Horrible piano chords echoed around the HQ. I stood up and looked around. I saw an open door and Kowalski sitting at the piano. He had some sheet music and was trying to play. I walked up to him and watched. He played a couple of bad notes before I noticed that the sheet was upside down. I tapped him on the shoulder. "Let me give you some tips. One, your sheet is upside down. Two, I know you can't read so it will be very hard for you to play. Three, what are you trying to play?" I rotated the sheet and saw the title. "Ah, You'll Be In My Heart, Phil Collins. That's a good song. But why that one?"

"My mother used to sing it to me and my little brother before she passed away." He said and I smiled sadly.

"This is how you play it." I played the first few notes and then looked at Kowalski. He played the notes, but three notes lower than it should be. I shook my head, smiling, and grabbed his hands, placing them over the proper notes. I kept my hands on his and pressed his fingers down to create the first correct chord. I then did the same for the next 5 chords and the melody. "Now it goes like this." I took his hands off the piano and played the tune. I smiled at him and he smiled back. "I'll leave you to it then." I turned around but Kowalski placed his hand on my arm, preventing my escape.

"Could you teach me how to read the piano sheet music?" Kowalski asked, his green eyes shining with hope.

I nodded and pointed to the first note on the sheet, an F. "This is an F. This is the note." I played it and went through all of the other notes with Kowalski. Soon, I could test him easily. I smiled at him as he played the song. I sung along quietly. A tear slid down Kowalski's cheek and I laid my hands on his shoulders, comfortingly. "Just look over your shoulder, I'll be there, always" I sung, ending the song and he actually looked at me.

"Eve? Do you mean it?" He asked and I nodded. Leaning over, he gave me a quick kiss on the lips. The static ran right through my body and I smiled at him. "Thanks."

"Uh, no thanks necessary." I replied. He smiled and leant over the chair. I met him half way, kissing him. I could taste the sweetness of chocolate from breakfast this morning and I gently ran my hand over his head.

"WHAT IN THE NAME OF MANFREDY AND JOHNSON IS GOING ON HERE?" I heard Skipper yell. We broke away quickly and I looked at the floor. "Kowalski, your lab. I need to talk to you in private. NOW!" Skipper hissed menacingly. Kowalski quickly ran to his lab. Skipper followed Kowalski, slamming the door behind him in the process. Scared, I sat down underneath the piano. I heard a muffled yelling but I was too upset to listen. Suddenly, the door swung open and I saw Private enter. He walked up to the piano and bent down to my level. He saw my face and sat in front of me.

"What are you doing down here?" He asked.

"Skipper found Kowalski and I kissing…" I murmured. Private giggled lightly and I glared at him. "Now, Kowalski is in trouble. And, it's all my fault."

Kowalski's lab door opened and Skipper stormed out before slamming the door. He glared at me and I buried my head in my knees again. Private sat by me, rubbing my shoulder gently.

Later that day, I was watching television with Private when I saw Kowalski go onto the platform. "Uh Private? I'll be back in a minute." He nodded to me and I raced upstairs. Kowalski was pacing on the platform. "Kowalski… Kowalski…" I said. He didn't respond. Sighing, I spun him around to face me gently. "Kowalski. I'm sorry for what happened earlier. I really shouldn't have kissed you. And, I'm sorry for getting you in trouble with Skipper. I really hope it hasn't effected the team's performance or our friendship because-"

"Eve, you can stop now. It's okay." He said, grabbing my shoulders. "Skipper got a bit angry because he was surprised, that's all. Anyway, he said it's fine for us to be together, just, no conoodling when working. " He winked at me gently and I blushed.

"Thanks." I replied. "Why you up here all alone?"

"Just thinking about how we can turn us back into penguins, don't worry too much."

"Well on the bright side, at least it didn't blow up." I exclaimed, giggling. He laughed along with me and we began to make a plan to build a new invention to change us back.

Sorry for the shortness of this chapter! Cute little moment but I hope to be able to put some more Skilene in the next one!
