Chapter IV: Green Trailer / Field Trip

Xavier was bored. He was sitting in class while quickly tapping his pencil on the desk. Eventually people started throwing him dirty looks, even Victor. But Xavier's nervous energy was always getting on Victor's nerves, whether it be tapping a pencil or bouncing in place, Victor was annoyed by it and Xavier knew it. But he COULDN'T stay still, his Semblance was speed and although he was handy in a fight, his energy presented itself in other ways.

After the class ended, Victor stormed out without saying anything. Rumor was that he hadn't done too well on the simulation and that was why he was ticked off.

Xavier pondered this while he packed his things, which basically consisted of his weapon and his papers. "Xavier," the Professor began I am taking a few students on an expedition to kill a Nevermore that is terrorizing a nearby town, and I have decided that you are a good choice for this trip. We are leaving in ten minutes." Xavier grinned and replied, "I'll get ready then." And dashed to his dorm to drop his papers off and get ready to fight the Nevermore.

Xavier dashed around his room and tried to occupy himself for ten whole minutes. Eventually he gave up and went for a walk around Signal. He ran into a few people, but he decided not to talk to them. He dashed around Signal 3 or 4 times, then gave up and walked back to the classroom.

He arrived and saw two other people waiting with the Professor, both of whom were girls. Xavier shied away for half a second, then walked quickly over to the Professor. "Can we go yet?" Xavier moaned. "Why not? This should be all we need!" The Professor responded.

They marched to the hangar and boarded a waiting Bullhead. As the Bullhead flew towards Forever Fall, Xavier prepped himself for the upcoming battle. He checked his arrows, then sharpened his Sabre, not that he needed to, it was already razor-sharp.

Eventually the Bullhead landed and Xavier leapt out. A sudden screech announced the Nevermore's arrival. "Stay out of it's way and don't die!" The Professor advised.

'Thanks, but I know what I'm doing' Xavier thought. Xavier dashed into a tree then aimed an arrow at the monstrous creature of Grimm, and fired.

The arrow smacked it's eye and made it swerve madly. Once it had regained control Xavier leapt up and shot a grapple arrow under the Nevermore's wing. He proceeded to climb the rope and jump onto the back of the bird.

Xavier morphed his bow into a Sabre and went at it. Xavier slashed at one spot of flesh until he broke through and it dissolved into rose petals. He stabbed his Sabre in and dug it around a bit, all around him was the Nevermore's screams.

Xavier didn't notice the beak of the Nevermore until it clamped down on him, inside the beast's beak, Xavier tried forcing them open to little avail. He looked back and saw the pulsing throat of the beast and slashed at it, the Nevermore cried in pain and Xavier leapt out out his prison. Xavier free fell until he decided to get back to the fight.

He used a grapple arrow to catapult himself off a tree, towards the Nevermore. He watched the others as he flew. Both girls had guns, one had a machine gun the other had a musket. Both were shooting the best they could and the Professor stood in the Bullhead, watching the fight.

Xavier smashed into the Nevermore with so much force, it started falling with him. Xavier had an idea. He started diving faster until he was pressed up against the armor-like feathers of the creature, then used his Semblance to dash towards the ground.

Xavier aimed the Nevermore's head towards a particularly jagged mound of rocks and pushed harder. With a final push Xavier flung the Nevermore into the rocks and quickly grappled a tree.

Xavier slammed into the ground and started losing consciousness. The last thing Xavier saw was the Nevermore beginning to melt into rose petals.

Xavier woke up back at his dorm room. Except he wasn't alone. The Professor stood in the doorway. "Ahem." Xavier said. The Professor jumped and then saw Xavier awake and grinned.

"Excellent work my boy!" The Professor exclaimed. "Your quick-thinking helped you and your team defeat the Nevermore." He continued. "I killed it?" Xavier said incredulously. "No," the Professor began, "however you did trap it there as it began to dissolve and me a few other teachers finished it off."

Xavier felt great. "You remind me of myself when I was younger..." The Professor mused. "I'll make sure to let Ozpin know about your deeds this day." The Professor said, leaving the room. Xavier quickly got up and went to his next class...
