Chuck vs The Bracelet
Chapter 12: Fulcrum Thanks You
With Edgar on the other side, Chuck, Sarah, Casey, and Laz fight their way through waves of Fulcrum agents taking out as many as they can.
"How many more are there?" asks Casey.
"Edgar's Fulcrum doesn't really have too many agents yet. He likes to pick and choose. The best of the best only kinda crap. But in reality they kinda suck. I counted them and there should only be a few more." says Laz.
More Fulcrum agents come and attack them, in the shoot out, Casey is shot in the shoulder. "Damn it!" He yells.
"Casey!" says Sarah.
"I'm fine keep going!"
"There's only a couple more!" says Chuck.
Once all the agents are disposed of, Team B gather back together before moving forward. "Edgar shouldn't be that much farther, right?" asks Sarah.
"If I'm right, going down this hallway should lead us straight to him. But because of all the shooting, he's probably locked himself in his office. He's not going anywhere until he gets what's in that bracelet." says Laz. "The code I have on my phone should open it... Hopefully... probably."
"Okay, let's get a move on then." says Chuck.
As they walk towards the hall, Spider jumps down from one of the vents. He tells them. "I think you all have more than out grown your usefulness. Fulcrum thanks you for your service." Spider goes on to reach behind him, grabs a knife, and throws it at them.
Before it hits any of them however, Laz sticks his hand out and stops it by having it go through his hand. "Son of a bitch!" He yells as he gets wounded. "Knives? Really, Spider? That's my thing you copy cat bastard. Didn't they teach any of you to dodge in spy school?" He pulls the knife out, tosses his phone over to Chuck, and rushes Spider, tackling him. "Go! You idiots!"
While Laz handles Spider, Team B make their way to Edgar's office, reaching it in a couple of minutes. They quickly open the door with Laz's phone, and find Edgar on a computer, When he sees them, he grabs the bracelet and a gun and points it at them. They quickly do the same.
"You manged to get through my men." says Edgar as they stand-off.
"What was it you said?" asks Chuck. "Never trust a thief."
Edgar laughs and tells them. "Yeah, yeah. I can see the irony in it too. But don't worry. Laz will get whats coming to him. Soon enough."
"Give us the bracelet and put down the gun and you'll be turned over alive." says Sarah.
Edgar begins to laugh again. "Oh, oh you think this is over, don't you? No, no, no. The only way anyone is leaving is with a bullet in them."
"If you don's surrender, then your wish is gonna come true." says Casey.
"I've seen some of whats on this, you know. Your Dad, Chuck. Wow. Everyone knew he was crazy. But that man was a master at hiding information and burying the past." says Edgar.
"Stand down... now!" Chuck orders.
Edgar doesn't say anything, but he begins to glance over behind them. Sarah notices this and turns around to see another Fulcrum agent. Before the agent can do anything, She shoots the agent. As Team B are distracted, Edgar begins to make his escape. But not before letting out a couple of shots. One of which, hits Chuck in the arm.
"Chuck!" screams Sarah as she rushes over.
Casey looks over Chuck's wound, and says. "It's only a graze. You'll live. I'm the one with an entire bullet in their shoulder."
"And you're all the tougher for it, Casey." Chuck jokes as he gets up. "No really, I'm okay. Now let's get him before he gets away!" With that, they go and rush after Edgar so they can finally put an end to this crazy mission.

A/N – The short bonus chapter that follows is the continued adventures of Stephen Bartowski and Laz during their short partnership.
Bonus Chapter
Orion and I: Part II
Three weeks into their travels, Laz and Stephen have dodged bad guys, evaded governments and, in Stephens case, put up with Laz's crap. During one of their few down times, they hang out in a bar.
"Seriously. Why do you do half the things that you do?" asks Stephen.
Laz's response is just. "Why do you check the windows every ten minutes? We all do crazy things, Orion." He takes a sip of his drink before asking Stephen another question. "By the way. Are you ever gonna tell me your real name? Or am I gonna have to refer to you as a constellation for the rest of our 'partnership'?"
"You'll know it once I know yours."
Laz has a laugh, and asks him. "So you told me you were, or are, married. Right? I was kinda out of it that day to be honest. Any kids? Or are you... incapable?" He jokes.
"I may... or may not have kids." says Stephen, trying not to say too much.
"How many?" asks Laz "Wait don't tell me! Um... four? Five? Two? It's two, isn't it? Yeah it is. Two boys? Girls? No. You have the boy and girl package, don't you? I'm right. Please tell me I'm right."
Continuing to not try to divulge too much, Stephen says. "If it makes you feel better, sure. Why not." He then decides to ask Laz a question. "What about you, Laz? What about you?"
"What? What about me?"
"Anyone in your life? Family?" asks Stephen.
"Oh! Looks who's suddenly taking an interest in me!" Jokes Laz. "No. Not really. None that give a damn about me anyway."
"That must be hard." says Stephen.
"Not all the time."
"But no one?" asks Stephen.
"There were a couple of people... awhile ago. But it's been some year. There have been a few since then. But none have really stuck around. It's really different for me." Laz begins to say. "See... you have people who care when you leave... when you're gone. They miss you and talk about you fondly. And they are genuinely happy when you comeback. And when that day comes, when you're... 'gone for good', if you know what I mean, they will remember you always. For me, however, it's the opposite. When it's all said and done, I'll just... fade away."
Stephen sees that Laz is being sincere, or as sincere as Laz can be. He takes a deep breath, and says. "Stephen... my name is, Stephen."
"Stephen? Really." asks Laz.
"Yeah. Why?"
"No it's just... it's a bit of a let down. Stephen? Sounds so plain. It's like 'The great, Orion is really called... Steve'. But whatever." After a few seconds, Laz adds. "But seriously. I can't believe that worked on you."
"What?" asks Stephen.
Laz laughs and says. "I gave you a little sob story, let my 'feelings' out, and you felt so sorry for me, you gave me your real name."
"Well what I can say, at that moment you looked a really pathetic to me." Stephen Jokes. "So are you gonna tell me yours now, or what?"
Laz has another sip of his drink and tells him. "Hell no! You made me wait three weeks to find out yours and I had to manipulate you to do it. I'm not telling you mine right away."
Stephen laughs and says. "Alright, fair enough."
A few minutes go by before Laz says. "Another round!"
"No, no I can't." says Stephen.
"Come on, Stephen. We just dodged another squad of agents, we have some down time... and we're in Istanbul. One more round isn't gonna hurt you."
Stephen thinks for a second. "Okay, why not."
"Fantastic!" Laz says.
"But, just let me tell you this." says Stephen. "If I have too much, I tend to... ramble."
As the drinks arrive, Laz says. "Don't worry. I don't listen to half the things you say anyway. Whatever crazy stuff you say in your drunken state, shouldn't be all that important..."
