Hello everyone! It's been a year since I've done anything with this story, and I will now say that I am back, I think. For how long, I have no idea, but I know that I've gotten some new found inspiration and I'm ready to go. I looked over all of my story so far, and I might go back and change up some things or just ditch this premise all together and rewrite the whole thing, in a more clean cut version. I just want you guys to enjoy it the best you can.
Rito was getting ready to open fire on Angel Grove. He was back to being his giant self, but we weren't at all worried. These rangers were different than the last ones. We're stronger now. Tommy looked to us, "Time to save home." He told us, and we nodded in unison.
Again, we raised one hand into the air and energy colored in our own colors appeared. We circled our arm around and then thrusted our hands back into the air, "We need NinjaZord Power, now!" We cried.
Red Ape NinjaZord! Power Up!
Black Frog NinjaZord! Power Up!
Pink Crane NinjaZord! Power Up!
Blue Wolf NinjaZord! Power Up!
Green Fox NinjaZord! Power Up!
Yellow Bear NinjaZord! Power Up!
White Falcon NinjaZord! Power Up!
Our new zords came out of nowhere and I grinned. It felt so good to be back in control. I watched as Billy's Wolf flipped and used its tail as a blade and slash Rito. Then, Aisha's Bear stomped its front paws onto the ground, creating an earthquake. The skeleton fell forward and onto his face. Then, surprisingly, Adam's Frog and my Fox both fired from their mouths. The frog shot fire, my fox shot razor sharp icicles. Hmm, a fox in control of ice. Cool.
Kim's Crane came flying in and started shooting lasers at Rito, who got hit directly. Rocky's Ape went into action, slicing and dicing Rito with its swords. Rito fought back though, getting into a duel with the Ape NinjaZord. The Ape flipped Rito and he landed on his feet, "Not bad guys, but now it's time to introduce you to my little play toy here." Some sort of cannon type of device appeared on his arm. There were a few hoses connected to a dual container on Rito's back. He fired it, and turns out, it was a flamethrower.
The blast hit the Ape dead center, making it stumbled backwards. The Crane moved in for an attack, firing off a few lasers, but Rito blocked them with his hand before firing back at the flying bird. It hit it, making it veer off course. Tommy's Falcon flew in and fired some of its lasers, but Rito blocked them as well.
The NinjaZords all looked to each other, before running towards Rito together. The Crane's head shifted back and there was a head underneath where the original head was. My Fox and Adam's Frog both had their heads folded into their bodies so we couldn't see them and my fox's tail detached. They also straightened their bodies to that they looked like they only had one leg. Aisha's Bear brought it's legs in, like a turtle, and the Crane's head landed on it, connecting it to the Bear. The Wolf and Ape both stiffened as well and attached to the side of the Bear, becoming arms. They all landed on my Fox and the Frog, using them both as legs. My fox's tail split into two parts and they landed on either side of the head, creating green horns.
Rito smirked, "One target instead of five, I can deal with that." He commented as he fired forward.
Our new NinjaMegaZord moved towards Rito, ignoring the blasts. It felt really weird. Even though we weren't in the cockpit of the MegaZord, we still felt like we had all of the control.
Our battle robot lifted the Wolf arm and thrusted forward, us hearing the loud howl of a wolf as it hit Rito's flamethrower, knocking it away. It then punched with the Ape arm, and a growl of a monkey sounded out. It hit Rito straight in the chest, and sent him flying up into the air and he landed with a hard crash.
Tommy's FalconZord let out a loud shriek and our MegaZord jumped into the air. The large bird attached itself to the back of the MegaZord, giving it wings. Rito laughed, "So, you wanna take to the skies? I can do that."
The tanks on his back flared up and he was lifted off of the ground. Of course, he didn't do much, as the MegaZord spun around a few times in the air before slamming a foot into Rito's face. He fell back onto the ground, but we weren't finished. The NinjaFalconMegaZord went straight into a very steep nosedive, with the wings of the FalconZord glowing and sending energy to the fists of the zord.
They both landed on Rito's chest and he rolled on the ground a little bit, before he started glowing. Appearing out of no where, was a shadow of his face, holding a rose in his mouth, "Well, you know what they say; He who fights and runs away, gets to fight another day." He called out.
Once he was gone, we all turned to each other. We pulled off our Ninja uniforms, to find that our normal clothing was on underneath. I laughed, "I could so get used to these powers." I said out loud.
The rest of the gang nodded, before Aisha spoke up, "We should head to the Command Center. Maybe Alpha wants help picking up the mess." She suggested.
We nodded, and using our new power source, we teleported right away to our headquarters. As we landed, our robot buddy waddled over to us, "Rangers! I'm so glad you are okay! I had my wires in a twist because I was so worried." He cried out, grabbing Kim and hugging her. We all laughed.
"Alpha, we came here to help clean up, if you'd like that." Adam said, grabbing a piece of discarded metal. He nodded, "Yes, I would really appreciate it Adam."
Billy walked up to Alpha, "We'll deal with the electronics and all of the system recalibrations. The rest of you can pick up the debris." He told us.
We all agreed to this and soon, all of us were carrying armful upon armful of metal and broken wires and a bunch of other stuff outside to a waste dump that was a five minute walk away from the Command Center. It was me, Rocky and Adam that went with the majority of the junk, and when we got back, the area was all set and ready for Alpha and Zordon to operate again. We all looked at each other and smiled. It was finally safe to be back.
Suddenly, there was a loud beep, and Alpha looked up to Zordon, "Zordon! We have an incoming message from outside our solar system!" He cried, "Aye yi yi!"
Zordon looked down to the robot, "Alpha, play it on the Viewing Globe." He commanded.
We all gathered around said globe and watched as static turned into a figure, surrounded by blackness, so we couldn't see who it was. "Hello?!" The voice whispered, panicked. "Okay, if anyone is watching this, then finally, my message got through!" The voice was more so man-like, than anything. It was also very familiar.
"If this message gets to Earth, can you please, travel to Manchester CT, and tell my family I'm sorry." The voice asked. moving towards the camera and showing himself.
My eyes widened, "DAD!" I shouted.
Everyone looked from the Viewing Globe, to me, to the globe and then back to me. My Dad continued to speak, "I don't know what happened, but all I know is that I was coming home, when these weird alien monsters attacked me and brought me to this weird lady who is now keeping me prisoner and has plans to make me a servant to her. I wish I could just see my family one more time, just to say goodbye myself, but I can't."
There were tears welling up in my eyes. This was the first time I've even heard anything from him in six years. This was huge for me. My dad looked horrible though. He was usually a well kept man, but his hair was really long, his beard was out of control and he looked really dirty. It was so sad to see this.
"If there was anyone that I'd want to speak to the most, it would be my son, Kaleb. I'm sorry for breaking my promise." He whispered, looking like he was going to cry.
I stepped forward and placed my hand on the globe, still trying to pull myself together, "Don't be sorry. It wasn't your fault." I whispered back, even though he couldn't hear me.
"I'm just praying that this message reaches Earth. From what this lady has been talking about, a being by the name of Zordon should be stationed there. Maybe he'll get this message. If he does, Zordon, I'd like to thank you in advance for letting my family know what happened."
"HEY! WHAT'S GOING ON IN THERE!?" A woman's voice sounded out. My father looked panicked again, before quickly speaking, "Sorry to cut this short. Good bye, and maybe, I'll be able to see my family, someday."
The screen went black, and my eyes widened. I placed both hands on the black globe and shook it, "No! That can't be it! No! He can't be gone like this." I demanded. "Dad, come back!" I shouted at nothing, before falling to my knees. He couldn't be gone.
He wasn't even on Earth these past couple of years, and there was no sign of him. Police looked everywhere, but not a single clue was found. Now, a message from my father is received by Zordon and it turns out to be a goodbye from my father, who is now going to be some sort of slave to some alien lady. This couldn't be the truth.
I felt someone, or maybe I should say somebodies, kneel down and wrap me up into a hug. I didn't know who, as I just sobbed. My vision was blurry, and my thoughts were just a mess.
"Kaleb." I heard Zordon say. I tried standing up, but my legs wouldn't work, so I felt two people pull my arms, so that I was using them as balance. I wiped my eyes with my shirt, and looked around. Tommy and Billy were the ones holding me up, while Rocky and Kim were by each other, holding hands, probably as a comforting method. Adam and Aisha both looked a mess, with dirt and sand everywhere, but also with sadness written all over their face.
I looked back at Zordon, and he spoke, "Surely, this message from your father is troubling news indeed." He stated.
I nodded, and he continued, "I understand how you feel. My family is in a whole other galaxy and I can't communicate with them easily. It's been about ten thousand years since I've last seen or heard from them." He told me, looking very sympathetic.
I sniffed, even though I wasn't a sniffer, "How do you deal with it? The separation I mean."
Zordon smiled, "By thinking about how I'm helping protect them more here, than I would be from there. Lord Zedd and Rita hate me, not my family, so with me being here on Earth, I'm protecting them." He told me.
I wiped my eyes again, and sighed. "But, I'm not protecting him. He's gone, and I don't even know where."
Alpha pat my shoulder, "I'm sorry Kaleb. I tried tracking the source of the transmission but the signal is heavily blocked. Not even a professional hacker could penetrate the blockage." The robot informed me. I smiled sadly, still very distraught about the whole thing.
"That's alright Alpha, you tried." I told him.
Tommy looked to me, "You alright K?" He asked.
I looked back at him, nodding, "Yeah, I think so. At least I know what happened to him. That's got to be some kind of closure, right?" I asked, no one in particular. Zordon agreed, "Yes, and trust me Kaleb, we will do everything in our power to see if we can find where your father sent this message from." He told me.
I nodded to him, smiling a bit more genuine than before. "Thank you Zordon."
"However, this cannot affect your efforts towards the team. You have to remain focused, or else Rita and Zedd will win." Zordon reasoned, strictly.
I wiped my eyes once more, and nodded, "Of course Zordon."
Zordon smiled, "Good, now, all of you, go home and rest. It's been a really eventful day for all of you." He told us.
Alpha teleported us out of the Command Center and into the park. It was getting a little late, maybe about five or six in the evening. Tommy yawned, "Oh god, I'm so tired." He said, after the yawn was over.
Kim hit her boyfriend's arm, "Of course you are. I think we actually all are." She said, looking to Billy, Aisha and Adam, who all yawned within ten seconds of each other.
Me and Rocky looked to each other and laughed. I guess we were the only ones actually not tired. After the day we've had today, you'd think we would be, but we weren't. Adam rolled his eyes, "Great, now they revolve their sleep around each other." He muttered.
Billy laughed, "I think I hear wedding bells!" He chimed.
I scoffed at them, "Whatever, you are just jealous that I'm in a relationship and you guys barely can get dates for dances." I retorted. "Yeah, that's right. I know all about the Vice Versa Dance."
From what Rocky told me, it took Billy the day of the dance to get a date, and then Adam got a date right at the dance. Just imagining Adam and Billy scrambling to get dates seemed like the funniest thing in the world.
If it embarrassed them, they had a good way of hiding it, because they both looked very neutral about it. "Nice try Kaleb, but I'm over that." Adam said, smirking. I rolled my eyes, before drifting into my thoughts, looking into the sky.
My dad was still out there, and servant or not, he is my dad, and I'm going to do whatever I can to rescue him and bring him back to us. If the crazy alien lady thinks she can kidnap my dad, turn him into some sort of slave, force him to never see his family again and thinks she can get away with it, she is just wrong on so many levels. There was no way I was going to let some psycho bitch steal my dad away from me. Now that I know that he's alive, there is a fire in my body that just has been ignited. Nothing was going to stop me from getting him back, even if I have to travel the whole universe, I will find him.
"Kaleb?" I heard someone say, pulling me out of my thoughts. I looked around and saw that it was only Aisha, Rocky and me left. It looked liked Aisha was the one to call me. "Yeah?" I asked.
"You okay?"
I nodded, "Yeah, I'm fine. Just thinking about my dad." I told her, to which she nodded.
Rocky pat my back, "Don't worry, I'm sure Zordon and Alpha will find where he is and then we can go and save him." He told me.
Aisha nodded, "Yeah, we'll stick it to the monster that did this." She said, fire in her eyes, before there was panic in them. "Oh my god! I forgot, I have to get home because my cousin living in Italy is visiting us! I gotta get home!" She cried.
Rocky and I nodded, as she hugged us goodbye. I heard her and Rocky whisper something, but I didn't catch the whole thing.
I turned to him as she left, "Well, as much as I want to stay, I have to get home. Maya and Ant are house sitting while Mom and Kim's dad are out for a date, and they'll be wondering where I am." I informed the rest of the group.
They all nodded, all giving me their own personal farewells, while Rocky hugged me, "See ya tomorrow?" He asked. I nodded, smiling.
He let me go, and I quickly ran off to my house. Hopefully my brother won't get too angry. I mean, this wouldn't be the first time that I've stayed out all day before. He's been here long enough to realize this. At least I hope he has.
So, running the whole way to my house, I reached it within about fifteen minutes. Man, I didn't even know I could run for that long. Well, then again, I am a Power Ranger, so I guess I'm just getting used to all this exercise. Opening the door, I looked down at my wrist which held my communicator and my power coin. It was amazing how so much has changed in my life, just because of this little device.
I looked around my house, and smiled, seeing that no one was to be seen. I closed the door quietly, and sighed, relief setting in. At least, it was setting in until, "Where have you been?!" A loud voice sounded from the top of the stairs.
My head shot up, catching the heated look of Maya. Oh crap! There are two people I was terrified by. One was Rita Repulsa, and the other was Maya, especially when she was angry.
I laughed, sheepishly, "I was with my friends." I weakly answered. There was no way she would buy that. It was pitiful, how I answered.
She crossed her arms, "Care to explain?"
"There isn't much to explain. We went to the Angel Grove vs. Stone Canyon volleyball game, since my friends were on the team, then we went to Ernie's new outdoor cafe. Then we hung out in the park for a couple of hours, and once it was getting late, I decided it was best to get home." I rushed out. Sure, I lied a bit, but it was in her best interests, and I was sworn into secrecy.
Maya glared at me, "You are lying, and I want the truth. And maybe, this would explain it." She pulled out a picture, and tossed it to me. I caught it, and my eyes widened. The picture was of us sneaking out of the outdoor cafe and towards the woods, where we encountered Rito the first time. It also showed us holding our morphers in our hands. "What is it that you guys are holding?" She asked, sternly.
Man, I feel so bad for Sofia. She has to deal with this all the time. Not that I don't love Maya, but seriously, when she was angry, she let you know. I shook my head, "Nothing, they were just somethings that Ernie had us bring around to the front, and put them in the Juice Bar." I explained, thanking whoever thought of that, because I think it may have just saved me.
Maya narrowed her eyes, "If you're lying to me…" She started, but I interrupted her, "Maya, don't worry. I'm not lying. Ernie just had us do a couple of errands. That's all." She seemed to settle down a bit after that, but she didn't say anything. She just scoffed and climbed back up the stairs. I sighed in relief, "Man, thank God that's over." I said, softly.
"Man, you must've gotten on her bad side." I heard my older brother's accent from next to me. I yelped and jumped a bit, before glaring at him. "Jeez, Ant, give a brother a heart attack, why don't ya?"
He laughed, "Sorry hermano, but then again, you always were a bit jumpy." he teased, walking over to me. I glared at him and punched him in the shoulder.
Ant just grabbed my arm, "Nice try." he then turned his gaze to my wrist, "You know, I've been meaning to ask you, where did you get this weird looking watch?" He asked.
I tried pulling my arm away, "It was given to me by my friend Billy." I explained, not really lying because Billy really did give it to me.
Ant made a 'Hmm' sound, before moving his finger towards the button that teleports me to the Command Center. My eyes widened, "Don't press that!" I shouted, ripping my arm back, trying to get away from my brother's tight grip. However, he was stronger. Ant laughed, "It's not like it's going to blow up, right?" He then got serious, "It isn't, you know, going to blow up, right?" he asked.
I glared at him, "No! It won't blow up! Now can I have my arm back?"
He ignored me, and my heart started racing a mile a minute. If he pressed that button I'd teleport right in front of him, and knowing my brother, he'll blab to Mom, Rosa and Maya. There is no way I'm going to let that happen. I closed my eyes tight as I regretfully decided on my plan. "Sorry Ant." I whispered, and before he could do anything to reveal my secret, I twisted my arm, the one he held, and he was lurched forward, and I fell on the ground and sweeped my foot under his. He landed on his back, groaning.
I stood up, glaring at my brother, "Next time, look, don't touch." I warned him, before storming up the stairs and into my room. I slammed the door and locked it. There was no way I would be dealing with my family right now. Maya and Ant were perfect for each other in the way as they are both very stubborn. Maya now thinks I'm being irresponsible and I just floored my brother.
I climbed onto my bed and just sat there, glaring at nothing. My mind was going every way possible. Thoughts of Zordon, being a Power Ranger, my family, the message from my dad, Rocky and my other friends just sped through my head, and I soon got really dizzy.
I sighed, laying my head down on my pillow, and almost instantly, I fell asleep. I guess I'll see what happens in the morning. At least, for now anyway, I was still a Power Ranger and my secret was still safe.
So yeah, I just had to re-upload this so that I could get this out to you guys. I'm working on more of this story, and I'm going back and seeing if I should continue Kaleb's story like its going or should I just try and rewrite it to make more sense, because I realize that I've left a lot of stuff unexplained and Kaleb quickly became a Gary Stu character, my biggest fear. So let me know in the comments and I'll put a poll up on my profile. Thnx and keep reading. I don't know when the next chapter will be up, but know that I'm doing what I can to work on it.
