Chuck vs The Bracelet
Chapter 14: Open Bars and Keytars
Three weeks have gone by since Team B took down Edgar and his Fulcrum organization. With everything around them now at peace, Morgan and Alex see it as good a time as any, to tie the knot. The ceremony went out without a hitch. Casey walked Alex down the aisle, and gave her away. Casey also served as a groomsmen, along with Captain Awesome. Chuck served as best man, happy as can be for his best friend's big day. Sarah and Ellie served as bridesmaid. Both with smiles just as bright as the dresses they were wearing. Now officially, Mr. and Mrs. Grimes, they celebrate the only way they know how. With a big lavish reception.
"I'm married!" yells Morgan as he dances with his new wife.
While that goes on, Casey is with Gertrude enjoying the open bar… that he bought. "Nice selection of drinks, John. You certainly spared no expense" says Gertrude. "Wait…. Are you crying?
Casey quickly wipes away the tears not trying to let the emotional day get to him. He doesn't know quite what to say. So he just goes. "… No… Shut up, Gertrude."
Everyone continues to celebrate, until Chuck calls for a toast. "I believe it's customary for the best man to give a speech. So… here it goes. Morgan and I, have been best friends for as long as I can remember. And I certainly couldn't have asked for a better one. But now… you have someone else by your side. Someone who's a heck of a lot prettier than me." He jokes. "But in all seriousness, the journey you two are about to go on… is the best experience you'll ever have. Believe me, I know." He says as he looks over at Sarah and his baby boy. "So… in closing. Let us all raise a glass to the new… Mr. and Mrs. Morgan Grimes! The best to both of you."
After the guest applaud and drink to Morgan and Alex, the ballroom lights go out and everything goes black. "Morgan? What's going on?"
"I don't know." He answers.
The lights begin to brighten up again, and a voice is heard through the speakers. "Ladies and Gentleman…. And Casey. Are you ready… TO ROCK!"
Morgan finally realizes what and who it is, and says. "Oh no!"
"What?" asks Alex.
Morgan tries to alleviate the situation by saying. "Alex… sweetie… my beautiful new bride, please keep in mind that when I told them that they could sing at my wedding someday… I didn't actually think I would ever get married. Plus…. there was several amounts of alcohol involved….. and Halo."
It takes Alex a second to figure out what he was talking about. And when she does, she says. "No!"
All of a sudden, strobe lights begin to flicker, and the sound of a keytar is heard. The keytar noise builds until finally the man playing comes on to the stage. Followed by another man with a microphone yelling. "Coming to you directly from Deutschland, We. Are. Jeffster! And this is for our friend Morgan Grimes and his new hot wife. Hit it." The music begins to play and Jeffster! Starts to play, 'Don't Stop Believing'.
"Please don't be mad." says Morgan. "And…. Your father will probably kill me anyway for it." He jokes.
Any anger Alex had, quickly washes away. Instead, she tells Morgan. "Make it up to me by dancing with me. I love this song. Come on!"
The night went on with everybody dancing, laughing and rocking out to Jeffster. The party goes on into the early hours of the morning. All the people gradually begin to leave. Leaving only the Bartowski clan.
"Awesome reception, dude." Says Devon as he holds a sleeping, Clara.
"It really was." Says Ellie. "The ballroom is a wreck, though." She jokes.
"That's why there's cleaning men." Says Casey.
"That was a killer shindig Morgan." Says Lester.
"Hey? Where's Big Mike?" asks Jeff. "We haven't seen him in hours."
Morgan tells them. "He and my Mom left together somewhere and… Yeah I'm stopping there."
At that moment, General Beckman walks in. "I can see you all had a good time."
"General?" says Chuck. "We thought you left."
"I'm not one to leave without saying something. Especially because they were kind enough to actually invite me to their wedding."
"We're still sorry about." Says Chuck.
"That's not the only thing." Says Beckman. "I have a present for the bride and groom."
"Oh really?" asks Morgan. "You didn't have to do that."
"Technically I sort of… didn't. But that's beside the point… here" She says as she hands them two tickets.
Morgan and Alex both take a look, and are stunned. "The Bahamas?" They both shout.
"Wow. Now I'm really regretting not inviting her to our wedding." Says Chuck.
"Enjoy yourselves." Says The General. "Now… for you two." She says to Chuck and Sarah.
"Us?" asks Sarah. "Why? What is it?"
Beckman pulls out a pair of odd looking glasses and hands them over to Chuck. "Here, these should help out in a big way."
Chuck is confused at first asking. "I'm all for fashion General, but… What are these for, exactly?"
"They're Intersect extraction glasses."
Chuck is shocked and asks. "What? How did you do this? Or get it?"
"When we went to clean up that whole Miles mess awhile back, we found his plans. It took our scientists some times to figure it out, but we recently found a way to do it. Put these glasses on and they will take the Intersect out, save it, and you can put it back in your head whenever you want."
"Anything else?" Chuck asks. "When I went through this with Miles it super painful."
"Not to mention nearly fatal." Adds Sarah.
"The only real side effect that will happen is you'll get a really bad taste in your mouth. Probably rotten fish from the test reports. And a slight headache. But nothing to die over." She says. "Now if there is no further questions I have some… other matters to check in on. Goodbye everyone."
"Thanks General!" yells Morgan as she leaves. "You're the best! Oh my god! The Bahamas."
The next night Chuck and Sarah are at home, trying to get little Stephen to fall asleep.
"So how are feeling now that the Intersect's out?" asks Sarah.
Chuck holds Stephen while he's on a rocking chair, and says. "Like a gigantic weight has been lifted off me. But I'll tell you this… Beckman certainly wasn't lying about the bad taste. Yuck!"
"Alright. Just as long as you're okay." Says Sarah. "Did he fall asleep yet?" She asks.
"No. And I've been rocking him for half an hour."
"Just keep talking to him. Tell him a story or something." She suggests.
"I probably will. I can't this of anything else to do." He says. "Hey… why don't you start getting ready for bed."
"You sure?"
"Yeah, yeah. I'll come over once I've put him down." says Chuck.
"Okay. If you insist." She jokes. She kisses him and leaves the room.
"Alright, buddy. How can I get you to fall asleep?" He thinks for a second, then says. "Okay. I'll do what your Mom said. I'll tell you a story. I'll tell you my favorite one. Now this story all started… with a guy who worked at Buy More…"
The Epilogue
On Her Generals Secret Service
When the General departed the reception, she went directly to the NSA offices in downtown LA. She walks down a long hallway escorted by one of her agents.
"General please don't take this the wrong way, but… are you sure about this?" asks the agent.
"My colleagues and I thought that this would be a better use for the asset than the alternative." She says.
They both finally arrive to a room, once they enter they are greeted by a man being attended to by a doctor. "Back from the land of Misfit Spies I see. So, how was the service? Did the newlywed's like my gift?" asks The Man.
"They did." Says The General.
"You didn't tell it was from me, right?" He asks.
"Of course not. You're dead. Remember?" Says Beckman.
The Man laughs then says. "Well... technically i was.
"For a minute." She says.
"Still counts." He says. "And the, Carmichael's?"
"They have it. Once you finally gave us the rest of the plans it was easy to complete it."
"Yeah. You know I just took them in the first place to mess with Miles and Captain plank." He says. "Never really thought of doing anything with it, though."
Beckman asks the Doctor if the Man is ready for field work. The Doctor clears him, and Beckman tosses a folder to The Man. "Your first assignment."
The Man groans and says. "Of course."
"It's either working for me, or a jail cell. Those are your two option... Laz." Says Beckman.
"Fine." Says Laz.
"Just remember. I could have left you there to really die. So do anything wrong, and next time.. I wont do a thing to help." She warns him. "Well then, if there is nothing else, best of luck... Agent Teller."
"An agent in name only, Becks. Remember, I'm more a prisoner of the Government. But that doesn't have quite the same ring to it as Agent does." Says Laz.
"Even so, you will give it your all either way." Says Beckman. "And you will refer to me as, General from now on."
"Oh I get it. General in public, and Diane in private." Laz jokes. She finally leaves and the last thing Laz does is give her a joking salute.
Orion and I: Part III
The partnership between Laz Stephen has come to an end. Stephen must leave for personal reasons. So, they say their goodbyes.
"So then… this is it, I guess?" Says Laz.
"Why don't we call it a… see ya later." Says Stephen. "Something with my family needs my attention."
"Alright. Well you take care, Stephen." Laz says
"You too, Laz." They shake hands and begin to part ways.
Laz stops him and says. "Hey! It's Sebastian. My real name it's... that."
Stephen hears him and says. "Can I give you some advice…? Sebastian? Try not to live this life for very long. Because one day you might find someone, have a couple of kids and be forced to leave them because you made too many enemies. If you've taken anything from me…take that."
Unfortunately, Laz and Stephen would never speak again. Stephen died after getting shot. When Laz heard, he went to his grave to pay respects. His final words to Stephen were. "You were Aces." And leaves a flower on his fallen friend's grave.
