It said;
'Dear Lizzy! My sweet little baby.
Happy Seventeenth Birthday! We both are pretty sure that you are now all grown up into the smart and talented girl we knew you'd turn out to be. We want you to know how proud we are. We can only hope that your studies and everything along with it went well without a hitch. This is the last letter we write to you. Don't be sad, we also have some good news. Our friend has arranged a party for you at 55 main. He promised he would. I'm sure you've never heard of it before but Sara will take you there. You MUST not tell anyone about this. There's a gift awaiting you. You have to go there in the morning and I'm sure casual clothing will do.
Love you always,
Mom and Dad.'
Tear stricken, I put it down. It was so short compared to the rest of them, I wish it was longer. I wish they stayed with me longer. I wish...
I couldn't wait for morning to come. Why couldn't it just come right away! Knowing me I'd wake up at the crack of dawn that is if I can manage to sleep in all the tossing and turning that will follow.
"Goodnight Sara! Be ready by seven." And with that I rushed to my bedroom.
More tired than I realized, I was asleep in less than five minutes. Despite having a dreamless night I couldn't help as I tossed around.
NEXT DAY.
I woke up at six as my alarm blasted off playing the typical iPhone alarm tone. Being lazy and feeling extremely tired for no reason, I stayed in bed for a few minutes but when yesterdays memories evaded my thoughts I got up in a rush.
I went to the bathroom and took a shower, brushed my teeth and did whatever I had to.
I wore my tight fitted black jeans and a long white shirt which hugged my curves perfectly. I didn't really put any make up except a lip gloss and blush on, without which I would definitely look extremely pale. I put my brown hair, that go along my waist, up into a pony. Putting on my favorite floral perfume, splendid by Sara Jessica Parker, I squealed in the mirror. "There! All neat and presentable! Ooh I look so cute! I'm so self-obsessed! Alright! Stop wasting time."
Wait a minute! Was I just talking to myself? God what's wrong with me? The excitement was getting to me.
Rushing down the stairs I heard Sara greet me and say;
"Breakfasts ready!"
Happily and hungrily I gulped down half of everything on my plate.
"Let's go!" I hopped down from my chair near the breakfast table in the kitchen enthusiastically.
"Not so fast young lady. Finish everything. You have a stomach as big as a birds" Sara frowned and pulled me back into my chair. "Or is it as small as a bird?"
I rolled my eyes at her, her English was never that good.
Ten minutes later "Shall we go now?" asked Sara once I had finished everything.
"Yes!" I couldn't wait any longer.
We made our way to my car; a red Ferrari. I loved speed.
So, I drove for an hour. I was so tired but I couldn't let Sara, or anyone else as a matter of fact, drive MY car!
Finally, very far away from the city, in some rocky area I had no idea about, came into view, a huge palace type of a house. It looked more like a castle. Was this Mum and Dad's friends place? Well, it certainly was HUGE! Behind it seemed like a totally different city. I wondered for more than a moment; where exactly was I? What was the name of this place I had never seen?
After what was another half an hour we finally made it to the gate.
It surly was heavily guarded. Everywhere my eyes went there seemed to be a uniformed guard awaiting our arrival.
We went through the long driveway leading up to what I would call a HUGE mansion or a palace and stopped at the main entrance.
"Sara where should I park? I'm not letting anyone else drive my car."
Sara whispered, "Alright! Let me ask him if he would be kind enough to direct us to an empty parking space."
Why was she being so formal?
Wait a minute! Was that guy telepathic? Cause I can swear Sara only whispered to me and the guard standing nearby pointed to an empty space.
Weird.
Maybe he saw us and ushered us the right place to park? seeing our intentions were clearly getting off and getting in.
At the door, we both were greeted by another servant. Just how many did they have?
Bowing he said "Bonjour Madame Sara, Senorita Elizabeth."
French and Spanish, interesting.
Woah hold on! Did he just address me by my name?
Frozen in spot I looked over to Sara, maybe they knew we were coming and probably knew Sara? There was a very eerie feeling that emitted from this castle.
Life couldn't get any more confusing.
I had to deal with stupid boy drama, the fact that I got letters on every birthday from my parents, who apparently knew they were going to die?
Well boy how wrong was I. Cause the minute my eyes left Sara's, they looked straight into the two people standing in front of me.
My parents.
