Chapter V Part II: The Big Man

Roland was sitting on a log, helmet of to the side, polishing his sword. The weapon was truly a sight, a blade that was 5 feet long and a foot wide, a two handed grip, and could cut through a Boarbutusk's armor like a hot knife through butter.

Rose petals continued to rise from the pack of Beowolves that Roland had just killed. He had a satisfied smile on his face as he cleaned his weapon. Looking at the blade, he saw his reflection and his smile fell slightly as his left hand went to his eye. 'I should have stayed' he thought.

"Excuse me, Mr. Steel." a female voice said. Roland looked up to see a woman with blond hair, green eyes, a white blouse with black skirt and cape. Roland stood, sword still in hand. "Was just giving Slayer a polish, what can I help you with, Miss..." he trailed off, not knowing the woman's name. "Goodwitch. Glynda Goodwitch." the woman said, introducing herself. Roland nodded and continued, "What can I do for Miss Goodwitch?"

Glynda looked around at the still rising rose petals, saying, "You have been busy, haven't you?" Roland grinned as she continued, "I am here with an offer from Beacon." 'Beacon!', Roland thought, 'Is she saying what I think she is saying?' "Go on." he said out loud. "Professor Ozpin would like you to attend his school." 'Yep, she is.',

Roland couldn't help the excited grin that was slowly crossing his face. "Why would Ozpin want a vigilante like me at Beacon?" he asked. Glynda replied, "He thinks that you could do a better job with some more training." The grin now covered Roland's face as he said, "Why not."
