A/N, I was really excited to make this chapter for you guys. I don't know if this will be longer but I hope you enjoy it.

Chapter 5: Story Time II

"So, you just left the academy that easily?" Zeb asked suspiciously.

"They were convinced that no-one would try to run. It was also a shift change, no guards for 35 seconds." Sabine was annoyed that Zeb didn't believe what she said.

"Anyway continue" Hera was intrigued by what was being told.

"Sabine just got into town" Riley started.

With Sabine

Sabine had finally escaped from the Academy without trouble. She wanted to know if her family was working. She went to the restaurant where her mother worked but the owner said that she was arrested and no longer worked there.

She then headed to the communications tower where her father worked but everyone said that they haven't seen him in a week. Sabine was worried, what's if the Chairman wasn't lying but she didn't want to give in yet.

She went to the Market last where Riley would help out, whether it was deliveries or covering because someone was sick. When she arrived he wasn't there, she looked round only to receive shaking heads or apologies from the sellers.

Sabine was terrified but she hadn't checked the house yet, she wanted everyone one to be there but she also didn't want to dwell on the fact that they might not be.

She was outside of the house and saw the mark that made the house off-limits. The Chairman wasn't lying, they really were gone but why. She entered the house to grab a few things before headed back to the Academy, but when she entered everything was destroyed or flipped over. Sabine saw blood trailing to the kitchen and followed the trail. She saw Riley on the floor looking colourless, bandages dyed red from the heavy bleeding.

"R-Riley" Sabine stuttered through her tears. "Don't be dead please." She crawled up to him and wrapped her arms around him crying loudly.

"I'm not dead yet" Riley hardly got the words out of his mouth. "What are you doing here?"

"What are you doing getting shot?" Sabine snapped but couldn't stay angry for long.

"Fair enough, help me up will you?" Riley looked in bad shape. "I can't move my left arm and it's hard to breathe alone"

"Sure, what happened here" Sabine looked terrified and a 10 year old had every right to be.

"That's for another time" Riley struggled to stand but eventually made it with Sabine's help.

They talked for a little while and were packing some things because they didn't think it would be a good idea to stay. Sabine grabbed the rest of her paint and Riley grabbed a blaster he had hidden for certain situations.

"Where did you get that?" Sabine was curious.

"I hid it in case of any trouble" Riley looked at Sabine with sadness. "Mom made me promise to keep you safe, and I will with my life."

"Riley, you don't need to do that" she was surprised how fast Riley went from caring to protective, and she still didn't know what happened.

"Are you ready?" Riley had a small blue back pack that carried all essentials.

"Yeah" they left the house which was once called home, and walked out of the town.

Present day

"How did you survive that long without bleeding out?" Kanan now wanting to know vital information.

"One of the shop keepers taught me just in case, poor old sod was executed for selling food at too high a price" Riley smiled at the shop keepers in the market, they all bonded well.

"So any way" Riley continued.

Sabine's Birthday

"Don't open your eyes yet" Riley said excitedly. "We're almost there"

"Where are we going" Sabine also said excitedly.

"You'll see" Riley was laughing now. "Ok we're here, open them up"

Sabine looked round and it was one of the best restaurants in the city, expensive but pretty. They sat down and Sabine was still speechless about what here brother had done for her. But she then realised something, how did Riley get the money.

"So guess you want to know where I got the money from all of this, I did a job a week ago for someone and they paid twice the amount we agreed on" Riley said worried that Sabine would flip.

"It's nice but I thought we were having dinner at the hotel?" Sabine was worried that something bad would happen.

"I did but John, the guy who runs the hotel is moving your present up there at this moment" Riley looked chuffed with himself. "Also, a year ago when I promised you I would take you out, I thought this would be better"

The two ordered their meals and started talking about things on their minds or laughing about events with Empire. When the first meal came the waitress gave Riley a stern look, which neither of them liked.

"What was that about?" Sabine wondered whether it had anything to do with the mission Riley did to obtain the Credits.

"Probably just not use to kids our age dinning alone like this" Riley brushed it off.

"So what was the mission you did?" Sabine regret asking, Riley didn't like anyone asking too many questions.

"Just an intel run. You know, grab this then run there" Riley answered calmly.

The two finished their meals then left not wanting to cause any trouble, but then the waitress stopped them at the door.

"Riley Wren?" the waitress asked

Riley stepped in front of Sabine.

"Yes?" Riley moved his hand down to a pistol.

"You killed my husband a year ago, do you remember that?" the waitress looked like she was about to explode. "A storm trooper just passing by"

"The only storm trooper I killed attacked me first" Riley was now ready. "He attacked me in the fields for target practice"

"He must have had good reason, or are you calling my deceased husband a criminal?" the snapped.

"Nothing of the sort" Riley turned to Sabine and handed her a key. "Run to the hotel I'll meet you there, don't stop, talk or even slow down."

"Ril-" Sabine was cut off by storm troopers entering the building.

Sabine ran knowing that Riley could handle it, and she just ran. She ran towards the hotel and troopers were chasing her. She was grabbed by the collar and shot some storm troopers to get free.

She finally lost them and walked back to the hotel where Riley was stood at the door clenching his arm.

"Are you ok?" Sabine looking worryingly at Riley.

"Just a scratch, come on in" the two siblings walked in and Sabine spoke first.

"What was that about?" Sabine was crying. "What did she mean by a year ago you killed someone?"

"Sit down" Sabine sat and so did Riley. "How many did you kill?"

"4, why?" Sabine asked curiously.

Riley told Sabine the story of what happened, he told her every little detail about that day. She just stared at him the whole time mortified about what he had said.

"What were you thinking!" as she jumped up. "You stupid kid. You got them killed and you didn't even tell me about it. Why are you still here, and don't say 'Because I promised mom'. How could you protect me when you got them ki-"

Sabine stopped herself and realised what she said.

"Riley I didn't mean it, come on don't do this" she was begging him to forgive her. "Riley?"

Riley grabbed a ready packed bag and some armour he bought on the market for some missions. He turned and looked at Sabine with a face that said 'you won't get hurt if I'm not here', and he left.

Sabine just sat down crying blaming herself after making the only person who she cared about leave. She lied down drenching the pillows with her tears and saw a small crate.

She knew it was Riley's present to her. Sabine opened it to find Mandalorian armour like Riley's. This meant that he would have taken her on some missions with him, but instead she could open lye on her bed and hope her brother came back, but he didn't.

Present day

"It was the worst mistake I made" Sabine looked at the helmet which was the first thing she saw in the crate.

"It was my fault. I should have told you sooner and I was the one being the idiot to get them taken away" Riley was about to burst with anger towards himself.

"Not even I would have forgave you or been that stupid to get my parents taken away" Zeb looked like he was about to hurl the table at Riley.

"ZEB! He tried to make it right" Hera trying to defend Riley.

"I'm sorry I just got a little tense their" Zeb had his ears flat against his head.

"Are we done now?" Sabine asked Kanan.

"As long as it's the end of the story" Kanan didn't dare push Riley.

"Thanks, if you need me I'll be on top of the ship" Riley said quite depressed.

"Not yet" said Hera "it's our turn to introduce. The Jedi over there is Kanan, the Lasat is Zeb, the Padawan is Ezra, the droid is Chopper and I'm Hera. The ship is called the Ghost, your new home."

"Thanks, it you want me to leave just say and I'll do it, no questions asked." Riley smiled and left with Sabine to get on top of the Ghost but was stopped by Hera.

"One last thing, your first mission with us is tomorrow" Hera smiled gently and let them leave.

Once Riley and Sabine reached the top of the Ghost, Sabine asked a last question while they sat to watch the sunset.

"Why do you watch the Sunset?"

Riley answered simply. "I watch because I fi was to die the next day, this will be my life. The light sets until it is reborn, just like us. It reminds me that if I die, I am not truly dead."

Riley and Sabine watched the sunset until they fell asleep.

A/N, This was the second part of the story but I'm not stopping, I'll try and upload tomorrow or on Monday. Thanks for reading and Goodbye.
