, not another word~"

The brothers were like always.

"Ibuki-kun!? Are you alright!?"

The white haired keeper held his right arm in pain, but still tried to stand and keep playing.

Shindou knocked Ibuki back onto the ground, "You're in no condition to play." The brunet turned to Han, "We're switching players. You too, Minaho!"

"Ahaha... You have deduced correctly... I hurt myself a bit too..." The orange haired boy sighed, showing the swelling in his leg.

Han and Narukami took their places.

"I feel it's been a while since I played..."

"Let's do our best, Naoto!" Tetsukado grinned.

"Of course!"

The whistle blew and Matatagi quickly passed the ball back to Tenma.

Tsurugi went to stop his opponent. "Tenma!"

"Tsurugi!" Tenma growled back as he used his hissatsu, "Z-slash!"

"Hmf." Tsurugi smirked.

"Haah!" Beyond Tsurugi, Barga transformed into his soul, the Gandoran, tackling Tenma onto the ground. "Slow, you're slower than a turtle's walk!"

Tsurugi uses his teammates and despite being new to the team, understands how each of them play. But me...

"Tenma!" Shindou yelled.

The boy shook his head he shouldn't think those thoughts.

A figure watched the match from a dark room.

"The happier, the brighter a person is... The greater their despair becomes. That's no difference for you, Matsukaze Tenma." they smirked.

"Foolish aren't you for sticking around... Juke?" Xerxes stared down at the dark skinned boy.

Ignals was pinned down by Hilbert's dirt dolls and unable to move.

Xerxes chuckled, "Preparations complete... Get into position Liberta."

The tanned blond boy on the field made his way to the center of the field.

All seven Shadowborn were here and standing on different places in the stadium to create a circle around the field which Liberta was in the middle of.

"They shall face the despair... The horror we experienced in our first life!" Xerxes cackled as he put his hands out, focusing strong negative energy on his palms. The other Shadowborn did the same.

"Sorry... Rodan...!" Konan desperately tried to resist, but Xerxes spell over powered him.

Ignlas cursed his own stupidity. He should've stayed away from here.

"Darcis Matoria!"

"Captain!"

Tenma was a beat too slow, and missed the ball, again. The captain continued to make mistakes. The ball rolled out.

"Tenma..." Komori mumbled, "Is your heart that weak...?"

"Captain, get a grip!" Kusaka shouted.

"Come on, Captain!" Tetsukado yelled.

"Captain!"

"Captain."

"Captain!"

His teammate's voice echoed in the captain's mind. Everyone's counting on me. I need to get myself together. Tenma held his head. I'm the Captain.

"Everyone! We're going to win!"

Faram threw the ball back into play. The player who received it kicked it high into the air, "Tsurugi!"

The ball was lobbed towards Earth Eleven goal. Tenma wasn't going to let the striker get the ball. Leaping up into the air, the two players both kicked at the ball.

"Tenma!"

"Tsurugi!"

A dark light fell right down at the two earthlings' position.

"Heh..." Xerxes grinned.

However, a soft light striked down the dark energy and instead of the earthlings, two beasts, a white horse and black wolf, stood looking at each other. Tenma and Tsurugi had both awaken their souls.

"A failure...!?" Xerxes frowned. Instead of showing rage, the shadowborn scratched his head questioningly.

"Hmf, didn't think it'll work..."

"Fine, fine... You were right~" the black haired man sighed. "Well, this is soo embarrassing~ I'll pass the rest to you then... Ozlock. Same to you, Ojou~"

In a different room a shadowed figure was watching Xerxes and Ozlock's conversation. The figure sighed, "How useless you were... Hope that Ozlock would do a little better..."
