Hi! Before you read this chapter i need to ask you a favor... Can you suggest maybe two brothers from Naruto, one older and one younger, obviously thou , Sasuke and Itachi don't count :( which is sad because they would have been perfect! And if you can't think of a pair of brothers then... Who would you like to see as the older and younger brother... This is for a future chapter... So i'm looking foward to your suggestions ... So... i guess... Enjoy thanks !

"Okay Ellie be careful now"He said as she shakily stood on the floating wood, what of she fell down?, she would surely drown. "Hey Ellie, don't worry, if you fall Naruto will catch you... We're not letting you drown" Sakura said reassuringly as Naruto nodded. Ellie smiled , she liked Sakura, even though she had a temper, much like Tsunade's , she was very nice to her. She was also starting to like Naruto, yes , he had a temper as well and was quite rude, but deep down he seemed like a nice guy, he was strong , brave and always opted for their benefit. So she firmly kneeled down in the large piece of wood which looked like a small door, and sat down holding each edge tightly but firmly. Naruto started to push her moving his legs as fast as he could swimming forward, Sakura followed, glancing occasionally at Ellie who looked nervous as the lake deepened. Sakura was about to speak but she got interrupted by Naruto.

"Don't worry Ellie, we're almost there , i'll try to speed up, okay?" Ellie smiled she nodded as he went faster. This is why she liked Naruto, he was moody and serious, yet , there was something very parent-like about him, like this, protective nature, she never met her father, and her mother died very soon after giving birth to her, so it felt nice, having that feeling.

They got to the other side of the lake soon enough, Ellie felt her little "boat" stop, as Naruto stood on the already visible floor of the lake, he motion Sakura to take his hand as he led her onto the other side, then turned to Ellie.

"Come on Kiddo, you're not gonna drown when we are two feet away from the floor..." She took his hand and felt the cold water , which made her jump-up a little bit. He silently chuckled at her silliness picking her up in his arms and dropping her on the dry warm grass.

"Thanks"

"It's okay..."

They paced slowly and left the beautiful environment aside
He glanced at Sakura seriously." You see that town?" He pointed towards his objective " Kankuro lives by himself there... "

"By himself?"

"Yes... Umm... About that , i think i mentioned his paranoia right?"

Both female nodded.

"Well... He also has severe trust issues..."

Sakura arched her brow.

"How... Severe?"

"Just... Don't be surprised if he points at you occasionally with a gun" she frowned " I mean... It's not like he's bad or something , it's just..."

"Severe trust issues?" She completed and he nodded.

Ellie made a disgusted face

"Seems to me like he's crazy"

"Never said he wasn't... But he is very handy with anything mechanical as i told you before, plus i bet he has crafted lots of guns, and we need some urgently... So he's the best choice we have for survival"

"Okay... So we are about to enter a town which is protected by a complex system created by a maniac..."

"Well ... Are you trying to scare us or something?" Sakura questioned.

"Because you're succeeding..." The little brunette completed.

"No, i'm just saying... Stay close... And this time, i mean it"

They slowly stepped through the town that was freakishly silent, thanks to Ellie's keen eye, Sakura's intelligence and Naruto's agility they where able to ran across multiple traps unharmed, they where a good team, Naruto was pleasantly surprised with Ellie's overall skills, she was no Ten-ten, but she could easily move at his pace, and follow his agile movements, she was smart and fairly mature so there was no need to over explain something to her. Yes, he , Naruto Uzumaki was not that annoyed at her. Actually, she was okay.

They reached a small house, it looked like a shack, it seemed safe so it was not long before they started searching the place, looting some items in the way.

"Kankuro! It's me, Naruto!"He raised his voice "Man, don't worry, i just need some help!" Apparently Naruto didn't understood that noise attracted infected, perhaps he merely forgot, because it was "impossible" that infected came across the traps, but, was it?, he finally thought it through as he saw some approaching from a far off window.

"Girls, Stay here!" He ran towards the runners , that had already broken the window and were now climbing up, sadly, Naruto didn't went very far, as he stepped on yet another trap, and oh-so-suddenly he was upside down, with both his legs stranded on a firm piece of cord.

"God Dammit Kankuro!" Sakura and Ellie instantly approached him trying to set him free. "You need a knife! Ellie reach that!" He pointed at something sharp, it was like a piece of metal of some sort "Sakura, help her and watch out for her, load your gun!"

"And how are you gonna take care of yourself?"

"How'd you think?" He grabbed his gun, charged it and shot some runner that managed to climb in. She stood there, mouth open wide.

"How can you shoot upside down?"

"How can you not? Enough talk, watch out for Ellie" They turned their heads to the fourteen year old trying desperately to reach the sharp object. She nodded in response.

Naruto smoothly shot every infected from the window, sighed in relief , thankful it was over, as so did the girls, yet, the door abruptly bursted , revealing even more infected, Naruto wiggled his body to turn around and repeated the same process, he was kinda nervous because they were getting close to Ellie and Sakura who had just kicked one in the face, the number of infected increased as he ran out of bullets, with Sakura's help , Ellie finally reached the sharp metal, but turned around to see an infected getting really close to Naruto. Then a gunshot was heard, and the infected fell in front of Naruto's face.

"You... You son of a bitch!, you scared the hell out of me!"

"You know what Kankuro? Fuck off" He said breathlessly. Sakura and Ellie turned to see the man that had saved Naruto's life , He was tall and brunette, covered in a black cloak, with huge boots, but what got their attention was his face, it was like camouflage taken to the extreme, he had purple paint smeared all over his face in a geometric fashion. He turned back at them, frowning.

"What the fuck Naruto?! Who are these people?!"

"Man... It's a long story..."

Naruto walked beside Kankuro while Sakura and Ellie followed behind, the "camouflaged" man had been looking at them with suspicion, and they didn't seemed pleased, Naruto did mention that he was crazily paranoid... But still...

"So you want to find Sasuke" he arched his brow.

"Yes" Naruto answered simply.

"And... Where's Ten-ten, you guys are always together... Trouble in paradise?"

"Thats none of your business"

"So whats up with this girls then? A replacement perhaps?"

"They're Ten-Ten's friends... I ... I told you already so just shut up..."

"Well i don't care were you're heading but... I don't buy their story" he said pointing at both girls.

"Well i don't care if you buy it or not, but don't talk about us as if we were not here okay?!" Ellie finally exploded.

"Listen you little brat! I do-"

"Don't talk to her like that!" Sakura quickly intervened. Kankuro looked at her, even madder than before, but Naruto quickly came between both and glanced deadly at Kankuro, so he shrugged and turned his back.

"Whatever... Just don't come near me" They kept silently walking towards Kankuro's Safe-house, a church, in which he kept most of his guns, and things of that fashion. Ellie turned towards Kankuro, she did not wanted to talk to him, but her curiosity was killing her.

"So whats the favor you own to Naruto?" She said casually.

"None of your business" He said coldly.

"Whatever, just get us the car and we'll live" He abruptly stopped, looking back at her.

"Car?" He started laughing madly as he turned to Naruto " That's the help you need?"

"What's so funny?" Sakura questioned.

"Listen smarty-pants , do you think that if i had a car... First would i be here? And second if i had, would i let you take it? It's a no brainer, so if you're looking for a car then you can turn your back" He finished with a laugh. Naruto glanced at him seriously and took his collar pushing him against the wall lightly.

"Listen... I know you don't have a car... But i also know that you indeed have the parts we need to get a car working... Now that said , you're gonna help us find it, construct it and for God's sake you will do it without been such an asshole to both of them! Understood?"

He swallowed and silently nodded.

"Yes"

"Okay... Now, do you know where to find them?"

"Uh... Yes, but there's one problem"

"Which is?"

" They are at a school... Filled with infected"

"Oh that's just fucking great"Ellie said sarcastically.

"Well then lets hurry up to it" Sakura said simply.

"Yeah, it's not that simple, first we need to reach the safe house , it's more of an armory..." Kankuro explained moving forward "So Naruto, what trouble have you gotten into?"

"It's just... A job, a drop off to be specific" He murmured nervously.

"What are you dropping off? The little brat?" He laughed.

"Ha ha ... Fuck you too" The brunette frowned.

"So what do we need to fix the car or whatever?" Sakura asked curiously.

"We? Do you know how to fix-"

"- Kankuro..."

They kept walking till they found the exit, something that looked like a parking lot as there were a lot of cars lined up.

"Hey why don't you just fix one of this cars?" Ellie said brightly.

"Oh my god! You're a genius why didn't i think of that before?" Kankuro said sarcasticly.

"Okay... Don't be a dick" Sakura said.

"I mean they're rotten inside out..." He continued.

"Infected! " Ellie shouted

Naruto turned, as he realized that this wasn't gonna be easy. At all.
