Yukina smiled as she approached the crib, " There is someone..two someones I think you will want to meet…"
Kurama's eyes followed Yukina as she picked up one of the moving bundles wrapped tightly in a white blanket. The ice maiden motioned for Kurama to come
closer. The fox had remained frozen after the ice maiden had said "there is someone..two someones I think you will want to meet." A million thoughts were
racing through Kurama's head. Kurama glanced over at Cheza, had she given birth to their child already? And if so..how? how was it possible? Who was the
other newborn in the crib then? Kurama snapped out of his thoughts, now finding Yukina standing beside him the newborn's face now staring up at him with
big curious golden eyes.
Kurama's eyes widened, golden…eyes? Those same piercing eyes his other half possessed. The fox's eyes drifted to the newborns head, a pair of silver fuzzy
nubs adorned each side of the infants head. Yukina scanned Kurama's face, curious to see what his reaction to this totally unexpected event would be. A
multitude of emotions passed over the fox's face; surprise, realization, happiness, fear, emotions that would be expected in such a situation. Yukina placed the
newborn in Kurama's arms, the baby reached out his hand tugging on Kurama's red locks.
Kurama's eyes drifted up to Yukina, "This is my son..but how?" "We're not sure. Master Genkai thinks Cheza was given some type of drug to speed up her
pregnancy." Kurama frowned, his attention averted from Yukina as the sound of crying echoed around them. That's right..there was another newborn in the
crib. "Yukina..there is another infant in that crib.."
"Right!" Yukina quickly approached the crib, picking up another white bundle. Yukina must have had her child too…the idea was feasible. The fox was not
familiar with the ways of the ice maidens, he concluded they must give birth much faster than a human….though he found it odd her stomach still looked like it
was fixing to burst…as if she hadn't given birth yet. He had been gone for a few months though… it was the only logical explanation for there to be another
child present. By the sound of the wailing he was able to determine the child crying was female, which further supported his hypothesis that the child belonged
to Yukina. Ice maidens could not give birth to men after all, considering the fact they engaged in asexual reproduction.
Yukina approached the redhead, taking the newborn boy out of Kurama's arms and replacing him with the second bundle. Kurama stared down into a pair of
emerald eyes. Yukina noticed the look of utter astonishment on the fox's face, a look he rarely wore.
A pair of silver fuzzy nubs occupied each side of this newborns head as well. A pair of fuzzy red eyebrows rose with curiosity upon seeing Kurama. Cheza had
not only given birth months earlier than expected..but she had given birth to two infants. "I..have a son and a…daughter." Kurama commented, disbelief
evident in his voice.
" Aren't you the observant one." Kurama looked up to see Genkai standing in the doorway with a smirk on her face, Kuronue and Yusuke beside her.
"Congratulations man! I never thought I'd see the day when the Youko Kurama would settle down and have kids." Kuronue remarked. Yusuke approached the
still stunned Kurama and placed an arm around him, "Yeah man, Congratulations!"
"AHEM!" Everyone turned to see Koenma in his teen form now standing in the doorway. "I got here as fast as I could, where is Cheza!?" Before anyone could
respond Koenma spotted Cheza on Yukina's bed. "It is vital we get her to the spirit world hospital as soon as possible!" Questioning looks were cast at the
prince and so he quickly explained while urging Kurama to help pick her up. " She was given a drug to speed up her pregnancy, it is a very dangerous drug that
should not be used on humans…it will almost always be fatal." Kurama's eyes flashed gold, indicating that he was pissed beyond belief.
" To be honest with you I am amazed she is still alive right now." A pang of fear began to swell up inside of the fox after hearing Koenma's words.
/\/\/\/\/\/\ a week later/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\
Cheza's eyes fluttered open and she found herself staring at an unfamiliar white ceiling. The room she was in was ice cold and eerily quiet, the only sound
being the beeping of the heart monitor she was hooked up to. Looking around the room she found she was alone..where was everyone?
The last thing she remembered was Genkai shouting orders while she screamed in agony. She had given birth! where were her children!? Were they okay!?
Cheza shot up and began to pull out various needles stuck inside each of her forearms. She had to see her babies..she had to know they were alright.
Something began to beep loudly after ripping out all the needles out of her arms drawing the attention of someone.
Yusuke who was standing outside her room waiting for Kurama to return from the restroom ran into the room to see what was going on. "Shit Cheza! What
are you doing out of bed!" "Where's Stella!? Where's Daisuke!?" Cheza exclaimed. "Who?" Yusuke asked his face contorting into a look of confusion.
Cheza jumped as she felt a hand on her shoulder, turning she met eyes with Kurama. " They are both fine Cheza, you need to focus on yourself right now.
Please get back into bed, you have recovered quite a bit but I don't think it is wise for you to be up and moving around just yet." Kurama could see his words
had soothed his mate. He had to admit he was more than curious when he saw the look of relief in her eyes once she saw him. Where exactly had she gone?
And why would anyone speed up her pregnancy? Cheza embraced the redhead in a hug which he gladly reciprocated. "I'll give you two love birds some alone
time." Yusuke commented with a wink before walking outside of the room.
Kurama pulled Cheza forward, leading her to the hospital bed. Cheza sat on the edge of the bed, Kurama took a seat in a chair directly in front of her. "How
are you feeling?" he asked while scanning over her body. " I'm still a little sore..but I feel okay." "Cheza…I" Sadness began to radiate from the fox as his words
trailed off. " I'm sorry I could not save you from whatever has happened to you. I looked everywhere for you.." Cheza smiled, " All that matters is that we made
it out alive" Kurama's eyebrow rose, "we?" A smile found its way onto Cheza's lips, "Yes..Daisuke, Stella and I."
"You spoke of them earlier, who are they? Did they save you?"Kurama asked. Cheza averted her gaze from Kurama, a tear escaping her eye. " If it weren't for
Daisuke it would have been my life that was taken instead of his..though really he was not just saving me but himself and Stella as well."
Cheza's words had Kurama wracking his brain for the meaning behind them. This Daisuke had clearly sacrificed himself for her and this mysterious Stella as
well. "I'm sorry…" Kurama said in a near whisper. "Don't be..that future will cease to exist now. Daisuke is alive and well and so is Stella."
Confusion was written all over the redheads face, " How do you know? You've been out for over a week now"
"Because you told me silly!" Cheza replied. Kurama remained silent for a moment repeating Cheza's
words in his mind. Finally the realization hit him, Cheza was talking about their two children. It still felt
strange to him to wake up and out of the blue find out he was now a father of two and that the kids did
not look human like he thought they would. His son had those Trade mark golden eyes his other half
possessed and his daughter had the same forest green eyes that he himself possessed. Both had one
thing in common though, the fox ears and tails.
" You met..our children before they were born…?" Cheza nodded, remaining silent. So she had been sent to the future, how far into the future was still not
clear. Kurama's mind wandered to Daisuke, his eyes widened as he hit another realization. Cheza had witnessed their son die before her very eyes after he
had protected her from someone or something. Kurama took Cheza's hand in his, guilt now plastered on his face. "Kurama its okay..you don't have to feel
guilty. What happened isn't your fault, in fact if it hadn't happened everyone we have ever known and loved would be dead." Kurama stiffened after hearing
this, "how far into the future were you sent? And who is the one responsible for all of these future deaths?" Kurama's eyes darkened, his eyes now completely
gold. "This future will no longer exist..you don't need to wor.." "Tell me who" Kurama demanded, his voice now sounding more like Youko's. "His name
is..was..Sinister." Cheza replied in a near whisper. Kurama became rigid, from his reaction Cheza was able to decipher that he knew this demon..or at least
knew of this demon.
" Is he the one who sped up your pregnancy and nearly killed you in the process?" he asked while clinching his fist. "Actually…that was you." Kurama/ Youko's
piercing golden eyes locked with Cheza's, " I'm the cause of your close encounter with death?" "You had no choice. Sinister would have gained immortality
before I would have given birth, the future would have been stuck the way it was if you hadn't."
Kurama remained silent. Cheza watched as Kurama's eyes narrowed, waves of anger were emitting off of him and crashing into her with full force. "He may
have died in the future, but he is alive now in the present. I will hunt him down and I will make his suffer for trying to destroy my family."
A thick grey fog had been pouring off Kurama for quite some time now, Cheza couldn't even see him in
front of her anymore. Although, she could make out an outline of a certain fox demon. When the smoke
cleared Youko stood, staring straight at her. "Kitten I want you to get some rest, I'll be back soon."
Cheza knew there was no stopping him, Youko was out for blood..Sinister's blood and he would not fail
to get it. Youko disappeared through the door, soon after the sound of the hospital window opening caused her to freeze. Who the hell would be coming
through the window!? Cheza turned wide-eyed expecting the worst, much to her relief she met with a pair of glaring red saucers. " The fox wants me to keep
an eye on you, so I suggest you get back to bed before I make you." Cheza sighed before laying back down and turning her back away from Hiei. Hiei's glare
softened, "Yukina will be here with Stella and Daisuke shortly." Apparently Hiei had been ease dropping in on her and Kurama's conversation, or he had
rummaged through her mind to see where she had been and what had happened.
A light knock on the door was heard, Cheza turned to see Yukina now standing in the doorway with Daisuke and stella sleeping peacefully in a double stroller.
"Hi there Cheza, I'm am happy to see you are awa.." Yukina winced then stared down at her rather large belly. In a flash Hiei was by her side asking if she was
okay. It was strange seeing Hiei worry about someone. "Yes..I'm fine, I can feel her kicking right now is all."
Hiei disappeared out the door in a blur, leaving Cheza and Yukina confused. Hiei came to a halt in front of one of the spirit world doctors, in a flash his sword
was at the doctors neck. "I need some assistance."
"I..I'm kinda busy ri.." The doctor's eyes widened as Hiei pressed the sword against the doctor's neck with more force. "O..okay I guess I could help you out!"
Sheathing his sword, Hiei lead the way back to Yukina who was now sitting down. "Mr. Hiei, you didn't have to get me a doctor..I'm fine really." "How far along
are you anyways Yukina? Does it take the same amount of time as a human for you to go into labor?" Cheza asked curiously while holding Daisuke's little hand
in hers. "I was expecting to give birth about three months sooner than you…but you surprised us all. My kind actually gives birth after six months instead of the
typical 9." Hiei's eyes widened, he apparently didn't know this information. The doctor approached Yukina while taking out his stethoscope. "To really know
what's going on I would need to do an ultrasound, all I can really do on such short notice is listen to the babies heart to see if it sounds normal. I must be
honest, I have no experience with ice maidens..I imagine they are not much different than any other demon though." After listening to the babies heart beat
for a few minutes the doctor concluded that everything was normal and proceeded to leave.

Hiei sat on the windowsill silently listening to Yukina and Cheza talk. The two were currently playing with Daisuke and Stella. "If you don't mind me asking,
where is Kurama?" Cheza frowned, "He…went to take care of business" Yukina seemed to understand what she meant and didn't ask any further questions.
"Have you and Kurama decided on any names yet?" Yukina asked changing the subject. " Well, actually yes. Stella for the girl and Daisuke for the boy."
Yukina smiled, "I like those names. I've been trying to think up names for my little one." Cheza looked up, meeting eyes with Yukina " I met her already and I
want you to know the name you chose is beautiful and it fits her well." Cheza could see Yukina's eyes brighten, " Really? You were sent to the future then? Did
you meet Daisuke and Stella too?" Cheza nodded, "Yes I did." Yukina began to speak, but stopped. She appeared hesitant to ask her next question, but she
ended up asking. "Cheza..if you don't mind me asking. What did I name my daughter?"
"Taya" Cheza replied. Happiness radiated from the ice maiden as she stared down at her belly. "Taya..if
you can hear me..I love you and I can't wait to meet you."
/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\That night/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\
Cheza had been discharged from the hospital and was now staying at Genkai's temple. Cheza yawned as she rocked Daisuke in her arms in an attempt to get
him to stop crying. Stella was a perfect little angel who never cried, while Daisuke was a very fussy demanding baby. Glancing up at the clock, Cheza realized it
was nearly two in the morning and Kurama had yet to return.
Cheza stared into her sons eyes as he continued to wail. She caught site of a reflection of someone standing behind her as she stared into his golden depths.
She turned, Youko stood covered in blood from head to toe. "Are..you okay?" she asked wide-eyed. "I'm fine kitten.. you will never have to worry about Sinister
again." Youko averted his gaze to the still crying Daisuke, "Hand him to me." "Shouldn't you take a shower or something…you'll get blood all over him and his
blanket." Youko shook his head, "The smell of blood will soothe him..he is half demon after all." After taking Daisuke into his arms he almost instantly quit his
crying. "You were right!" Cheza whispered as to not wake their son up. Youko scanned Cheza's face, noting the dark circles under her eyes. Daisuke must have
been keeping her awake for quite some time now. "Kitten you should get some rest." Cheza nodded then got to her feet following behind Youko to their room.
Cheza smiled to herself, she could tell Kurama was going to be a great father.
