Chapter 7: Where Is She?
"It's my fault!" Riley punched the wall putting a dent in the cockpit.
"No one could have known" Hera tried to calm him down like they have for the past couple of days.
"I'm the one who told her to detonate the charges" Riley didn't have him helmet on so the rivers of tears were visible.
"We'll get her back" Kanan had a cup of coffee in his hands.
"What's if there's nothing to get back" Riley sat down and lowered his tone. "They'll torture her to get information"
"Don't jump to conclusions" Zeb walked through the door of the cockpit with Ezra. "The information that we got shows the Inquisitors Star destroyer orbiting Lothal."
"We also prepped the path as well" Ezra butted in.
"We don't know what the security will be like, they know we'll go to get her" Hera protested.
"That brings up the second part of our plan" Zeb passed a Data pad to Hera. "They'll transfer her to another star destroyer in 3 days to keep us of track"
"We can intercept it and get Sabine back" Ezra looked happy with the plan.
"There's a problem" Riley stood up. "She'll be on a shuttle during the transfer, a direct attack will blow up the shuttle while trying to board it is nearly impossible"
"So do you have a better plan?" Kanan wasn't happy with their options.
"Two, you can choose. Plan 1, we try and board the shuttle on the ship. Plan 2 we attack the ship before the transfer is ready"
"A vote then" Hera looked round but they were still deciding.
"Plan 2" Kanan blurted
"Yeah plan 2 sounds good" Zeb smirked at the idea of getting revenge on a direct assault.
"Plan 2 I have to agree" Ezra thought that this would be dangerous but then again, what wasn't?
"Plan 2 it is then" Hera told everyone to get ready as they attack in 6 hours.
"Ezra, can I talk to you in private" Riley grabbed his shoulder.
"Um…Yeah sure" Ezra thought this wouldn't be good.
"I asked Sabine to paint this for me" Riley handed him a brown helmet with yellow lines around some parts of it.
"I heard you collect them and thought you might like it" Riley began to walk away but was stopped when Ezra began speaking.
"Why do you risk your life for Sabine, I mean like you do" Ezra hope his words didn't anger Riley.
"Because I killed our parents, so I want to try and keep Sabine from the same fate as them" Riley just walked off and shouted "Hope you like the helmet"
Everyone was getting ready. Riley was checking his equipment, cleaning his orange armour, repainting the red stripes and gathering medical supplies. Zeb clean his Bo-rifle and went to sleep because that's just how he prepares. Kanan was cleaning his lightsaber and meditating. Ezra was looking for power cells to use with his lightsaber-blaster hybrid. Hera was flying while Chopper prepared the guns and checked the Ghost's equipment.
"We'll be there in 5 minutes" Hera called through the comms.
"So we all know the plan" Riley climbed down the ladder. "Let's not fail"
"We won't" Kanan smiled.
"Scratch that, the destroyers here" Hera jerked the ship into the hanger.
"A trap?" Zeb asked as he opened the cargo bay door.
"Doesn't matter, it's already sprung" Kanan ran out of the cargo bay even though the doors weren't fully open but it was empty, just like when they found Riley and the kid who was still not able to speak.
"Again?" Zeb looked confused.
"The Inquisitor's here but unconscious" Kanan readied his lightsaber.
"It's Sabine" everyone looked at Riley.
"But she should be locked away" Ezra interjected.
"She broke out" Riley looked around and saw a door open.
"It's the rest of the rebels sho-" Zeb beat him to it.
"Sabine broke out" Kanan smirked. "Always too stubborn to wait"
"She'll be at the communication room, try to contact us" Ezra walked to an open corridor.
"I would do the same thing" Zeb followed Ezra.
"Zeb stay with Kanan and protect the ship" Riley chased after Ezra.
"But that's not the plan" Zeb didn't like taking the order but had to when Kanan pulled him back.
"So which way" Riley was lost.
"This way" Ezra turned a corner met by a locked door.
"No, we need to find another way" Riley walked up to the door and punched in a code. "They work?"
"How do you know the codes?" Ezra gave a suspicious look.
"I heard some guards talk about override codes and one of them said it out loud" Riley continued to walk. "But they never worked before"
Riley turned another corner only to be tackled by a brightly coloured object. Then he realised it was Sabine.
"You got me captured" Sabine didn't know how to feel.
"I know but you fell" Riley pushed of his brightly coloured sibling then got up.
"So you didn't go to the armoury?" Riley walked off.
"Why the armoury?" Sabine slowed down.
"Because that's where they keep the items of prisoners" Riley stopped and looked at Ezra. "Oh hi Ezra, thanks for saving me from the Empire"
"You're welcome Sabine" Ezra joined in.
"Sorry Ezra didn't see you there" Sabine looked over her shoulder with a friendly smile.
Riley punched in the same code as the door and walked to the back of the room. There was Sabine's helmet, blasters, communicator and a chip.
"When did you take this?" Riley put the chip in the side of his helmet.
"The day we left for the mission" Sabine put on her helmet and holstered her weapons.
"Spector 5 to Spector 1, I'm fine. I'm with Spector 6 and Spector 7" Sabine called through the comms.
"First of why didn't Spector 6 call this in?" Kanan sounded angry.
"Still broken from the last mission" Ezra flinched at Kanan's sigh of disapproval.
"There is no Spector 7" Kanan knew what Sabine was trying to do.
"There is now" Sabine put the communicator away.
The three teens ran back to the hanger where the ship was, but it was still empty and Zeb looked bored.
"Ready?" Zeb asked walking into the Ghost.
"Is that a question?" Ezra smirked.
A/N, this was hard to write because it wasn't as planned as the rest but it was still fun. Thanks for reading and Goodbye.
